Not much has gotten done on my bus the last few days.. why? Well because we found this awesome spot the other day (school bus graveyard), and we have cuteness overload here @splendoroaks between, daily dose of #peachesthepig, the baby goats, and baby chicks hatching.. and I’m OK with all of it.. Who else has been to this school bus graveyard cool stop here in GA? Photo credit: 📸 @slothhighfive
I still pinch myself that we get to do this. I recognize the privilege of having the opportunity to chase my dreams. Not every night is an epic sunset. But when everything ignites, I can’t help but overflow with thankfulness. Thankful for my man’s hard work. Thankful for supportive friends & family. Thankful for the Lord, who moment by moment sustains us. And on & on. What is the first thing that pops into your mind that you’re thankful for?
I get a few stares when Im driving or at a camp site...cause Slide Ons Campers are sooo rare! But they are the best of both worlds and it took me months to find one just right! Comfy home camp when i stop, flexibility of an off roader to head for a days adventuring! . With the addition of motorised jacks (legs) means i can set up camp quick sticks and super easy for the solo traveller. Worth every (many) $penny$ and 3 day self install!!
#vanlifetetris! Four seasons of gear jammed into our van, so we’re ready for whatever adventures come our way! 🚐✨ And it’s truly fitting that I share this packing video with you today because exactly two years ago, we packed up first van and left our last brick and mortar house 🏠 For these past 730 days, we have lived exclusively on the road (minus the 30 days we built this current van), traveling 60k miles to 47 states in the van. Alaska and Michigan, we’re coming for you soon! Hawaii, we love you, but shipping a van is expensive 🤑 What would you pack into your gear garage? — #geargarage#fulltimevanlife#vanthere
Perfect little free camp deep in the forest, only 20 minutes from fun little waves on one of our favourite pieces of coastline so far. So epic catching up with these legends @tracks.we.travel last week, trading waves, stories and toasting a few too many marshmallows over the campfire 🔥 📷 @tracks.we.travel 🙌
first step of the van is coming together. a solid template of the floor has been successfully created. sound deadening and insulation to go down first before these guys are officially “installed”. so many insulation options. but in my mind there are no wrong options, just learning experiences. either way YOU HAVE A VAN and that is better than no van...
Cañas 🎋 recogidas y trabajadas una a una manualmente por mi omnipresente Padre 😄 ° ° ° 🇬🇧 ... let's keep up revealing more details; Gustava (aka Skeletor) proudly shows how carefully she is being adorned to become my sweet home. The exfoliating rope curtain in the bathroom is topped with natural cane hoods. When they hit each other as you pass through them, a very special relaxing tinkle is heard. Besides, the "village and cows" smell of the rope brings you a matchless rural experience. The canes 🎋 have been collected and handcrafted one by one by my omnipresent Dad 😄.
Found a new way to shower today after we soaped down in the waves it was nice to have a hot, fresh water shower. This beach has continued to blow our expectations out of the water literally. - Side note bae has a tan line that would knock your socks off. 🤙🏽
The calm after the storm ⛈ It’s been pouring all day long in #austin! As much as I love the sound of raindrops on the aluminum roof, we’re starting to get a little stir crazy!!! Anyone have any good show recommendations to binge?! 🎥 🍿
It is spring in the deserts of the eastern Sierra; the mountains retain massive amounts of snow, but the temps down here are hitting the mid 80’s and everything’s green. I caught a sidewinder rattler not 10 feet away from camp this morning. Lizards scurry about in the midday. We watch the distant storms roll gently across the valley. These endless dirt roads could keep my attention for decades. It’s sublime. #bishopca#nomadlife#ontheroad
Repost: @evansmethurst - Rolling back into Calgary I'm having mixed emotions, it's time to put play on hold for abit and start work again, will still be living in Eddie for the summer, looking forward to my new adventures after summer! #australia or #europe. ---- @ty.loeppky 📸 - #regrann
P38 Range Rover memory seats operated by a BeCM (Body electrical control module). I've spent hours researching about the BeCM, only to find out........ Seems nobody has successfully retro fitted these seats using the sodding thing! 🤔 OK, old skool then 😁, working out (as my primitive schematic drawing surgests, 2 relays per motor) . a bank of 8, 40amp 5 terminal relays negatively switching (using original switches and one 30amp fuse for the positive feed side) polarising the motors should sort this issue out 🤔. OK, I ain't going to have memory seats, but it's only me driving the gentlemans lounge bus. So, I suppose the question is? Can anyone find fault, in the way I'm going to do this as per Schematic drawing I've done??? 🚌😉👍👍👍 #iveavan#rangerover#p38
Welcome to the world little fridge box! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I have got to say that I wasn’t initially too worried about having the fridge freestanding in the van. Elle on the other hand was very much of the perspective that the van wouldn’t be complete if the fridge was in plain view... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ About a day of work later and we have the outcome; Elle isn’t grumpy and we have a rad little enclosure for the fridge which doubles as an extra seat if we have visitors over for dinner. I am also going to add that I’m glad that she “encouraged me” with this one, I think it’s a great addition as we get closer to departing on our road trip! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 🚐🛠🤙🏼
As the afternoon shadows grow longer, I reflect on a day spent skating and hangin' with new friends, while doing my best to explain vanlife to them. There's no doubt that this nomadic lifestyle is contagious, and if you want it bad enough, you'll find a way to make it work!
“And then it happens... One day you wake up and you’re in the place. You’re in this place where everything feels right. Your heart is calm. Your soul is lit. Your thoughts are positive. Your vision is clear. You’re at peace, at peace with where you’ve been, at peace with what you’ve been through and at peace with where you’re headed.” Hawaii, in a camper van, with my travel soulmate @livefreeortour 💛
Friends! We’re makin’ progress! Joe got to break in his brand new table saw yesterday & the framing for our bench seats that will convert into our bed is almost complete! ➵ It makes me teary that I even thought for one second about giving up on this dream of ours. 😭 ➵ But you know what the only thing worse than giving up is? Wishing that you hadn't... ➵ See - I've always wanted to travel. I love experiencing new things, going on spontaneous adventures and soaking up the beauty this world has to offer. But here's the thing...I could never afford to go anywhere or have the ability to take the time off work. I turned down SO many amazing trips because I had to work or didn’t have the money. Anyone else feel me on that? 😫🙋🏼 ➵ One day I just got so SICK of living like that. We get ONE life, right? I want my life packed full of incredible memories! To this date, my ‘little side business’ has funded every single one of my 40+ vacations over the past 4 years. It's given me breathing room to FINALLY be able to afford things that I never could before. ➵ NOW - we’re working towards this INSANE dream of traveling full time together that I never in a MILLION years thought would even be possible. ➵ And if I’m being honest - the thought came to mind more than once to quit because being a business owner isn’t easy. But here's the thing...NOTHING truly amazing comes easy. It takes work - like ANYTHING worthwhile does! ➵ I had to stretch myself, learn new things, develop self-discipline and be consistently work my business. Everyday isn't a walk in the park...but is it worth it? ➵ 👉🏼HELL YES it is!!!!👈🏼 ➵ So thankful I was bold enough to say yes to an opportunity I knew nothing about. So proud that I was strong enough to ignore the people that didn't believe in me. So happy I didn’t let someone else’s decision to quit on themselves make me so doubtful that I ended up quitting on myself. So grateful that I kept going on

Time FLIES! Next week, we celebrate SIX months on the road! Oh, the places we’ve seen. We are so so grateful for our journey, the people we’ve met and our friends & family who made it out to make our trip that much more special.
