I hope the fire inside of her never dims from the worlds icey blows. She lights up every room she walks into, forces people to connect, yet loves her independent alone time as well. Vibrant, passionate, and expressive encompasses her. She's also tender-hearted, strong as an ox, and has a style all her own. God told me, "a little girl is waiting for you." I'm so thankful I said "yes" to one more. Happy Birthday Aria Noel! You make life so much more fun! I'm so thankful to be your mom. . #refineandrestore#birthdaygirl
Many of us have had wonderfully loving earthly fathers. But some of us? Maybe not so much. Still we all know our Everlasting Father has no comparison. Take a moment and think what the name Father...Daddy...Papa...Abba means to you this Christmas season. For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6
December 19, 2018 Ann Voskamp - "The Greatest Gift" Day #19 * Though the fig tree may not blossom... And the fields yield no food; And there be no herd in the stalls— Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The LORD God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer's feet, And He will make me walk on my high hills...” Habakkuk 2:1; 3:16-19 * In the barrenness of winter, Habakkuk offers this gift to always carry close: rejoicing in the Lord happens while we still struggle in the now. * Struggling and rejoicing are not two chronological steps, one following the other, but two concurrent movements, one fluid with the other. As the cold can move you deeper toward the fire, struggling can move you deeper toward God, who warms you with joy. Struggling can deepen joy. * Even though. Even now. * Even though fig trees have no blossoms and though the Christmas tree aches a bit empty, even though I fail -- even now I will rejoice in the Lord. * Even though, even now—Habakkuk turns the focus. The secret of joy is always a matter of focus: a resolute focusing on the Father, not on the fears. All fear is but the notion that God’s love ends. When does He ever end? When you can’t touch bottom is when you touch the depths of God. Hasn’t He already unequivocally earned trust? You can take your hands off your life—you don’t have to try to save yourself. Behold Him everywhere, and be held. * Count, recount gifts: re-joys, rejoice. Our worlds reel unless we rejoice. A song of thanks steadies everything. Behold the goodness of the God of your salvation everywhere, and be held—how His love falls like the blossoms of grace in December. * What are you waiting on God for right now?
It was a sad moment and the end of an era today as I used this bad boy for the last time...ever! 😢 . When I learned earlier this year that Chick-fil-A wouldn’t be bringing back their calendar cards I will admit that I was saddened. After all they’ve been a favorite for years. . I say we create a petition to bring them back! Anyone with me?! (Yes I’m only joking...kind of.) . May you rest in peace sweet calendar card. You’ve brought me lots of joy through the years!
Anna, 18, my sweet troublemaker, released her first song from a musical she has written! #hisstorythemusical It's amazing to think how far she has come! So to all you moms who have very difficult children, I hope this encourages you. Anna wrote the song and plays Mary! Anna was a "terror" according to her Sunday School teachers, and would innocently sabotage the efforts of every co-op teacher, VBS volunteer, and poor pastor's wives. We were actually asked to leave a couple churches because of her. Why? She thought church was boring and didn't like the lessons, so she would always try to put on plays or act out the story or take over the class by totally making craft time more creative. I was heart broken when year after year, I would get a "talking to" from anyone who had to have Anna in their class. But I really had faith that GOD created her with purpose! She needed to have the experience of being "deathly bored" by the churchish way the Bible is presented to the world... When Anna began to get serious about Jesus, she wanted to tell His Story in a way that her generation and the kids of today would be captivated... And listen! We realized now that a big reason Anna had so much trouble in class was because of Dyslexia. She couldn't read the lessons, so she wanted to experience them. I'm linking the full song on my Profile! #christianparents#christianmom#christianfamily#dyslexicgirl#focusonthefamily#kidschurch#childrenschurch#storyofjesus#badkids @hisstorythemusical
