Thanks for these Great Diagrams! #repost @carnivore.minimalist • • • • • #newblogpost Eating a primarily animal-based diet I have noticed an odd and pervasive belief in society: that meat is not high in nutrients, or even that meat does not HAVE nutrients. These graphs show that in reality, animal prodcuts out-rank commonly recognized plant "superfoods" in micro-nutrient and mineral content almost across the board. Keep scrolling to the graphs that compare these plant foods to the real animal-product superfood- liver! ➡️➡️FULL BLOG POST LINK HERE ➡️➡️https://www.minimalisteating.com/blog/nutrient-content-of-animal-foods-vs-plant-superfoods Furthermore, this data does not take into account the inhibited absorption of micro-nutrients and minerals due to plant-based anti-nutrients . The actual bio-availability of micro-nutrients and minerals in the plant “superfoods” compared here is likely actually considerably less than for beef or beef liver. As shown in the graphs, several micronutrients and minerals are lower in beef and beef liver than in the plant “superfoods” compared, but these levels do not pose risks of deficiency. They do, however, point to the benefit of a “nose-to-tail” approach to a carnivore diet. Vitamin C is used by the body to metabolize carbohydrates, so a diet low in carbohydrates requires a significantly lower dietary intake (2019). It can be concluded that like Vitamin C, higher levels of dietary calcium are required on a high-carbohydrate diet. The body uses the alkaline mineral calcium to lower the acidity of the blood to keep it within a narrow, healthy range. Glucose raises the acidity of the blood, necessitating the body’s increased use of calcium (HealthLine). Vitamin K deficiency is very rare (Office of Dietary Supplements). Five ounces of beef (less than two American Heart Association servings) provides the Recommended Daily Allowance of Vitamin K for adult men. #carnivore#carnivorediet
I went to acupuncture this morning & the guy I had was amazing. Afterwards I felt so relaxed & looser & not sure. With silversmithing your body goes through a lot. Then I got some new stones delivered as well. Spent part of my afternoon organizing stones. Then I sanded stacker rings & set a new turquoise ring. 💪🏻 30 minute walk 🍴 Morning - Steak & cheese omelette Late Morning - Coffee w/ cream Lunch - Roast beef & pork rinds Snack - Rooibos espresso Dinner - Skipped
“Wise beings do not want to remain a slave to the fear of pain. They permit the world to be what it is instead of being afraid of it. They wholeheartedly participate in life, but not for the purpose of using life to avoid themselves. If life does something that causes a disturbance inside of you, instead of pulling away, let it pass through you like the wind. After all, things happen every day that cause inner disturbance. At any moment you can feel frustration, anger, fear, jealousy, insecurity, or embarrassment. If you watch, you will see that the heart is trying to push it all away. If you want to be free, you have to learn to stop fighting these human feelings.”🍃🍃
“The most important thing in life is your inner energy. If you’re always tired and never enthused, then life is no fun. But if you’re always inspired and filled with energy, then every minute of every day is an exciting experience.”
When asked by @tombilyeu on Impact Theory, if he could recommend #1 change in life that would have massive improvement on your health @shawnmodel responded the #1thing you can do is to get yourself around healthy people. A Princeton University Study showed our brain waves sync up with and we become the average of the 5 people closet to us. If your inner circle is making you sick emotionally, physically and spiritually: Get a new inner circle.
This is a photo from May 5th and was the first time in a while that I’d made it to the gym and managed a decent workout😣 I have a relatively high pain tolerance but it’s been extremely difficult lately to muster up the energy and stay disciplined... Chronic pain and inflammation in the body has been known to cause depression/anxiety - which I’ve undoubtedly struggled with for years but have just recently chose to acknowledge and accept. We went to Seattle again to see my #rheum on Monday and I left the appointment feeling discouraged (which seems to be the norm lately). I’m making another attempt at taking things into my own hands and starting another intense diet that’s supposed to target and heal auto immune issues. So here’s my attempt at sharing it here to try and hold myself accountable🤷🏻♀️ • • • • #runonsentences#healthyself#hardreset#intermittentfasting#carnivorediet#cleaneating#invisibleillness#stillsdisease#rheumatoidarthritis#rso#cbd#bodyinmotionstaysinmotion#whenyourestyourust#arcalyst#bonemarrowtransplant#rituximab#sarilumab#prednisone#leflunomide
