Bank holi-yaaaay.... • Monday was spent as all should be...in Ikea eating meatballs, hotdogs and lingonberry juice ✌️ • Currently bathed in dogs with my feet up on the sofa....watching the other half build flat pack furniture 😜
Venice is definitely one of the most romantic cities in the entire world. It is a place that you wouldn’t probably consider to bring your toddlers to. Well, I tell you a little secret…you will work your muscles a lot while carrying a pram on all the bridges, but your toddlers will totally love this city due to the endless amount of boats, gondolas, pigeons and bridges! …..⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’ll tell you another secret! I used to study in Venice and my experience of this city is definitely different to the tourist visit. I was there in 2008 when Venice was hit by the biggest floods since 1986. 95% of the historic city centre was under water. Most of the time I would not mind all the crowds. However when you study in Venice you do not appreciate its beauty enough as you feel you have it every day! It was just incredible to be back again and show this city to my little family. When I said to Lily that mummy used to live here…she replied ‘I lived here too’ hahah I don’t blame her as it is amazing city.
Now that the Easter Holiday is over I can get caught up on some stuff that I’ve been procrastinating on. Like my blog review of the Four Seasons Maui. Our travel has been non-stop through April so it will be nice to finally be back at our home base. : I think my vlog from the amazing trip with Delta Air Lines to the Masters will be ready Wednesday! I can’t wait to share more of that amazing journey with you all!
Earth day IS everyday but let’s celebrate this beautiful planet today by saying NO 👎🏻 to single use plastic! 💪🏽 #saynotoplastic • It’s so heartbreaking going back to beautiful places only to find them covered in plastic waste. This is our creation! And if we don’t do something to stop it, soon the entire earth will be a #plasticparadise 🤮 No beautiful landscapes, no clean beaches, no clean air... and definitely no fertile land upon which to grow our crops or build our lives. ✋ we must stop this now!! • • Comment your ideas for replacing plastic with more sustainable resources and what you do to avoid waste.... 💪🏽 #recicla#noplastic + Photo taken in beautiful #lesotho by @rogertravelstheworld This is one of the few countries I’ve visited lately where trash didn’t seem to be everywhere. Maybe we have something to learn from them!
Oh spring please don’t go 🙏🏻 . Today on the blog you can find our Nautical adventures in collaboration with @ilgufo_official , so many beautiful pictures shot around the dreamiest Notting Hill with my babies matching head to toes in their S/S2019 collection which without a doubt i’d like to wear myself 😅🤭 (direct link in my bio if you’d like to have a look)#ilgufo#ad
. . #cevicheperuano#lima#friends#worldtour#tourdumonde#peru#solotraveler#dametraveller#citylife
A Menemen, a typical turkish breakfast which is scrambled eggs made with tomato, green peppers and spices- that’s the classic one. Some can be with meat or cheese. The special thing is that the eggs are runny and baked in a oven so you can tear up a piece of bread and dunk it in! A yummy way to start the day! 🍳
Welcome to Jamaica! 🇯🇲 Country number 162/195. #visiteverycountry If you imagine Jamaica to be a lush green country where people listen to the tunes of Bob Marley, smoke the herb and generally tell you “Ya Mon” to take it slow, of course unless they are driving - as fast as Usain Bolt, then you’re right! We arrived in Kingston, the capital which most tourists avoid and escape to large resorts in the North. We didn’t mind Kingston, sure it’s a little gritty and the roads and traffic here are terrible. But you scratch the surface and it might grow on you. We continued across the island and made it to Treasure Beach, a quieter side of Jamaica. This could be a cool little hang our for independent travellers, but as we learned quickly, there are not that many here. WHAT DO YOU KNOW ABOUT JAMAICA? 😉 #visitjamaica#jamaicaflag#caribbean
#gdeolya_film
Are any of you curious to learn more about traveling to India with kids? Maybe wondering if it's a good destination to visit with little ones? If so, this week's feature is for you! Over the next few days, we'll be sharing some thoughts and advice from @localpassportfamily following their family adventure to India. "Everything is so vibrant in India - the sites, the clothing, the food. It's a visual feast. The people are also very accommodating of kids - they're expected to run and play and no one will be mad if they're a little loud! It's a great destination for families to go beyond their comfort zones and learn and just be constantly engaged," Preethi says.⠀ ⠀ Have any of you already visited India with your family too? If so, what was your experience like? Share with us in the comments! #gowithnugget⠀ 📷: @localpassportfamily⠀ ⠀
Absolute freedom ✌🏻💫. This is how I feel without an itinerary to stick to, a job to worry about, or someone else to consider. I’ve never felt this in my life. It’s been one month of mishaps, resilience, happiness, and endless mind stimulation in South America. This is my dream (minus some of the mishaps.) And I couldn’t have predicted how wonderful it would be. Now, please take a moment and think about what it would take to fit in time to do this on your own, maybe for just one month. And don’t settle for “it would be too hard.” I do realize I’m in an easy spot to do this - I don’t own a house or have a partner or have kids, and I was fortunate and smart with my job/money. However, if you make something a priority, YOU CAN DO IT. If you need a boost of confidence, start by reading Jen Sincero’s You are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life. It’s the most real and motivating book I’ve ever read and re-read. What’s holding you back from taking a trip on your own? Fear? The unknown? Your job? You have young children? Plan for a year that makes sense and start researching! It will change your life for the better, I promise 😉.