God doesn’t call the equipped. He equips the called. ✖️Timing may never be perfect✖️Circumstances may not be in your favor. But did you ever think you were given a purpose to show others it can be done? The calling on your heart was not a mistake... seriously, don’t ignore it! ❤️ My passion for fitness and healthier living literally made my heart ache because I knew it was supposed to serve a BIGGER purpose in my life! It was when HE equipped me with belief and life as a mom that it all became clear and my spirit was meant to lock arms with those like me... and just have FUN while fulfilling dreams! “The struggle is real” is possibly my favourite modern catchphrase. Because, let’s be honest, it just is. Whether it’s raising kids, trying to keep a ‘balanced’ life, eating healthy, paying bills, or any other aspect of 21st Century, first world living, it often feels like a struggle.⠀ ⠀ Why is that? Why, when we literally have it easier than any generation or people group before us, does it seem to be such a struggle?⠀ ⠀ “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” Ephesians 6:12⠀ ⠀ The struggle IS real.⠀ ⠀ But—we don’t have to walk around ill-equipped. Just as it would be foolish to walk into a physical battle without armor, we are doing ourselves a disservice when we don’t daily put on God’s armor. I love the way The Passion Translation describes it.⠀ ⠀ “Put on truth as a belt to strengthen you to stand in triumph. Put on holiness as the protective armor that covers your heart. Stand on your feet alert, then you’ll always be ready to share the blessings of peace. In every battle, take faith as your wrap-around shield, for it is able to extinguish the blazing arrows coming at you from the Evil One! Embrace the power of salvation’s full deliverance, like a helmet to protect your thoughts from lies. And take the mighty razor-sharp Spirit-sword of the spoken Word of God. Pray passionately in the Spirit, as you constantly intercede with every form of prayer at all times. Pray the blessings of God upon all his believers.” Ephesians 6:14-18 TPT⠀ ⠀ Suit up my friends, the struggle may be real, but the battle has been won!⠀ ⠀ Jaclyn Weidner, @jaclyn.weidner⠀ ___⠀ ⠀ 🌿Have you ordered your copy of the premier issue of The Joyful Life Magazine yet? | NOW SHIPPING! | Find the LINK IN OUR BIO!⠀ ___
Lately I’ve been taking time to just focus on myself and my relationship with God. . Rocky at best most of the time, I knew I needed to make a change. Everything was just going SO fast and I didn’t stop or put Him first. . These past couple weeks have been incredible, deepening and enlightening. . I am happier and much more at peace than I have been in so long! Tonight, I asked God to lead me to a passage He felt I needed to hear..so when I came to a chapter that was about a shipwreck, I was beyond confused but I read it anyways. . Guys, I’m going to be honest. I’ve read the New Testament a few times and NEVER do I remember anything about a shipwreck. This story felt all too new to me...I think this has more to do with the NIV being much easier to understand than the NKJV for me. . I literally came to bed but kept pondering the story and in the quiet moments, this is exactly what I heard. God told me He will always care for me and have my back...even when I’m being pigheaded and don’t listen at first! . How crazy amazing is that?! . . . . . . . . . . . . . #niv#christianmom#godisgood#reading#newtestament#message#behappy#trust#faith#god#christian#believer#contentment#safe#loved
Tomorrow is MOVING DAY!! Yes I realize this pile behind me looks like a bunch of junk. • There’s method to the madness though...well at least a little bit 😂😂 • Less than 48 hours and there should be no delay in closing again 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 • • • •
I'm having a hard time doing all my to-dos this week and living in the moment while thinking about Christmas coming and 2019 too. Who's excited for the new year (even if talking about the new year before Christmas is a faux-pas 😁)???
I'm thankful for another Year to be ALIVE. To be here, to be breathing. The last year has had LOTS of ups and downs. Reflecting back I am glad 26 is behind me today. God is sure good through it all. This last year has taught me so much about how He is Faithful. I have learned so much about myself through HIM and HIS eyes. Slowly stepping more in to my authority and calling. I'm excited to be a blessing in others lives and continue to grow myself. 😊 So much more to come in this next year! I love using my birthday as a time to look back, reflect forward, set goals, bucket lists wants for the next 365 days. 💞 Here's to 27 🥂🎁🎈 #heresto27#birthdaygirl👑 #christianmom#jesusfreak#boymomof2
God is STILL restoring marriages TODAY! What an amazing testimony! #stayfocused ___ #replanoly @lysaterkeurst . On an unusually sunny Tuesday in December, we dressed up a bit and whispered healing words, heartfelt promises, and holy vows. A million prayers. A miracle answer. A marriage restored. . Thank you @brianschindler @hannaheschindler for capturing these moments. . And @madivincent for draping blooms of grace and beauty all around our day.
