When trying to make a lifestyle change, there are two strategies I commonly see out there. One is based on pushing, writing a long list of rules and striving for consistency, even when our bodies tell us otherwise. The other is based on alignment, it is about working smart (and not hard), it is about making space. 🎁 I used to be someone that pushed for what I wanted and after nearly 3 decades doing so, I finally realized that I was getting in my own way. No matter what you are trying to achieve, should it be releasing 50 pounds or leaving your corporate position and launching your dream business, when you focus on aligning with what life is offering you, you became able to make room for incredible miracles to take place. 💓 Here is my little process for seeking alignment: I start by taking a couple of seconds to breathe and then I focus on the top of my head (crown Chakra area) until I feel a gentle relaxation. I then allow that sensation to go down my body and I imagine myself grounding in something beautiful. Sometimes the sensation makes me feel like I am floating towards the sky! I then set an intention and I offer some words of gratitude, and only then... I get to work. My commitment to myself is to align and make room before I start any big task, every single day. I hope you find your process and if you already have one, I would love to hear about it!!
This week has been a bit of a rough one for me as I haven’t been feeling my best and have been taking things super easy so that my body can rest and heal as quickly as possible. Luckily today I am finally starting to feel better so I’m hoping to be able to really enjoy this weekend. Luckily I’ve had this girl by my side to keep me company and help brighten my days!🐶💕 Blue Eyes is such an amazing dog, she always seems to know when I need her most and is the best friend any girl could ask for. I’m also super excited because her birthday is in five days and I love having that reason to spoil her a little bit, especially since I found out she’s a bit overweight so she has been on a strict meal plan and veggies became her treats. Hoping to make her a cake out of some fruits and maybe even a little peanut butter.🍰 #girlsbestfriend#vegandog#dogsofinstagram#blueeyes

ʙ ʟ ɪ s s : sɪɴɢɪɴɢ ᴄɪʀᴄʟᴇ ᴡɪᴛʜ @emmittsamantha x song is one of the ancient languages of community. when we sing together, we rise together. in this workshop we will learn uplifting heart felt songs that will enable our souls to vibrate our vocal chords and stomp our feet to the rhythm of the drum. you don’t have to be a singer, you don’t have to be musical. this is open to everyone that loves music in any way, or anyone that wants to explore singing. singing is the instrument of the soul, therefore everyone can sing. if you feel scared to sing, that may be an indication that there is something very powerful here for you. the voice is incredibly vulnerable, and because of that, it is incredibly empowering. you will be guided by samantha emmitt, who spent one year leading song circles everyday in the ashram she lived at in bali. with experience, great passion towards music and opening peoples hearts, know you will be safe and held in this space. there will be time to be creative, time to move your body, time to share your own songs if you are called to and time to connect in a way that is profound beyond words. come sing and play with us! x sᴜɴᴅᴀʏ ᴍᴀʀᴄʜ 31, 11ᴀᴍ-12ᴘᴍ $20 + ᴘʀᴏᴄᴇssɪɴɢ ғᴇᴇ ᴄᴏᴍᴇ ᴀs ʏᴏᴜ ᴀʀᴇ! x #thesubtlemind#createthesubtlemind#sound#sing
➰ „Yoga is not something we do - it‘s something we are.“ ➰ — the last three weeks have not only been all about learning teaching skills, advancing my own yoga practice and diving deep into the science of yoga — but also about embodiment. Embodying the knowledge that I have gained through this amazing training, opening wide and being sensitive. I don’t think that words could ever describe the rollercoaster of emotions that rushed through my veins as I began to really understand what yoga is about for me. It is so much more than just a physical practice. Yoga for me is all about being present in each and every moment. Finding beauty in stillness. Embracing vulnerability. Rising high and tapping into my higher self. Living a purposeful life. — the biggest tool in this has definitely been breathing. Harnessing the power of our breath really does change everything. On and off the mat. One of my fave statements of our @zunayoga trainer was ‘you can only go as deep as you can take yourself’ — and this applies to everything in life. Breathing is definitely a tool that I will use a lot more from now. _____________________ Thank you so much @zunayoga for this amazing program - for guiding me through the next steps on my journey of being a teacher. I loved it so much and I am so so grateful to be part of the Zuna family — until next time 🌴✨ ______________________ Wearing @indigoluna_store ☀️ #yogateachertraining#ubud#bali#zunayoga#mindfulness#yoga#yogalife#yogaeverydamnday#yogalove#love#spaciousness#lifeisbeautiful#azadiretreat#junglevibes#yogashala#joy#bliss#consciousliving#happiness#yogajourney#yogateacher#yogapose#yogainspo#yogisofinstagram#happydays

