Another favorite on the list, Death Valley National Park. I think Death Valley is fascinating! It’s so crazy that in this photo we are 100 ft below sea level and currently, we live at almost 10,000 ft above sea level !! Death Valley is also close to one of our favorite drives, Highway 395 towards Mt. Whitney, the highest point in the US. You can literally go from the lowest point in North America, Bad Water Basin in Death Valley to the highest point in the US, Mt. Whitney in just over 100 miles. Isn’t that amazing?!?! #thevaliantlife#deathvalley#findyourpark
I’ve been feeling a little overwhelmed lately... but in a mostly-good way, if you can imagine that. I’ve been pulled in so many directions I’ve needed to be REALLY mindful of what I spend my time and attention on. It’s a pretty cool feeling for someone who used to only let things choose them rather than the other way around. There’s some serious power in being able to surrender to the universe and go where it takes you, but there’s just as much power in intentionally creating yourself. It’s a balance. It always is. I’ve been working on this for my whole life, and while I know things will come up and tip the scales again, I’m just happy to be here.

Zabriskie Point in Death Valley at night is something else. So quiet that all I could hear was the ringing in my ears 😆 What an insane adventure - pulling up at night, hiking in freezing temperatures and scouting for shot ideas with walkie talkies. Incredible group effort with @benjamin_farren & @thenightstuff
We arrived in Death Valley the first night after dark and set up camp. Our first destination and first real look at the area during light was Zabriskie Point. The size and textures of this area are overwhelming and feels like that of another planet. The colors of the textures placed in perfect harmony with the colors of the glowing sky. We knew regardless of what happened the rest of the trip, the first sunrise alone made the trip worth it alone.
Red Cathedral Sunrise - Last Sunday's sunrise was an embarrassment of riches. It was tough to decide what to shoot because everything was beautifully lit in almost every direction. This image is one of many captured that morning.
Keeping your eye on the ball at Devil's Golf Course. 👹⛳ . Once covered by a lake some 2000 years ago, do walk with caution into this 1000 foot bed of salt and mineral formations. These spiky mounds and infernal stalagmites are very sharp and leave little room for walking through the narrow passages. . Many Thanks to @nationalparkgeek for the feature 🙏🏻