Last night I lost my mind… Why does this happen to us? Oh.. I know! Because we don’t have one millisecond without a miniature tyrant asking for something, a million times, on our face… I was saved by the arrival of my husband and about 30 minutes of alone time sitting in my bedroom, I decided to learn with the situation, and defined steps to remove myself from chaos when it arises. Let’s face it, SAHMs are chaos coordinators, 24/7. We need to develop the ability to remove ourselves from the situation, so we can coordinate the chaos in a way that show our values, because every day we shape the way our kids deal with life. Here is some of the things I got: 1. Make sure we have a “break” everyday. They need their nap time / quiet time, and we need it as well. I find the days my kids have (even) 30 minutes of quiet time, in their room, my day goes a whole lot better. Just having a little time to think something thru, without a million interruptions makes my brain function like a champ. Also, the kids feel better and act better once they are rested. If nap time is passed, quiet time or time out works good too. First, children need discipline. Second, it gives us at least couple minutes to calm down. 2. If possible, read some scripture. I know sometimes we cannot stop chaos, grab a bible and let the world blow up. But when we can, this is the very best thing we can do to calm down and take actions to correct or discipline according to our values. 3. Pray! If #2 is not possible, at least pray! If kids are screaming, just pray out load. I have a bible verse I like to shout when I’m on the go and my kids are stressing me out: “A calm mind is a healthy body”. Sometimes I shout it when I’m buckling them in the car seat in a public parking, or in the grocery store isle. Who cares. I feel better and they usually calm down, because they see I’m removing myself from the chaos. We need to stay strong mommas, loving God and loving our people.
Every picture I took, the boys were moving too fast. Liam asked for “mint” on the way home from his fitness class and I knew he meant my friend, Christy’s, Holiday Bark. . It’s nearly gone and we got it Saturday.🤭 . Christy’s @tinylittlechef spices are amazing and I just love supporting another female biz owner. If you want to try the tasty goodness, use code “KELLI” for some savings. 💓🎅🏻
One year ago I decided enough was enough and began my search for a plan to get my health back on track. The independent, introvert that I am, I was determined to go it alone... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But no matter how shy on the inside, how introverted I am, we need something called accountability. We need friendship. We need community. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So 7 1/2 months ago, I checked out my first virtual health/fitness community. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I started working out from home led by professional trainers, that would not only help lose unwanted pounds, but also help define my muscles while following a coordinating nutrition plan for optimal health. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I started drinking a superfood shake made of dehydrated veggies, fruits, pre/probiotics, herbs for health and stamina, and soy free veggetable based proteins that gave me more than my multivitamin ever could. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ And I decided that no matter what, I was going to show up, and get it done. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ There have been days my daily routine has been topsy turvy. There have been days I didn’t feel like it. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But I did it anyway... and 7 1/2 months later, I’m in the best shape I’ve ever been... and I’m not done yet. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Good intentions are just that... good intentions. It takes hard work to make results happen, but it takes community, and accountability to stay faithful to the process. I am SO thankful I said yes to my health/fitness community this year!!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Our enrollment doors are closing for our first program of 2019 on 1/7!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You don’t have to figure it out alone! Let’s crush those goals together!!! 💪🏼 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🍍🍍🍍🍍🍍🍍🍍🍍🍍🍍 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

I feel the baby bulk, lifting 40lb dumbbells.😆And yesterday I was legit lifting heavier than the guys 🤣 I love a challenge 🙌🏼🙌🏼I felt strong last summer and I feel strong today! Both in different seasons and I'm okay with that. 😌 . I'm so thankful for these at-home workouts that are still kickin my butt whether it was last summer or today!🙌🏼 . Shout-out to the ladies in my Merry Fitmas group who are showing up and putting in the work everyday! That consistency is so KEY!! But YOU showing up is what matters. No one else is going to do the work for you, that's what makes this whole thing worth while, because only YOU can do it! BUT with accountability and support it makes it that much easier! 👊🏻 . It's so much easier to embrace this journey when you love yourself and what it's going through. No matter what season you are in, love yourself for who you are, who's you are and who you will become. ❤️

Starting my Tuesday the week before Christmas with a feverish toddler and a full work schedule led me to a not so graceful mental place of frantically trying to find a sweet soul to keep my little one (shout out to my angel of a mother-in-love who is doing just that 🙏🏻). It all worked out, but I found myself thinking about how I can CHOOSE to remember today. I can remember today as a day that I struggled to get through. OR—I can remember today as a day where God’s grace once again was with this mama 💙. . . . . . #momlife#workingmom#christianmom#boymom#tuesdaymotivation#thestruggle
And if you change it up on me when I’ve already been thinking about it all day, it’s going to get emotional 😂 like “hey wanna go out for burgers and fries?” When you’ve been thinking about tacos all day = 😫 anyone else feel me on this one?
