How often do you discount your inner wisdom? Do you allow the noise from the outside world to overshadow the guidance and truth living within you? We are all influenced by life happening around us. It is natural to check in and see where we fit in with the rest of the world. The problem arises, when we forget we have an inner guide we can trust to steer us in a direction most aligned with who we are. The problem grows into a giant monster, when we turn our back on that wise voice and allow our ego to become the driving force of our lives. This is where true suffering is born. There is no need to get ahead of ourselves and panic or fear our ego. We can always come back to the sacred place within us to get grounded and hear the gentle whisper of our truth. If we are out of practice, it may take a bit of time to figure out which voice is our ego and which one is our truth center. But it won’t take long, our truth is the voice that will feel right. This voice is calming and non-judgmental. She will remind you all is well and to look around for the evidence to prove why this is so. She will drop gentle hints and nudges to go in a particular direction, or to reach out to a certain person. This voice is your intuition and she is powerful and humble. She is often overshadowed by the booming voice of the ego. But she understands the ego has a place and will add to the human journey you are on. She will never leave you, even if you lead long stretches of life from your ego. When you make your way back, she will dust you off and offer you the inner wisdom and guidance you had been tirelessly searching outside to find. She will always be there. Valentines is not just for lovers but we can still express our love to our parents, siblings, anyone that is dearly hold closely to our heart. There is one person that has been with ups and downs, thru sickness and health, from fatty bump bump till who I am today, I want to celebrate the gift of God that has honor me to take care. - MY BODY.... 😂😅 God expects me to take care of my body. I am not the owner of my body, but I am the caretaker, or manager, of it. Treat it with love and respect. Being comfortable in your own skin is the spirit of rock and roll and, really, the spirit of cool. I can't honestly remember the last time I posted about my #yogalife. I'm pretty sure it's been a few years! Today, I felt the urge to start talking about it again and not just doing it. I recently in November received my #yogacertification to teach, something I have wanted for a long time. The funny thing is since I have gotten it, I haven't taught one class. Ever since I have finished my yoga teacher training in Rishikesh India I’ve been finding my way in this yoga community. which means teaching group and private classes, trying out different yoga studios here in Barcelona for my own group practice, finding yoga influencers on instagram and youtube. Listening to podcasts ranging from Ram Dass to Yoga Girl, reading blogs of the big well known websites but also of the smaller websites, reading books on the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, commentaries on the Bhagavad Gita and books on the anatomy of yoga. Basically opening my mind and heart for all things yoga. I must say this process has been hard for me. And i’m figuring out how I can stay positive, trusting and confident, that I will find my way and keep my heart open and vulnerable. So I will be able to grow and find my way. We got it done! I have spent the last four months with these lovley ladies as we all worked toward our 200 hour yoga teacher certifiction. It's been such a ride. I have learned so much. The 200 hours felt like 5. It was hard work but I would do it all again tomorrow. I am beyond blessed to have had this opportunity.
