BREAKING: NFL Insider Ian Rapoport has confirmed that the #chicagobears will release veteran TE #dionsims, which will save them roughly 6 million dollars in cap space. This transaction has been expected for months now as Sims has failed to make any impact as a blocker or pass catcher since signing a hefty contract back in 2017, and his dead cap will be much more useful for the Bears in signing/re-signing other players who will actually have roles on the team. Expect the #bears to seek out new TE's to add this offseason as only Adam Shaheen and Trey Burton are currently under contract at the position. Creds: @chicago_bears_news_
Thank the Lord. 6 million in extra cap space. Also, he was one of my least favorite players on the Bears this year, he just wasn’t good. 🐻⬇️ - - - - - #chicagobears#chicagobearsnation#chicagobearsfootball#chicagobearsfan#chicagobearsfans#chicagobearsgame#dabears#beardown#beardown🐻#🐻⬇️#mitchtrubisky#mitchelltrubisky#khalilmack#mackattack#soldierfield#nfcnorth#nfcnorthchamps#akiemhicks#eddiejackson#kylefuller#jordanhoward#tarikcohen#monstersofthemidway#clubdub#bearsuniverse #dionsims#simssucks#nicejobpace
#repost @bearsempire (@get_repost) ・・・ The Running Back Situation: Ok let's get one thing straight. WE DON'T NEED ANOTHER RUNNING BACK. Just because Jordan Howard didn't reach 1,000 yards this season means we have to panic and go after another running back like Duke Johnson or Tevin Coleman no. Jordan Howard is a damn good running back and Cohen is going to continue to develop. Jordan has a total of 3,370 rushing yards since his rookie year in 2016. Thats insane number and he is only 24 years old. We do not need to move him and yes if we got Hunt I would be all for making a move but now hell no. Cohen is a great receiving back and will continue to grow as a runner. We need to spend our money on a position we actually need like a saftey. We have one of if not the most talented running back duo in the NFL, there is no need to change that. THIS IS EASILY THE BEST 1-2 PUNCH IN THE LEAGUE.
