We made it through Thanksgiving, guys, but the holidays are far from over. . Christmas and New Year’s are right around the corner, and with them all the parties, family gatherings, and various opportunities to go totally off the rails with your nutrition. . Or maybe you haven’t even been back on the rails since you crashed and burned on Thanksgiving. . Shreyas and I are going to put our heads together and tackle this common pitfall that everyone deals with this time of year. . Tune in on TUESDAY, Dec. 18th, exactly one week before the big day, for our No BS Fit Pro Videocast Holiday Spectacular. . See you then! 💪🎅🏻
The power of positive thinking and the law of attraction are not phrases to keep in mind in your day to day- they are practises that should be consciously implemented in your everyday practise. Positive visualization follow the principle that if you picture something and believe that it’s possible, you can make it happen in your life. I encourage you to try something in the next week. Write a couple of things you would like to achieve in the new year. It could be paying off a debt, saving for a holiday or having all of your bills paid. Now take time to honestly ask yourself: can you visualise what achieving these goals looks like? If you cannot picture yourself with these things, won’t attract those things to you. Abundance can be yours if you’ll learn to first decide what it is that you want and then decide that it can be yours! #abundance#abundancemindset#mindset#mindfulness#empath#psychic#psychicreading#readings#reiki#reikipractitioner#reading#healing#healer#clairvoyant#energyworker#energyhealer#energyworkers#coaching#coach
I did it! Well, I did two things... I got back to the gym for the first time after being out since I was pregnant, but most importantly, I left Colt for the first time ever... That was my excuse, that I didn't want to leave Colt or leave Derrick with all three kids. And that's what it was. An excuse. I've been doing small things at home and going for walks, but I hadn't stepped foot in the gym since I was around two months pregnant. And as much as I hate to admit, I was using the kids as my excuse to not really get my ass in full gear. Want to know what made this all happen today? Well, I have my work Christmas party tonight and I went to figure out what dress to wear... welp, only one fit. After telling Derrick, he told me to go to the gym. Now before you start thinking he's being insensitive, stop, lol! He's known I've been wanting to get back to the gym and he knows I prefer straight forwardness over sugarcoating. Plus, he knew that's exactly what I needed to hear. He said he got the kids and to just go, to stop making excuses. So I went, it felt great and when I came home, Colt was sound asleep. 🙌🏼 I'm only 10 weeks post partum and have made decent progress, but I'm ready to get back in shape! I want my pre-baby body back. Nothing wrong with that! I'm excited and fired up to get back to it! It's go time!

✅Dates contain vitamins such as B1, B2, B3 and B5, and C. Not only will it keep you healthy, there will be a noticeable change in your energy levels as well because dates contain natural sugars such as glucose, sucrose, and fructose, too. So it works really well as a quick snack. ✅Dates are rich in selenium, manganese, copper, and magnesium, and all of these are required when it comes to keeping our bones healthy, and preventing conditions such as osteoporosis. ✅dates also contain iron, which is highly recommended for those who suffer from iron deficiency. #coaching#coachingpnl#acompañamiento#viajaaloprofundodetumente#coach#coachee#potencialinterno#preguntaspoderosas#metamodelaje#budeadentrodeti
I don’t know about you but whenever I’m sick, struck down by a lergy (as I have been these last few day...again!) it always feels like this. ⭐️ Like I’m going through a ‘dark night of the soul’. ⭐️ My mind starts to ruminate, it starts to pull every perceived ‘flaw’ apart, wondering where I could have done things differently, what could be changed. ⭐️ It even sometimes just wants to go into self imposed exile. Hiding from the world, perhaps setting up a yurt in a forest, becoming self sustaining and not having to interact with modern society. ⭐️ It questions my every move. Wonders how I got here.... why I’m not an artist, or zoologist, exploring jungles or anything else I once thought I might be. ⭐️ It sometimes suggests I throw it all in, give up and be ‘ordinary’ (yeah, that one doesn’t last long 😂). ⭐️ Slowly you see it, instead of just feeling grumpy and rather negative, you slowly begin to see what’s going on. ⭐️ So I begin to surrender to it. To meditate & journal. To sit with it quietly rather than fighting it. ⭐️ And slowly things begin to shift. The light begins to return and the veil lifts. ⭐️ And as it does, I’m clearer on who I am, less willing to take BS and hopefully more determined than ever (although I’m not quite there... this lergy hasn’t completely gone) ⭐️ And it makes me wonder... besides the obvious immune stuff etc, is this why we sometimes get sick too? ⭐️ I think for me it is. ⭐️ Foremost I think it’s the universes way of saying ‘honey, just fricken stop!’ Stop biting off more than you can chew. And since you seem reluctant to do that, guess what!? We’re taking control back and MAKING you stop! ⭐️ And while you’re at it... have a good think about what you’ve done while you’re there 😂 ⭐️ Oh life, it’s always interesting & entertaining isn’t it!? 💖🙏💖 Ps... I’ve actually not clicked ‘yes’ on the two courses/shining

