Last weeks power snatch PB 51kg 🎉 . There's a silver lining to not being able to squat recently..working on my powers constantly! I seem to always get a PB during or after a WOD mainly because I'm super warm and filled with a little bit of adrenaline. 👆 This was the last snatch of the WOD (doesn't count if you don't film it right 🙊) where I had already hit a new PB of 50kg on the lift before this one, so thought I would chuck 1 extra kilo on it 🏋️... 1 more kilo however, my head was having none of it🙅♀️. My previous attempt at a power snatch was around 47kg so a 4 kg increase 💁🏻♀️. I think it was because I was using a pink bar 💅 🤷♀️ . Happy ☀ day

STUBBORN WEIGHT FLUCTUATIONS! As we approach the end of January, and you may start to get frustrated with the “lack of results” you’re seeing on the scale let me remind you of a few things my friends! ➖YOU ARE NOT BROKEN. And likely not doing anything wrong!!! TRUE HEALTHY FAT LOSS IS SLOW. ➖THE SCALE IS NOT THE ONLY METRIC THAT MATTERS!!!! Take pictures!!! How is your energy? How do your clothes fit? How are you sleeping? How is your stress? THESE MATTER! ➖If you just started weight training— your body is storing more muscle glycogen (carbs) and water = scale not moving. ➖EVERYONE ON IG IS HIKING THEIR PANTS UP TO THEIR NECKS!!! It’s okay, we’ll all do it... but Stop comparing your normal every day body to people’s poses spandex smooth lower bellies! ➖I weigh the exact same and my weight has been ALL OVER the place this month! But my body is slowly, and realistically, leaning out! ➖I am knowledgeable in fitness and macros and whatever but CANT CHANGE THAT MY BODY STORES ALL ITS FAT IN MY LOWER STOMACH! Trust me, I used to be SO ANGRY about this, and felt insecure about this. Now I accept it as it is! . . 💁🏼♀️🙌🏻 Tag a friend who needs to hear this. Share it. Shout it from the rooftops!
Sunday’s are for reflection. As I sit here with my coffee, Grey’s Anatomy in the background, 8 hrs of sleep under my belt. (Adult gold star ⭐️, high five if you got your Zzz’s 🖐🏻) If life always came with that easy button, who would we be at this moment? Boring in my opinion. 😉 Our challenges & experiences are what shape us into the WISER person we are today. You break the mold just by being you. ⭐️ No one can be you. ⭐️ No one has your experiences. ⭐️ No one has your gifts. ⭐️ No one has your birthmarks or your stretch marks or your wrinkles or your sun spots from losing the weight, giving birth to miracles, or laughing for hours in the sun with friends loving life. ⠀ Without the challenges, the failures, the judgements, the clouds of fear that hover over us from time to time, how would we learn to love & appreciate the good shit? ⠀ ⠀ My challenge for you today, sit down and reflect. Think about how the negatives in your life can transcend into positives. ▪️Needing to lose 20lbs will transcend into making the moves necessary to live a healthier life. ▪️Needing to acknowledge your worth will transcend into you taking time for you which will lead to you manifesting the life of your dreams. ▪️Needing to cut toxic people from your life will lead to you surrounding yourself with people that build you higher. ▪️Needing to improve your relationship with your partner or people in your life will lead to growth & you gaining a deeper understanding of yourself & others. But these will never work if you don’t. YOU how the power.
