Our Bible Studies resume this Friday, and we would love for you to join us in looking at a very unusual passage in which Jesus speaks highly of a questionable character who acts in self-interest. Why would He do that? 🤔⁉️ . . The Kuper Center is the ministry house located between the gym and the school at St. Cecilia Church. Refreshments will be served. Newcomers always welcome!
Ever considered getting a tattoo or have one and not sure what the Church says about tattoos? The Church does not oppose tattoos as long as they are not immoral, satanic or offensive. Ever since the 6th or 7th centuries, Christian pilgrims have been getting tattoos. The Razzouk family has been giving pilgrims to Jerusalem tattoos for over 700 years. Many cultures use tattoos as a right of passage. With that said, one should be prudent in their decision to have a tattoo. Our bodies are sacred. Our bodies are not a canvas to do as we wish. The culture falsely states that, “It’s my body, I can do what I want with it.” How many abortions have been justified with this statement? Our bodies are “Temples of the Holy Spirit.” Why does one want a tattoo? If is vanity or pride, then the reason is invalid. Will it cause scandal or offend one’s family, then, the reason is not valid. This decision must be made with serious thought and research. It highly suggested that no names of girlfriend or boyfriend. It is suggested that one wait a few months before preceding. Research the artist and make sure the artist is sanitary. Get a few references for the artist. How will it look in 20, 30+ years? The tattoos can communicate a beautiful and religious message. Everyone has a story and reason for their ink. One may be surprised by the stories behind the tattoos. One may be surprised by who has a tattoo. Mine is a celtic cross design on my shoulder. It signifies my Celtic heritage and the design reminds me that the world cannot survive without the blood of Christ and how His blood renews us. The picture is another tattoo I have been considering. We will see how my prayers lead me. Those who oppose tattoos will use Lev 19:28. This passage was to keep the people from following pagan worship. If they quote Leviticus, why aren’t they following the other Mosaic laws such as of not eating unclean meat? There will not be an agreement on the use of
Our last sunset here. Ten dolphins swam by with one jumping up out of the water like it was dancing the whole way. And then on the way out someone left a perfect sanddollar on the stairs. I had been hoping to find one all month and there it appeared out of nowhere. It all felt like one giant gift of love from God. ❤️

I recently read somewhere "you become who your friends are". This couldn't be anymore true! . I went through a time where my friends weren't the most Christian of people and it lead me to do some stupid things and hurt people. I became a person who I now wouldn't want to be around. . After some arguments I was no longer friends with those people as I decided to grow in my faith because I couldn't handle myself anymore. I decided to let God take control of everything. This happened at the end of 2017. . All of 2018 was building new friendships and some got even stronger. . Now, I have some of the most amazing people in my life who I love very much. Especially these two ladies! . These two beautiful ladies have helped me grow so much in my faith and show me without doing anything, how to be a better man! . #frieandships#love#catholic#seek2019

. Marilah berdoa: Ya Allah, Engkau telah menggembirakan dunia dengan kebangkitan PutraMu, Tuhan kami Yesus Kristus. Kami mohon, perkenankanlah kami bersukacita dalam kehidupan kekal bersama bundaNya, Perawan Maria. Demi Kristus, pengantara kami. Amin. . Credit: @imma_culatta @instakatolik
#repost from @Catholic Creative by @swiftsave_app ••• Renungan Harian KatolikVidGram Jumat, 18 Januari 2019 . . #god#catholic 🌿⚡️🕊
Judgment Day is Coming and one day you’re gonna stand before a living and holy God so #repent of your sins and obey the Gospel of Jesus Christ tomorrow might be too late. Read Revelation 20:11-15 it talks about The Judgment, Book of Life and Lake of Fire.
Leissez les bon temps rouler!! ⚜⚜⚜ Made this dream today. Not too shabby for my first one, eh? 💜💚💛 Charlie pulled the baby at Bible Study tonight, so I have to make another one next week. 💜💚💛 Changes to make: more cinnamon sugar filling! Less icing. Maybe add orange zest? And half the batch. This thing was monstrous!💜💚💛
The Transfiguration of Jesus Mt 17:1-8 also mentioned in Mark 9:2-8,Luke 9:28-36, 2Peter 1:16-18. This incident testifies to the fact that unlike Elijah and Moses who were prophets,Jesus is not.He is God himself. The transfiguration is an important declaration for the church and for the world. My parish church is named after this,it is called the Church of the Transfiguration. Mark 9:2-8 Six days later,Jesus took with him Peter and James and John, and led them up a high mountain apart,by themselves. And he was transfigured before them and his clothes became dazzling white such as no one on earth could bleach them. And there appeared to them Elijah with Moses who were talking with Jesus. Then Peter said to Jesus-Rabbi it is good for us to be here, let us make three dwellings, one for you,one for Elijah and one for Moses. Then a cloud overshadowed them and from the cloud there came a voice-This is my Son,the Beloved, listen to him! Suddenly when they looked around they saw no one with them anymore but only Jesus. As they were coming down the mountain,Jesus ordered them to tell no one about what they had seen until after the Son of Man had risen from the dead. The transfiguration of Jesus Christ was a visible sign in the presence of reliable witnesses of the reality of the power of God and the glory which is Christ Jesus. Therefore the transfiguration was a unique display of the divine character and a glimpse of the glory which Jesus had before he came to Earth. But Jesus himself took upon the form of a servant and was made in the likeness of man.And being found in the fashion of a man,He humbled himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Phil 2:5-11 That at the name of Jesus, every knee should bow,of things in heaven, things in earth, and things under the earth. And every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.
