Stomping through this week with a purpose. 1) Get this week’s shoots done ✅ 2) Finish uploading newer work to my website, and cull the older work. 3) Reflect. Reflection is really important for me right now, for both my Indie Biz growth and my Photographic skill/ Creative Voice. Am I improving? Am I changing? Is my work moving in the direction I want it to, is it up to standard l, and am I pushing myself in the right way? I’d been out of the loop 2017 and most of 2018 due to my physical and mental health, so this year felt like I’d pushed a big ol’ ‘Reset’ button! , and 6 months in feels like a good time to pull out the @indie_roller road map and plan my next moves 💖
The weird thing about social media for some of us creatives, is how we don’t always engage with the content that resonate with us the most, the content that reaches right into our soul and has a profound impact on us. not because we don’t value the content, not because we don’t value the messenger, but because we live SO deeply from the inside, and when something reaches us that way, we do what we were born to do: we turn inward, we asses, we integrate, and then we ACT on that shit. And we know that every single thing we do – even those small things like double tapping or commenting – require energy. Require decisions. And sometimes require us to stray off the course the content inspired us to in the first place. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So to all of you out there who’re following without following, who're being inspired and then running with it, no looking back: I feel you. By definition, a wildflower is a flower that grows freely, resiliently, and beautifully. Wildflowers find themselves growing anywhere. They grow in the most unlikely of places, even in the darkest of night. They find any cracks and crevices that will allow them to sprout up, and they do just that. I find this to be so true in business as well as your own personal life. Just sharing a bit of inspiration this afternoon for anyone feeling stuck within their business journey.
