Hi guys 🥰 how are you? Today I’ve worked and I am just chilling with my mum at our local spa pool! I had therapy on Tuesday and it was really good! We are focusing on being more positive and looking into the law of attraction. I am currently in a job which I find very demanding (early, unsocial hours and demanding physically) and it’s been getting me down- my instant fear is that I’ll go back to be being depressed and although I was once very sad I survived it I don’t want to go back to that place again. So instead of bottling it all up 😬 I spoke to my therapist about it! We chatted and I ranted about how I can’t do it. I have 6 weeks left at work! So I’m breaking it down into chunks. Day by day. I wake up instead of dreading the day ahead- I try to take a moment to breathe and say to myself ‘today will be a good day, I will not be afraid of what could go wrong, I will focus on what is going right and I will calmly find solutions to anything that comes in my way.’ I feel silly doing it, however with the law of attraction if I tell myself I’m going to have a good day- I will manifest on it- and probably have an above average day. However, if I wake up and instantly think of how long a shift I have, or how tired I am, or how much I hate working. Then I manifest on that. And have a bad day! I know it seems silly just thinking about having a good day. Especially when depression and anxiety is heavy on your back- instead of having thoughts on having a good day- I focus on just having a ‘day’ of just surviving the day in order to make it more manageable for myself! I hope this small insight into my mind helps some people!🎉 please feel free to tell me of any tips you guys have🥰🧠 🌈
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has quickly become one of the biggest names in Hollywood opening up about depression. The Skyscraper star appeared on ITV's Lorraine recently, and a discussion of his newborn daughter led to Johnson talking about his lifetime battles with mental illness. "Depression doesn't discriminate, and I thought that was an important part of the narrative if I was going to share a little bit of my story of the past," he said. "Regardless of who you are or what you do for a living or where you come from, it doesn't discriminate, we all kind of go through it. If I could share a little bit of it and if I could help somebody, I'm happy to do it." Johnson noted that the conversation — and ongoing stigma — around depression needs to change with men. "There's just a DNA, a wiring in us and a constitution that oftentimes doesn't let us talk about when we're scared or vulnerable or things like that," the actor said. "It's kind of like what's been deemed as 'toxic masculinity.' You've got to talk about it and you're not alone.
