Installing the drawer fronts on the office built-in! I made little 1/8” spacers out of scrap wood to help get an even reveal around each drawer front. You see me use them in the video. Next is the toe kick and I’m done 🤓
Side by Side: Mafell KSS 40 and KSS 50 brushless carpentry saws. Both saws are the top of their class and utilize the Metabo LiHD battery technology. These carpentry saws mainly use their attached guide rail but can quickly be snapped off of the rails for use free handed or on the FSN style guide rails (Mafell/Bosch guide rails). Made in Germany. These saws are of the highest quality. It's hard to explain the feel and overall detail in these saws. It's something you immediately notice when you pick one up. Both saws available from @timberwolftools in North America. . . Any questions, ask below. 🎵 🔊 To quote my old pal Captain America, "I can do this all day" 😉. I've had a few weeks to use this @kregjig K5, and what a game changer! 🙌🏼 I did add support extensions for some 40" wide panels. Took 5 minutes and it probably would've been just fine without them. Any recent additions you're stoked about? #kreg#tooltuesday#marvelnerd Music: "KTSG - Celestial (Sappheiros Remix)" by Sappheiros
I picked up the Thingamejig scribing tool recently and have been using it a little while now. I’m really liking it! Its the same idea as using a block and knife, as I see other installers use. The difference being that it is adjustable. You set the depth that you need, and then it scores a nice crisp scribe line. Cut it close to the line with the track saw, and finish off with a planer or belt sander. I almost always grab that @boschtoolscanada 12V planer these days, it’s been great for scribing. I’ve been getting nice tight panels in one shot. Speeding up my process is the reason I got that scribe, and it’s been working. . . . #cabinetinstaller#cabinets#cabinetmakers#cabinetry#saskmade#saskatoon
This kitchen's detailing is a study of balance between dark and light finishes. We installed the elongated glossy gray subways in a horizontal stack lay pattern with white grout and had the interior of the glass cabinetry painted a matte gray and placed white dishware and accessories on the lit glass shelves. The perimeter cabinets are white, but we did a nice spacious island in matte black... it's all about balance and figuring out what just 'feels' right.
