I had never been much of a reader. I always kind of left that up to my sister, and when a book landed in my hands I'd flip quickly to find the pictures, and then assume what the story was based on those. But as you grow up books have less and less pictures and that left me unimpressed. I'm grateful that after years of forcing myself to read and after getting my brain reintegrated, I've found myself enjoying to read. I've read 3 books this year already (which maybe unimpressive to some but that's more books than I've read in the last 3 years) and I've challenged myself to pick up (with my sisters permission) the Lord of the Rings trilogy, which my sister has with really silky pages and pretty pictures which still make the experience more enjoyable. #lotr#lordoftherings#reading#settinggoals#newthings#challengeyourself#excited#pretty#illustration#thehobbit#jrrtolkien

⏱ Every 15 minutes they would shoot out another heat of runners. So many people from all walks of life; with their own story; here to prove something to themselves. Throughout this course there was nothing but beautiful strangers encouraging each other and empowering each other to battle through it! People moving over to let you by, people reaching out to help you up, people saying “wow, great job” and others saying “here I got you.” Nothing like this experience! There is something about coming together laughing, sweating, powering through a tough course alongside strangers who are all there challenging themselves TO • BE • MORE. I’m obsessed. These strangers are my people. Lol!!!
Fear is a real threat to our growth and ability to learn and become a stronger and better version of ourselves. There’s many reasons to be fearful: of change, of the unknown, of consequences. Getting my legs done. Still working on make that left leg realize it’s got put in the work too. Right now I am pressing anywhere between 100-150 with both or my right but only able to press 50 with my left. I tried to do 100 just on the left it wasn’t having it. 🥵 It’s a work in progress but it’s getting there. 🤗#keeppushing

When it comes to machines I don’t really do a certain amount of reps. I will go until I feel the burn and the I change it up and add more weight. I do make sure I do 3 sets of everything though. #gettingvegasready

Oooh, you guys, I am so excited today! I’ve been sitting with my planner, looking forward to the next month (hello April!) and wanted to celebrate with you! Few of you know that I started this business during a difficult time. After deliberating in 2018, I moved cross-country to spend time with my dad during his cancer battle. It’s already been over 15 months of hard days, booster shots, going bald (twice!), quarantine weeks, and two hospitalizations. But yesterday, Dad switched to immunotherapy. We are all looking forward to a spring and summer of visitors, mornings in the garden, and evenings in the forest. . . 🌲🌳🌲🌳🌲 . . As far as April goal-setting goes, I pick ONE new business and ONE new personal goal to work on a month. That’s it. For me, it’s manageable and gives me a whole month to integrate it as a habit. So far this year, I’ve revamped the website, dialed in Instagram, scheduled presentations at local schools, made lifting weights and 10K training a habit - and became a Certified Usui Reiki Master in honor of a late and much loved friend.🌺🐯 . For April? Blogs for the website & yoga daily. Simple. Easy. Anyone want to chime in on their April goals?
