People think a soul mate is your perfect fit, and that’s what everyone wants. But a true soulmate is a mirror, the person who shows you everything that is holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life. #zeusvibes#chicagophotographer#chicagomodel#yellow#stripes
Exciting announcement! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ After many requests I'm *officially* offering photo books + heirloom wedding albums! I've researched tons of companies and decided to parter with @redtreealbums! I believe their printing + high end binding quality outweighs all the rest. ---- ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I'm really picky with the products I offer so know these are truly awesome. The best part? They're handmade right here in the Midwest and offer a lifetime guarantee. They're truly something I feel great about offering my clients! I have everything from leather and linen wedding albums, reception guest sign in books to softcover books for portraits (perfect for your fam session memories or boudoir gifts!). These are available to past and present clients! ---- ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Shoot me a message if you'd like details! ❤️
MAN O MAN, am I feeling grounded rn! We lowkey announced our next @bloggercollabday event last night on our BCD feed, BCD FIT, and we already only have TWO SPACES LEFT LIKE WHAAAAAAT! Guys, this is amazing. @terressanicole and I started this event to simply get ladies together to meet in real life and make actual connections. It doesn’t matter what kind of blog you have, if it’s even live yet, or is simply a future idea, ALL are welcome. One of my favorite parts of the event is it’s genuine diversity and it’s only expanding. Can someone pinch me, please? Want one of our last two spaces to have your name on it? Deets: We’ll be shooting the morning of Saturday, January 12 and being BCD FIT, our theme is New Year, New Ideas! Well be brunching with our host, @goddessbaker and then heading over to sweat it out at @cyclebarbrookfield . More exciting news to come! Send me a DM to reserve one of our final spaces!
Located at the juncture between the Calumet River and Lake Michigan, the South Works first opened in the early 1880s. By this time, the surrounding area had already attracted industrial development because of its location near the river, lake, and substantial railroad service that provided excellent opportunities to transport materials and goods. Swedish, Scottish, and German immigrants had settled in the area, and the growing steel industry attracted even larger numbers of residents to the South Chicago area. In 1901, the US Steel Corporation acquired South Works. At the time, well-paying jobs at the industrial complex attracted Italians, Poles, Mexicans, and African-Americans to make the area their home. At its peak, South Works had more than 20,000 employees. It covered an area of 600 acres, much of which was composed of landfill made of molten slag. After South Works began downsizing in the 1970s, the mill closed down in 1992.
Slightly out of focus film shots are my new fav. ✨ They feel so nostalgic. And I’m feeling nostalgic because my baby girl is now a toddler. 😭 The days are long but the years are short, am I right? 💗| #brittjensenphotography#familiesonfilm#portra400
Show Up For Yourself. This week seems to have a common theme for me. How can I better show up for myself? There is so much power in this, because no one in the world can do this for you, but you. Everyday we make choices. So often our choices revolve around meeting the needs of others, fulfilling obligations, and tending to what is expected of us, from others. We’ve been conditioned over time to think if we take care of ourselves, or treat ourselves, we are selfish. This is simply, not true. Show up for yourself by making choices that honor YOUR needs as they arise. Yesterday, I was in @bret_gornik class and something powerful he said was “this next minute of class is going to be the hardest. Show up for yourself right here, right now.” Wow. Today, as you go throughout your mundane Wednesday routine, remember I can’t do something for you, or your mom, your dad, your best friend, coach, or spouse. YOU have to show up for YOU. Commit to yourself. Spend the next 5 minutes thinking about how you can better show up for you then you did yesterday. There is so much power in that. How are you going to show up for yourself today? ✨ 📸: @richtorikwan
This evening is my last wedding of 2018! In 2017 I created a few goals, ones that followed the theme of “aim high”. Little did I know that I would accomplish those goals and more. I always joke that I don’t have a normal job (whatever that really means), not sure I would handle a 9-5p position (doesn’t allow for naps!). Past and future clients, I’ll be forever grateful because of your support! Because of you I can actually say that I love what I do, even when tax season comes around 😉 #cheersto2018#caitrosewedding#thankful
How a 2 year old and a Goldendoodle watch tv together. 🧒🏼 🐑 I didn’t have my phone on me when I looked over and saw them, so I slowly and quietly went to get my big camera and just prayed they wouldn’t move 🙌🏼 #martinneedsahashtag
