I decided to convert my living room into a big open space so I can do more yoga, mobility and strength exercises. Working on core strength and flexibility this year is my main focus so that I can improve my handstands and get back my splits. Depending on the type of training session that was had cool down protocols can differ. Here is an example of a cool down for an athlete post an open style workout: 5-10 minute easy spin on bike (Sipping on recovery drink during this time). The goal here is lower heart rate as well as flush out any lactate. + Foam Roll Series (Tspine, Lats, Pecs, Biceps, Hamstrings, Calf, Quads, IT Band). Keep it simple here 10-15 GENTLE passes per area and the occasional extra time on an area that needs extra attention. ▪️ 📸@palkovisual
