So my buddy @cruztattuz drew up this piece. For some reason he always seems to present me with these drawings that fit my life at that moment. I won’t get into others we have done but I will say something about this one. I been struggling with certain things in my life and it’s creating these demons I never had. I was thinking to myself that my sanctuary and my happiness is in my children. The two things that matter the most and make me the happiest are my kids. So as I looked at this drawing, I saw this. The demon in me (skull) found sanctuary (church) in my kids (roses). I don’t know how this happened but it did. Maybe those talks we have over the years and lately put something in his subconscious and this came out WHO KNOWS! But I’m loving the way it’s coming out. Took 120’s out for a spin. This was my second set. The point of the Dumbbell Bench is to completely isolate your muscle instead of barbell bench where you rely on both sides (which is a compound exercise). It improves strength and with proper form you’ll see nice results. Thanks @jatttmones for the spot, dude’s a beast #lfg
Shorts season is almost here and I have to say my calves are definitely not ready are yours ? 🦵 😜I couldn’t wait to get to the gym so I decided to do a few sets at work! Once something gets in my head I have to act on it. 📝My new plan for the next 3 months will be to hit them at least 3x a week at the end of each workout. 💪🏼I also started doing abs at the beginning of each workout and not the end. ..... The pic on the left is me in November 2018. 190 pounds the heaviest I ever been in my whole life. It happens to a lot of us skinny guys when we don’t take care of ourselves. We get skinny fat. I’m 34. I’m married with 3 kids. My twins were born March of ‘17 and my other son May of ‘18. As you can imagine things got hectic and I went full on Dadbod. The gym was not on my mind. It had not been in almost 2 years. I was lazy and tired all the time eating tons of junk. The most important thing to me was to take care of my family. In doing that I forgot the most important part. I stopped taking care of myself. Then my dad died. Alarms started going off. 🚨🚨🚨. Everything I thought I knew about Life changed. Things had to change. I had To change. I was in for a rude awakening. When you haven’t been to the gym in 2 years you can’t just walk in and expect to do the things you used to. My knees were weak , my lower back was extremely tight and my strength was gone. So I came up with a plan. I started a log book of my workouts. I cut out all the junk for the most part And things started to change. I activated this Page to track my progress and keep me Motivated. I am in no way trying to be a Professional bodybuilder. I’m not a certified personal trainer I’m just Trying to be better everyday. I want my Body and mind in the best condition it could possible Be in to help me keep a active healthy lifestyle for My family. I started to feel like an old man at some points unable to even bend down and pick something up because of how tight My body was. I want nothing more then to be able to keep up with my kids. If you read this all the way through I Thank you. I don’t know where this journey Is taking me but I decided to just let it go. I hope some people relate that would be great.
