#lr_wild photo by @arieljfields || This photo is titled Sunset Prowl. I was seconds from missing this shot of an elusive, striped hyena prowling around at sunset. When I saw the hyena walking in my direction, I instantly got into position. I went for a vertical angle to include the setting sun. • This striped hyena is a well-known, young, female Hyena in Israel. In addition to being super rare, she is the biggest predator in Israel. Striped hyenas are nocturnal. They live alone and rarely hunt live animals. Sadly, like so much of the world’s wildlife, the Striped Hyena is facing a global threat, with a population estimated to be under 10,000 mature individuals. In this ecosystem, hyenas are vital; as scavengers, they are nature’s “vacuum cleaners.” • Here’s what you can do to make a difference and protect endangered wildlife: 1. Educate your family and friends about endangered species in your area. 2. Volunteer your time to protect wildlife in your area. —— Follow @ClueShots —— Credit @lightroom —— ..cool #lr_wild #nikonphotography#canon7d#nikonphoto#photographyig#canonrebelt6i#fotographer#photography#photosofinstagram#photographersoninstagram#photograp#canon70d#photographylife#nikonartists#photooftheweek
I remember going to the grand opening of the arena and they allowed fans to come down on the court and see how it feels on a nba court. That was way back in 2005. 14 years later & the spectrum center is still one of the most beautiful arenas in the league. From the old Hive that was on Tyvola to being nestled in the heart of center city. Buzz city will forever be a part of Charlotte culture.
The first time I discovered Romare Bearden Park was in early 2015. This is such a beautiful gem & it has one of the best vantage points in the Queen City of uptown. It’s always a great hangout spot after a Knights Baseball game or just a great place to snap some graduation photos or some colorful selfies in front of the water wall. Anytime time of the day is beautiful here but that dusk to night transition is always the most stunning to view.
Charlotte has come a long way with its transportation system. I remember when they first broke ground with the light rail system. Then they revitalized the Elizabeth Avenue trolly taking you from Novant (Presbyterian) to now right in front of the Transit station. Now with the UNCC line, the entire North/South corridor of the city can be easily accessed. I love watching this city grow and it’s only getting better as the days progress.
