Can’t believe it’s over a week since our busy moving day! This was us with the van all packed up before leaving 🙈 Where has the week gone?! Loved our few years in Reading - we’ve met life friends that we will keep making happy memories with ..... 💕 🙏🏻 Now onto our next chapter of life in the Cotswolds 🏡 🗝 🍾 #newhome#chippingnorton#explore#weekend
Classic Avalanche Rose buttonholes, here with blue eryngium and eucalyptus cineria 🌿 These were worn today by a wonderful family to the funeral of a much loved father, grandfather and great grandfather 🌿 with touching symbolism, the white roses signify the home county of Yorkshire, the blue thistle to represent a career in the Police Force🌿 . #oxfordshire#yorkshire#tribute#floraltribute#buttonhole
Unsure who to vote for this Election Day? Keep calm and eat a cupcake! 😋🧁 Head over to our pop up market stall at United Growers Farmers Market in Chipping Norton: 8-12pm this Saturday, because life is much batter with cake 🤭
Very pleased to say that @grow_and_gather keeps coming back for more. Nerys was one of our original stall holders last spring and it’s reassuring that she still wants to make the trip to be with us again. I don’t think however that she has brought her exquisite wire sculptures before, aren’t they wonderful? I’ve featured the floral ones first, keep swiping, because they might make you want to rethink your Mother’s Day bouquet? I’m sure they will feature alongside her other vintage goodies, always very beautifully displayed. All this gorgeousness and more on Sat 30th March in Chipping Norton Town Hall from 10am. #wiresculpture#wireart#cotswoldsvintagefair#growandgather#reclaimed#reclaimedhomefair#reclaimedhome#chippingnorton#vintagefair#sat30march2019#excited
Random touring of the Cotswolds: part 639! I’ve been doing a lot of this recently. The good news is, that I am off to #liverpool on Saturday. Might not get further than Anfield but still, I will be stepping back into that city of my birth. Will I #ferryacrossthemersey or will my gob be bigger than the Mersey tunnel? Penny Lane? Or the Pier Head? I have some vague memory of going up that revolving tower restaurant as a child? Was it Telecom Tower? That and some giant jam jars. And King Kenny scoring me a goal in the 88th minute, aged 3! Why my Dad brought a 3 year old to the footie, who only knows!! And Freds Weather Map went down in a dirgeful flood. The memories! Can’t wait. Anyway, apologies for the tangent. Please find the fabulous @jaffe_and_neale in #chippingnorton. A well stocked bookshop is a wonderful thing and this one came with the added bonus of alerting me to an upcoming #bookfestival in April. It even has @michelle.paver there! I am all over that. I paired this with a fabulous little #mystery that winged it’s way to me via @harpercollinsuk. I’m looking forward to reading this one in my Easter break. It’s set on the streets of Savannah- a place I am down with post #midnightinthegardenofgoodandevil. Murdered Law Students. Tautly written. A thin line between love and murder? I’m in. What books are associated with Liverpool? For bookstagramming purposes. #bookstagram#bookshops#bookworm#booknerd#booksinthewild#bibliophile#booktastic#bookaholic#booktography
It’s Wednesday, so it’s Knit day! At 15:00 @purlyqueen and I meet in @therusticbean in Parsons Street. She is knitting baby blankets for the premature baby unit at the John Radcliffe hospital. I’m knitting for grandchildren. Banbury knitters and crocheters are welcome to come and join us! Then I go to Knit night at @thefibreworks in Chipping Norton where the conversation covers a wide range of topics while we knit or crochet. I love this local knitting community! #knitnight#knittingcommunity#thefibreworks#chippingnorton#banbury#rusticbean#babyknitting#wednesdayknitting

Meet corporal Pearson and his wife. Corporal Pearson served as an airman over 65 years ago on this site @hoof.antiques_brocante . He met his wife here and used to walk her back to camber in all weathers. Pinching the odd cabbage off the airbase for her families dinner. Then walk back to the base. At 88 corporal Pearson watched @salvage_hunters with @drewpritchardantiques and needed to come and find the base and re live an hour back in time. Yes there were tears. His stories are beautiful and he thinks given the chance he could still work the radar. One of three that kept this country safe.. and I don’t doubt he could. His wife is the love of his life. He kept telling me how beautiful she is. He didn’t need to tell me!! A bit confused and unsteady but she simply adores him and him her!!! This has made my day. Thank you corporal Pearson for your service. @tara.franklin_antiques xxx #chippingnorton
