Fruit sugar, is it bad for you? Absolutely not! Not all sugar is created equal. When your body has a high quality simple sugar like fruit, it knows exactly how to digest it. Our bodies are created with ancient codes on how to connect with nature, digest our food. Fruits and herbs and consciously cultivated foods have a DNA structure in them that connects instantly with our bodies. Like a secret language, they get each other. Fruit sugar can digest without needing insulin, making it the jet fuel of fuels for our body. Carbohydrates (fruit sugars included) will metabolize leaving behind two byproducts, carbon dioxide and water. Damn, talk about a clean energy source. Can you imagine if cars had that clean of an energy metabolism? Proteins and fats do not digest this cleanly in the body. They leave behind metabolic residues, acid-ash, urea, and all kinds of acids and waste that your kidneys and colon are responsible for cleaning and discarding later. Ketosis from fats and kidney failure from proteins are not your friends. Carbohydrates are the prime source of energy that your body would like to thrive on. I recommend getting that from simple sugars in fruits. Perfectly balanced with hundreds of thousands of phyto-nutrients, fiber, Phyto-chemicals, and living, hydrating water; saying that fruit sugar is bad for you is simply a misleading statement when you realize all of the amazing healing properties that fruit comes with when you eat it. Although i suppose they haven't fabricated this, they've just latched onto and publicised another bullshit story . So in short, the keto diet is just cutting carbs out and upping your fats . From reliable studies, the only people that benefit from this diet are people with epilepsy . Being in a state of ketosis literally has not many more benefits . So why do you lose weight when on a keto diet? . You're cutting carbs out . Not only will this deplete your glycogen stores from your muscles and liver but it will also reduce your calories down . 1 gram of carbs contains 4 calories . Cut these out, and you're cutting calories out . That, im afraid, is THE only reason you will lose weight on a keto diet . If you went over your daily calories from just eating fats everyday, you would still gain fat . Replacing carbs with fats to me makes no sense as 1 gram of fat contains 9 calories so in effect, you're swapping less calories, for more calories . But you probably wont listen to me so go follow your little unsustainable diets 😉
If there's any time you can indulge in your favourite pasta dishes, it's before a race. How many of you enjoy a warm bowl of pasta pre race? For this Spaghetti puttanesca: INGREDIENTS: 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil 1 red onion, finely chopped 6 garlic cloves, finely sliced ½–1 tsp dried chilli flakes 12 anchovy fillets in oil, drained and roughly chopped 2 tbsp baby capers, drained 100g/3½oz pitted black olives, sliced 800g/1lb 12oz cherry tomatoes (600g/1lb 5oz halved, 200g/7oz quartered) 500g/1lb 2oz dried spaghetti Handful flatleaf parsley, finely chopped Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper RECIPE: Heat the extra virgin oil in a large frying pan over a medium heat. Add the onion and cook for 5–8 minutes, until softened. Add the garlic, chilli flakes and anchovies to the onion and cook for 2–3 minutes. Add the capers, olives and halved tomatoes and cook for 8 minutes, or until the tomatoes start to soften and break down slightly. While the sauce is cooking, bring a large pan of salted water to the boil. Add the spaghetti and cook for 2 minutes less than the suggested time on the packet, stirring a few times. While the pasta is cooking, add a small ladleful of pasta water to the tomato sauce. Drain the spaghetti as soon as it is ready, keeping back a little of the water, and add it to the sauce with the quartered tomatoes and another splash of pasta water. Cook for 3–4 minutes, then stir in the parsley. Season with pepper, and salt if needed (the anchovies will be salty). Serve the pasta in warmed bowls, with Parmesan. I am a BIG FAN of baked goods, especially BREAD 🥖🥐🥯🍞 I can’t say that I went to 深圳 for this bakery, but this is a stop that I absolutely need to make before I leave. . Without further ado! The Dumb Moment comes when the staff cut the enormous American football like 🏈 durian bread into smaller pieces😍🍴 Why the hell on earth are there so much durian paste inside?!🤯 Seriously there are so much paste inside that in one bite, there are 2/3 of durian and only 1/3 is the dough😂 The dough perfectly soft, with moisture which is easy to eat, which is the texture that everyone would love.🥰 On the other hand, the durian paste is creamy, sweet with the unique flavor and smell, that just take the bread to another level.🤞 This combination makes the bread easier to be taken down than it should be.🤪 . So! The Dumb Award goes to... the quality control of the bread!🍞🥳 Usually bakeries close quite early in japan 🇯🇵 as the bread they make in the morning are all sold out. Fresh made bread that without preservatives should be harder to ensure the texture as the flavor to be consistent after half a day or more.🤨 This bakery does a great job that they sold bread from the morning and was still able to sell fresh made breads at night. (Although I don’t know if they put preservatives) I bought a few back home and have it that midnight and the day after, the texture and flavor remains the same and taste just like a fresh one!🤩 I would really liked to thank the quality control of the bakery that they make sure that they can still serve fresh and varied bread in the after and at night, that makes me so happy!☺️ . As you can see the breads there are massive and heavy, they have a special corner that help you to do the packing and cutting of bread, so that you can share it with your

It’s hard to get a nice durian even in Hong Kong 🇭🇰 as they are mainly from Thailand or Malaysia. While they are expensive and calorie dense, it’s not a fruit that we are able to have in normal days. We stop by this restaurant, doubted if we should try this pizza because it maybe a little bit awkward if it’s savory while there are cheese on top... well, both of us are a huge fan of durian, so why not give it a try! . Here! The Dumb Moment comes when I literally see the pizza! 🍕 It’s not an issue that the crust is in pink but the “toppings” that I saw it was is pineapple, cheese and “meatball”. I was wondering if they gave me a wrong order as that just looks like a Hawaiian pizza!!! (But it does smell so durian 😂 When you dig into it, that’s totally a different story... The “meatball” is actually the smashed durian paste, and gave the nice strong sweet and bitter flavor which is so arguable that some people think it stinks😂 At first, I think the saltiness of the cheese is a little bit strange mixing with the sweet pineapple and durian, but when it comes to the end, it takes down the sweetness from the durian that stopped me from getting sick of sweets.😌 . Here we go! The Dumb Award goes to...the pizza crust!👏 This absolutely reminds me of the pizza that I had in Australia 🇦🇺 back in summer which was using the old fashioned baking method from Italy 🇮🇹 to bake. That perfume was perfect and the crust was thin and chewy! Oh I’m sorry, back to this pizza lol I think the pink is just a coloring, but the texture of it is money 💰 Soft, thin, chewy, moist. Still, it can hold the toppings probably that I don’t need to use a fork and knife 🍴 to cut it. It is truly molto bella! .
