S E R P E N T ✦ P OW E R 🐍 When I was slipping into the dream time night before last I clearly saw a coiled up snake appear directly in front of the temple door (the Goddess Temple here where I hold my Shakti circles). I felt it as a blessing upon the 6-month Shakti Circle that 8 of us are about to embark upon starting this Sunday♥️ I can feel the potency of this container & the women who have committed to be a part of it. The snake is a powerful ally for me so I’m not surprised she has shown up at this time. I am totally in awe of the women this offering has attracted, in spite of wondering if I was going to be able to fill the circle. Once I fully owned my commitment to this offering, I had so many enquiries and in the end had to turn some women away. The coiled up snake is a symbol of Kundalini Shakti - the divine feminine energy within each of us; She who wants to awaken us to our true power. For me personally, she is the intelligence which lives inside me; my internal compass which guides me in each moment, should I be willing to tune in. It’s interesting to notice the impact of the shedding that has occurred these last few weeks as I literally grow new skin over about one-third of my legs after the burn “accident”. It has really clarified what I am truly passionate about & what I want to show up for. I’m not interested in putting my energy into anything that doesn’t fully align with this. I am feeling the higher octave offerings ready to come through me as I inhabit my skin more fully. Early this morning, DMPD officers responded to assist DMFD with a structure fire at an apartment complex in the 3700 block of MLK Parkway. Officers arrived to find that heavy smoke was preventing their access to the 3rd floor. . After 2 rejections on the new rewrite of The Last Bookstore (aka my first manuscript or 'problem child') I have gone back to drawing board. 1st rejection said "writing strong but story is not for me". 2nd said "like the story but writing doesn't sparkle enough." Ha! You've gotta laugh or you'd weep! I am taking this as encouragement - because previously there were major structural issues with the book and I think November's epic rewrite went a long way towards fixing those. Now I am working on the 'sparkle'. Not with another big structural edit like previously in which the plot chapters and scenes were overhauled, but a microscopic level one. Called the "oral edit". Reading out loud as though you're performing it, listening for every word that sounds wrong. Rewriting paragraphs on every page. It's just as arduous in its way as the structural and probably takes the same amount of time (probably get 10 pages done per hour, of a 260-page manuscript). But it's easier to do in that hour before work than the structural edit was. You can dip in and out whereas the structural edit requires long periods of uninterrupted focus. Anyway, it's all a big and beautiful learning curve! And if you read this far, hello and thank you! 🙋♀️🥇🌹

It gives me the energy I need to run around with them. ⠀ ⠀ The smiles are why I eat a balanced diet and try not to indulge at every meal. It keeps me healthy so I can be here for them. ⠀ ⠀ All of this gives me the confidence to be my most self-confident self. ⠀ ⠀ They are my absolute why for everything I do.
Once the initial honeymoon phase of relationships end, the real commitment struggle starts... It is hard to be a great person at all times... What needs to be admitted is that we all fall short. It is what we do in those moments, that shape the health of the relationship. Learning an adult, takes more than a few months/years. (Un)Fortunately, it takes a lifetime because we evolve as we live... That is why it is of utmost importance to commit to the relationship, in order to make it last. When you commit, you are dedicating yourself to the good as well as the bad times. Understanding that noone is above having a bad moment, & it does not make them a bad person... Handle them with care and consideration. When you hurt your mate, you cannot decide how they are to respond to the pain, nor how long they can be hurt from what you did. What you can control is what you do next to ease the pain and fill in the gap. Don't respond to pain with pain/anger... Many times, confusion is in your delivery. If you truly mean no harm, your commitment requires you to logically assess the situation from their shoes. Take into consideration that they are hurting and gently try to find out the "why". Their "why" is most likely "how" you handled them. Respond in love, admitting that you could and would do things better in the future so they understand that hurting them wasn't your intent. Responding in love, starts the healing and diffusion of the situation. For every action there is a reaction. If your actions were poor, you should expect that the reaction be in kind. You hurt the Entire relationship by apologizing simply to make them "shut up". That's immature: Grit your teeth and JUST Listen to your mate when they are telling you what you did to harm them. Most times it's the delivery of the information, NOT the information delivered. Get it. Acknowledge it. Move on. Understanding THAT will yield less apologies, better sex, & a stronger bond! Who's Not All for ALL of that?!
