I love how walkable Costa Mesa is! Our hotel is not only close to the mall and theater, but also close to various art displays and sculptures! . 🎨 Costa Mesa is named City of the Arts! There is such a vibrant art culture here. . Only a few steps away, we walked to one of my favorite places, Noguchi Gardens. It is so peaceful here and the art displays are just beautiful.
#badbabesofblnk Print Show Feature in partnership w / @lips_zine ❗️🌙 @bunnyraunch / buy these from this #cali#artist while in stock! *this SAT* 7-10p / thx to @bunnyraunch for takin the time to give such insightful interview answers 💕👇🏽—————•——— [b]Have you experienced anything unique being a female in the art world? ——-“My work is sensual and provocative and occasionally has a violent edge. A couple of times I've received messages from angry women who were upset because they felt I was degrading women and creating art that promoted sexual violence and nonconsensual objectification. They also assumed I was a male artist. After I explained that I am a female artist and what I create comes from my own imagination and experience and is more about the emotion of being in such a situation, the tone went from accusatory to cautiously congratulatory. This feels a bit weird but it made me realize how certain work is viewed differently depending on who the viewers think the artist is. I feel women artists could use this to push the envelope a lot farther than we have been.” —•———— [b]Why are shows like this significant? ——————-“Bc women can be and ARE just as creative, clever, astute, and powerful as male artists when given the chance! Art, especially fine art, has been a boys' club since forever and it's ridiculous that we continue to perpetuate this idea. At the Getty Art Museum in Los Angeles there is ONE piece in their permanent collection that is by a female artist. ONE. At this point, we can forgive the past without excusing or perpetuating it going forward, and the way to gain traction with all these age-old Institutions that are quite stuck in an antiquated mindset about art is from the ground up with shows like these, happening everywhere, creating a demand and respect for art made by female artists.” — - - #chicago#blnkhaus#chicagogallery#womeninthearts#chicagoevents#healingarts
My parents just left San Francisco this morning, and they’re already talking about coming back for my next solo show in the fall. This picture is from the last time they came to visit, for the opening of my exhibit “Light Matter” last spring. Really grateful to have this kind of support in my life, and for our time together this week. Thanks @lmueller4 & @carlmueller4 for always going to such great lengths so that we can celebrate life milestones as a family!

Another dream catcher! ✨ Just finished this “mini” yesterday. I’ve really been enjoying creating these, especially because there are so many different styles and web designs. 😊 I’m going to be holding a raffle giveaway at my first Fundraiser Art Party this Sunday, and one lucky winner will get to take this home. 🤩🎉
Sent this beauty off today to be auctioned off at @elizabeth_house 2019 charity gala at the end of this month! Elizabeth house is an organization that helps pregnant women struggling with housing get back on their feet and make a stable home for them and their new babies. I am so honored to be donating this piece to be auctioned off where 100% of the proceeds will go towards helping other women. #payitforward y’all. This is two panels, 20x32 inches in total made of artist resin, pigments, glitter and glass. Shout out to @createmeowrepeat.blog for making it happen! 😘
🌊Ride the wave.....Modern meets coastal. Love showing how versatile my art pieces can be. You’d instantly think that this piece would go in a beach theme home, right? But....nope it can go in other styles like this more modern look. • 🖼:me @artroomsapp #nickilenore#coastalartwork#interiordesigninspo

Soul Connection | 36 x 48 | Acrylic | Custom Commission 🖤 This piece is about capturing the intensity and joy when two souls connect. A kiss that rattles you to the core, that not only pulls all of your attention but demands it. You become oblivious to the world moving around you and are taken to a place you didn’t know existed. - This piece was commissioned by the gentleman in the painting as a surprise for his beautiful significant other. Not only did I get to create this painting of a breathtaking moment but I also got to be a part of making a romantic reveal moment happen. We coordinated a whole surprise where I posed as an artist painting by the ocean in La Jolla that they happened to come across while visiting San Diego for a weekend getaway. - Seeing her reaction the moment she saw the painting filled my heart with so much happiness. The instant she saw the painting she looked right at him speechless, he came over and kissed her and held her in his arms while she wiped tears from her eyes. The surprise and the beautiful moments that followed are something I will cherish forever. - And to hear them say that they love the painting, that I truly captured the moment, and it turned out better than he had even imagined is the best thing an artist can hear. I feel lucky to have been able to be a part of this beautiful gesture and making this moment happen for two wonderful, kind souls that are truly in love.
Instance no. 589,376,268 that things in the studio have gone completely different than I expected. // I tried a new clay. I’m still looking for something that’s fairly easy to roll out, holds details, and can be reused. Apparently this new clay stains the plaster. Who knew?! 🤷♀️
