Yesterday we all returned to work, school and nursery after a fantastic Easter break (hubby had already been back but we won’t worry about him 😉). It’s rare when aren’t at least a few major sibling dramas, but these last two weeks have been pretty great, from exploring the beautiful, and unexpectedly warm Algarve, to being tourists in our own city, and seeing lots of family and friends over the bank holiday weekend. It’s memories like this which make me feel very grateful for all that we have as a family. . This beautiful looking bar was in the Old Town in Albufeira. I loved the colours and it’s position on the corner of three roads. It is reminds me of the time we spent exploring Santorini as the colours are so reminiscent of this Greek island too. . Hope everyone else is having a good week, whatever you’re up to!
———————————————————— Have you ever heard of Workaway? It’s the ideal way to make your trip last as long as possible and at the same time spend as little money as possible. We are introduced to it this week for the first time. We stay on the farm and help with the daily activities: feeding animals, cleaning up (a lot of flooding), cleaning stables. Of course we also bake pancakes for Inez, the owner and her friends. We didn’t come to this location via the platform, but at the invitation of Inez himself. She had read about our trip in the newspaper. Japan is always been one of the favorite destinations. Even if you have no plans to climb Mt Fuji, the sprawling town of Kawaguchi-ko set around the lake of the same name, is a great base to hang out and enjoy all that the Fuji Five Lakes region has to offer, particularly as the three Fuji sightseeing bus lines all start from Kawaguchi-ko Station. Can you guess where is this? Travel the world with @traveleroninsta Photo by @loic.lagarde 📍:Kawaguchiko, Japan )

Ezen a hétvégén nem utaztam el, meglepő? (Nekem is) Részben azért maradtam Budapesten, mert az év legnagyobb utazására készülök, ami sokkal nagyobb kihívásnak ígérkezik, mint eddig bármelyik utam... Közben azért nem felejtettem el turistát játszani a kedvenc városomban és a Várnegyedben sétáltam, ami egyébként 1987-től a Világörökség része is. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 🇬🇧 I stayed home this long weekend, dealing with deadlines and plans for the biggest travel of the year that is ahead of me. Up to this point that trip will be the most challenging one and I cannot wait! But I haven’t forgotten how beautiful Budapest can be, so I pretended to be a tourist in my own city and went up to the Castle District to enjoy the sun and the architecture of the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
*Budget Post* A lot of you ask me about the price of traveling, and how can i afford myself 4 trips a year. During time i learned and found smart ways to keep on a low budget. With the amount other people spend on one trip, i manage to plan at least 2. And oh boy, i like getting high value for my money. For example, for last year's eurotrip-i paid only 230€ on flights to 3 different countries (during holidays high season) and my last 4 course meal in Michelin starred restaurant, cost only 35€ 😊 In my next posts I'll share my tips with you, and prove you don't have to be rich to afford traveling. Stay tuned! . . #ladiesgoneglobal#traveltips#moneysavingtips#dametraveler
Evening time in Innsbruck. Best thing about this place is that everything is so closely connected to each other. The people here are so friendly. Innsbruck is what I would like to call a pocket friendly trip for people who are on a tight budget to experience the snow in Nordekette (which would give you a Swiss Alps feeling). I fell in love with this place. Innsbruck is not promoted that much for travellers / tourists, but maybe that is the beauty of this place, which keeps it unexplored and interesting.
Echo Beach Resort tried to rip us off. They said the upgraded room was booked but a lower spec room was available for the same price. Yeah no thanks. We booked this and 15 minutes later we were moved in and loving it. Way closer to the good surf breaks of Canggu and a much better location. We heard birds and surf instead of scooters first thing this morning. Day 1 and we’re rolling with the punches. Thanks @anginsepoivilla 👌🏼
Goodbye, #naawan. I've been here a few times since 2013 and here at #rosewood is where we always stay. They have spacious rooms, strong water pressure, hot & cold shower, cable tv, ref, wifi with breakfast for two at P1,500/night. Til our next Naawan trip. #budgettrip#budgethotel