A text book case study of what NOT to do. Valeant Pharmacuticals was a public company that took the world by storm. It seemed like they were geniuses and their CEO was a God. Here’s what the stock price looked like over time. [see image]. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Their strategy was simple: Acquire pharmaceutical companies, cut off the R&D department and roll them up into the “Valeant” investment vehicle. Why cut off the R&D department? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Pharmaceutical companies spend huge amounts of money on research and development to develop new and improved drugs. It’s a huge cost and most of it goes to waste, as most experiments fail. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Valeants “genius” idea was to eliminate R&D, thereby cutting costs, thereby increasing net profits and earnings, thereby delivering spectacular earnings reports to investors and looking like the best company ever. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The CEO purchased a $65m private jet, started sitting court-side at NBA games, eating steak dinners with celebrities, and all sorts of other shit that soon to fail CEO’s do before their collapse. The CEO looked like a God, the company was the darling of the stock market, so where did they go wrong? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ With TIME. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Time is the grim reaper mechanism that corrects markets and separates the value creators from the perception manipulators. What happened? Well... Think about it... What would happen if you eliminated R&D? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Within 3-4 years, Valeant’s competitors (who still had their R&D departments) came up with new and improved drugs. Consumers purchased their drugs and stopped purchasing Valeants. Valeant had no new and improved products, and very quickly, they failed. In a spectacular fashion. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Valeant is a text book case study of short term thinking and 2nd order consequences. In the short term, the won. In the long-term, they failed.
Doing some house cleaning, and came across my Taekwondo 4th dan certificate. It made me reflect on the journey that brought me here, starting in 1996 in year 10, then a few years off when I started uni, starting with WMAA around 2002, and another couple years break when I travelled and worked overseas. Other than those breaks, it's been over 20 years of dedicated and disciplined training and instructing, especially the past decade. . That's what creates true mastery. It's not talent or luck, it's hard work over a long period of time, and I've still got a long road ahead of me to achieve that. But each lesson and year that goes past, I take more steps towards it . Come join me and an awesome group of students in Ultimo - we start back Jan 8th 2019! I met Phillipa Hughes @realpippagrams through a mutual friend, and had a brief discussion during the opening of her art exhibit "A (Good) American" in October. We made a point to keep in touch, and figure out a time to have a real conversation. Today was that day, and it was more than I was hoping it would be. Phillipa is a lawyer by training, but her real passion is about connection. This gifting is on full display when she hosts BlueberriesAndCherries.com dinners. She capitalizes on the fractured political climate to bring together those that span the political spectrum, for dinner and conversation. The events started small at her home and now draw up to fifty people per meal, with full sponsorship from various organizations. The conversations may get a dash heated, but civility is a side dish of choice for dinner guests. Our conversation included our various projects, writing, and the origin story of @pinklineproject, a curated list of art activities in DC. We talked about racism, political divides, the influence media plays in stoking the emotional fires, and how each conversation we have with those in our sphere, can make a positive impact for good. I recounted a couple stories of fumbled attempts to bridge divides. We agreed that the road to healing the brokenness, will be filled with more failed attempts, and awkward stumbles, but it must be pursued, nonetheless. I am glad we caught up before Phillipa heads to Europe for Christmas. Before the return trip, she is going to set aside time for writing. Already proving herself as a valuable friend, she challenged me to answer the questions I post at CuratedQuestions.com to ensure I benefit from my own project. Phillipa, thank-you for the engaging conversation, your passion for bringing people together, your focus on action, and example of forcing yourself out of your comfort zone! I am grateful you have been part of my #yearofconnection! Join the #7daysofconnection Challenge! 1. Have a meaningful
MY STORY (pt. 1) • I had a very interesting conversation the other day with @jasontsg. We were talking about my journey as a strength and conditioning coach. It really made me think back to the very beginning - the less glamorous days. I figured I’d open up and share with all of you. Maybe this might shed some light to those who are following the same path or just starting up. • We already know about my fighting and lifting days, so I think we can fast forward through! Back in my day...just kidding lol but seriously! Up until around early 2015, I only programmed for myself and @rhondagramz. I thought of it only as a geeky hobby. I was, and still am, very obsessed with data. People noticed how Rhonda progressed within a few short years, asked if I was a coach. I personally didn’t even consider powerlifting/programming a “coach”. In TKD, we worked with the athletes in person. We held pads for them, fought them, pushed them! Programming was just putting a series of numbers on paper. I didn’t have anything to offer in person other than notice little things about their movements that were off. I told those individuals that I didn’t coach, but I could write them a program if they wanted to try my workouts. • If I read my programs from back then, I would have thought I was drunk while writing them lol!! But I guess that’s the progress of growing as individuals. Anyway, I never advertised (and still don’t) that I programmed and told people to DM me for inquires. Fun fact: I have NEVER asked anyone to DM me or contact me to inquire about coaching. Check out all my previous posts! Sorry, side tracked lol. I just caught the attention of the individuals around me, or who followed my personal strength journey on social media. I was always very open with my thoughts on what went well and what I need to do better. People seemed to gravitate towards that. • Few months later, I had roughly 7 or 8 people who were running my program. At this point, I decided

Resistance training isn’t all about the six packs and shred life. . It is about making sustainable and realistic changes, living pain free, building up confidence and the long term health benefits it has no matter what your age. My client came to me with no experience in weight training and hated the gym! . Fast forward to now, and she can’t imagine her life without it. She is so happy with the process and training, she couldn’t believe how ‘simple the process was’ compared to what she was lead to believe and had heard. . And nope- no fat burners, low calorie diets or laxatives were used. . Not only has she made amazing physical changes by dropping 9kgs on the scales, increased her lean muscle mass, got stronger, improved her posture and lost over 15cm in waist and hip measurements - she has also prevented bone degeneration. . This is something I can’t express enough to females! We actually need to lift weights to help prevent osteoporosis. (Bone degeneration) Especially is it runs in the family. . As we get older, when our lovely lady hormones drop, we are at a higher risk of bone degeneration and resistance training is a great way to prevent this! . Don’t think the gym and weights are just for those ‘big guys’ in front of the mirrors flexing with a nipple hanging out of their singlet. . Everyone can benefit from resistance training.
J'admire. . Cette niaque, ce dépassement de soi, tu l'as chevillé au coeur et au corps. Tu m'as transmis cette #teamnoexcuse attitude qui me porte chaque jour. . Forzaaa papito💪 . #lebootcamp#nevergiveup#warriordelavie#onestdeswarriors