Prayer can be simple and unplanned. Written and recited. Conversational or wordless. .... .. Last night, I attended our parish penance service and reflected on my conscience since my last trip to the confessional in November. Today I started the morning at mass, alone, no children in tow, and some quiet time in the pew afterwards. There have been quiet moments (or, more like quiet seconds in a house full of young kids) throughout the afternoon and my evening will end with the Christmas novena. .... .. In the past 24 hours, I’ve praised God, thanked God, adored God. I’ve apologized to Him and admitted my nothingness outside of His Glory. I’ve said nothing and I’ve said lots. But there is one constant and that is, the prayer is becoming constant. The conversation is there, with words and without. I’ve dedicated time each day for the past seven months to prayer, and that is what has changed the most. The conversations happening in my mind are no longer one-sided anxieties and plans occupying my thoughts, but an ongoing conversation spanning requests for help to feelings of great joy and peace. .... .. It certainly didn’t happen right away, and this prayer time I’ve made for myself...it isn’t what I thought it would become. I’m not sure what I expected, but this isn’t it. It’s better. .... .. #catholic#catholics#catholicism#catholicchurch @catholicconnect #bissisterhood#christian#thecatholicmama#faith#prayer#catholicwoman#catholicwomen#christianmom#prayerlife#godisgreat#godislove#jesusislove#catholiclife#dailymass#pray#christianblogger#faithingod#holyspirit#motherofgod

I was talking to a lady today amd asked of there was anything she wanted me to pray with her about. She listed 2 family things rhen she paused and aakee me to pray for the world. . 🌍 . When she said world, she sounded so sad. So we prayed and I said what @cindytrimm has mentioned in her picture. . 🕯 . Day in and day out, I encounter and encourage people here in the U.S. and abroad. They are looking for a glimmer of hope, love, literally any sign of positivity. As a global community, we are hurting. Every community is suffering from a fear factor. Fear can make things dark...but it's only in darkness that light can make a difference. . 🌟 . I am full of faith, joy, courage, funny stories and getting better everyday at praying for strangers. I have a lot to share. So do you! 🌍 . So I want to challenge you (again) to pour into random people. This is a miserable time dor so many. A stressful time for many. You can be a aweet memory for them. Please try! #besweet#bekind#blogger#tistheseason#prayer#christianjourney#randomactsofkindness#wearefamily#christianwife#christianmom#liveonpurpose#choosejoy
A little cuddling because we are sad we can’t find her brother Tonto. 😔😭 Big pitfalls of living in the country! . . It’s so stupid how much I love all my cats. 😠Now I’m angry that he hadn’t come home! It’s totally not normal for him to be gone for a night and day! The first place they go to in the morning is our mudroom door. I haven’t seen our white cat around for a few days either. 😒 (“she” just happened to show up one day and has stuck around) I guess that’s what I get for naming “her”.
Go check out episode # 32 to listen to the story of the angel visiting Mary. Perfect for Christmas 😁🎄see our other Christmas episodes too: #83,82,34,36 Merry Christmas everyone and thank you for listening ❤️LINK in PROFILE
This is too funny not to share. ⭐️ Make sure to watch with the sound on. My favorite part is Ian saying “I’m done” when trying to do push-ups 😆 It was my bright spot in my day, even though working out was not what I was “feeling” like doing. Just before this workout I got word that it was going to cost $500 to fix my car. 😩 Talk about inconvenient with being the week before Christmas. But.. even though I would rather that $500 go to something else — I gotta be grateful that we actually have the money. There are some perks to deployments.. although I would gladly take my husband home for Christmas than the extra money but it’s times like these that it’s nice to have. What I really had to remind myself though — this week I will have my biggest paycheck in one of the hardest times of the year. I almost feel like this $500 bill was sent as a reminder to be grateful for the extra money.. it’s Christmas and we don’t have to stress about it! 🙌🏼 This is the freedom that this opportunity has given us, and id love to pay forward. It truly feels like the best job in the world to be able to work at home (or anywhere!), be encouraged to be the healthiest version of me physically, mentally, and spiritually.. and I get paid to share that with others. And that right there is the best part... to see other people’s lives change!! 🥰
It sometimes seems nearly impossible to escape the chaos of the holiday season. 🎄 If I’m being completely honest I've been so focused on the "todo” list that I haven’t really taken the time to unplug with my boys. 👬 So today as my boys are home recovering from a cold I'm looking at it as a blessing. 🎅 A time to unplug from the craziness and rest up. That way we can go into the final week ready to have some family fun! 🎉 Are you like me, do you need to recharge every now and again?