Allowing the truth of who you are - your spiritual Self - to rule your life means you stop the struggle and learn to move with the FLOW of your life ~ Oprah Winfrey. - A couple of years ago in Portugal, when flow led me to this magical retreat centre @monte_orada_portugal - Would love to run a mindfulness and personal development retreat here one day for those who are looking for healing, transformation and empowerment on all levels. ✨ So far this vision only exists in my head, but you watch me manifest it!!! 😊💃 If you live in Europe and you are reading this right now, would you be interested in a retreat like this in beautiful sunny Portugal? | INNER GODDESS | Think back. Remember a time you felt confident and in control; wanna feel like that again? We all have a fiery, sexy, powerful inner Goddess waiting to be unleashed right now. Self-empowerment lights our internal fire, making us glow, improves our relationships, provides the self-belief to pursue the career we want and leads to better sex. 1. DON’T wait for weight. You are beautiful, sensual and desirable just as you are. Believe it. The sexiest curve on a woman is her smile, show yours often. 2. DON’T be a people pleaser. We all have a certain amount of unavoidable tasks to perform but constantly saying yes to things you don’t want to do can have a seriously detrimental effect on your physical and emotional health. 3. STAND in your own power. Ultimately you don’t need anyone’s approval. Don’t let negative comments make you think you can’t. YOU CAN!!! 4. BE present. Thinking “when I had... in the past I was confident” or “when I get... in the future I will be confident” will lead to a spiral of self-doubt about who you are now. What you have right here, right now will work for you if you let it. Trust me. 5. BE kind to yourself. When was the last time you paid a friend a compliment? When was the last time you paid yourself a compliment? Get the point? 6. HAVE some self-belief. Clichéd, I know but if you don’t believe in yourself how can you expect anyone else to? #divinefeminine#meditation#meditate#holisticliving#holistichealing#holistic#selflove#selfcare#higherconsciousness#yoga#reiki#inspiration#yogalifestyle#yogacommunity#yogi#mindful#mindfulness#consciousness#consciousliving#namaste#lawofattraction#instalove#instadaily#instagood#spiritual#spirituality#wanderlust#wellness#positivevibes#growth
Making a few lifestyle changes to reduce my single-use plastic consumption hasn’t been an overnight task. Rather, as I’ve gradually finished using the products I already own, I’ve tried to find more eco-friendly alternatives to replace them. @immanuellak’s suggestion to try out the @lush_ausnz ‘Jason and the Argan Oil’ shampoo bar (packaging-free) was perfectly timed. I gave it a go for the first time this morning and LOVED it 👌🏼 I haven’t tried my conditioner bar yet, as I wanted to try each product separately, but it’s ready to go as soon as my bottled conditioner runs out. A big shout out to everyone who is getting on board, recommending products, sharing tips and tricks, or just generally being supportive and encouraging 😘🌿 If anyone has a suggestion on how to reuse or upcycle an old shampoo bottle, I’m all ears... #consciousliving#zerowaste#sustainableliving#ecofriendly#shampoobar#lushcosmetics#lushshampoobar#saynotosingleuseplastic
There are many faces of healing. Each day I look and feel differently. I’m still picking up the pieces of myself, ending up with some extra, tossing them, and creating a whole new me. It’s such a process of rediscovering myself. Loving myself and accepting exactly where I am right now isn’t easy. ♥️ I’ve been struggling to get my place painted and organized since January. I wonder where the time has gone and why it’s taking me so long. But so many nights I’ve been in the middle of a project and had to stop and feel emotions. 🌊 Let them flow through me, hug myself, self soothe, and yes, on many occasions actually go outside and hug a tree. 🌱 And other days the sun is out and I’ve spent hours just laying in the sun, grounding, in silence listening to the hum of the wind through the trees and birds singing. 🌞 Soaking up light medicine and allowing my mind to empty itself into nothingness. This frees my soul and lifts me up. But more than that, it unburdens me and I can see the difference when I look in the mirror, the worry melts away. Taking time for myself to slow down and really FEEL into the moment brings peace. And right now, peace of mind is my top priority. When my mind is quiet, life seems to flow naturally. ✨ . . . #selfcare#selflove#gowiththeflow#lightmedicine#consciousliving#naturelover#grounding#souljourney#shadowwork
Our children are our greatest teachers. My eldest has been off his food again lately. Not ideal as I’m trying to get them through their Candida protocol before winter. I’ve been a frantic mumma, trialling smoothie combinations in attempt to get him eating breakfast. Every kind of frozen fruit is in my freezer. I’ve fallen into questioning myself as a mother and there have been tears. Many tears. Two days ago Nullah drank his smoothie out of guilt - I could tell he was only doing so to save my pain. In that moment something triggered within me. I remembered that dietary protocols and guidelines are only there to serve us. If we reach a point where our health is hindered by a routine or restriction, of course it is ok to make adjustments. It doesn’t matter that smoothies work wonders for myself and my daughter; they don’t work so well for my son. That is the beauty of bioindividuality. Nullah is a Vata and the seasons are changing. It makes sense that he no longer wants a smoothie. He’s instead craving the warmer foods, the oatmeal pancakes and the comfort of raw honey and cinnamon. It all makes perfect sense when I just step back to see it. There are three reminders here that I am thankful for. The first is that our bodies are different - what works for one may not work for another. Secondly, we are all undergoing a process of change. As it cools down we may find ourselves reaching for different foods - this is ok. It is natural. The last and most important reminder is to listen to our intuition when it comes to food. Our bodies know what they need (comfort/junk food cravings excepted - these come from a place of ego, not intuition). If you are working through a healing protocol as we are, remember to listen first to your body and then to the guidelines you’ve been given. Trust yourself to find the adjustments you need and work gently with your practitioner to find the way forward. I am thankful to my son for shining his light on my need to
