Niewiarygodny synchron i wyczucie. Termometr wskazuje 37 st. w cieniu, a ja odpalam żelazko, by bezkarnie móc zagłębić się w biografię Michała Anioła. Co za człowiek i artysta!!!
☕️Life is a book and there are a thousand pages I have not yet read☕️ • • Tea time, all the time friends. I have seriously become such a tea fiend lately! I have it every morning, sometimes more than that. It’s mostly in the vain hope that I can drink enough tea to just suddenly start talking with a British accent. Here’s to hoping. Honestly if I could just listen to Will Herondale speak all day, I would be more than satisfied. Make sure to use ESCAPE10 on your next @getfictional order!🇬🇧 • • I spent almost all day packing, prepping, and planning for my trip to NYC! I’m so pumped! I have to leave at the crack of dawn tomorrow morning, but luckily I don’t have a problem sleeping on planes.✈️ • • If you could live in another country, and money was no option, where would you want to live?🌍
The King and his Fool 👑 In the shadows deep below the palace grounds. A King festered in his own grief. Locked away from the public eye, he refused council from his court and companions. Instead, he sought to mend by sinking ale and fine port. Misty-eyed King, once so young and fit. Lost. His love lost in exchange for a child bred to exist in his world for only a short while, unaware to his father he would not see past more than nine. The King was growing old and foolish. Only one other man’s ear and mouth could fit in the shadow’s with him, his Fool. Charcoal in hand, the King hunched over his art constructing a large castle bewildered in black lines bent into arches and a smeared landscape. The King had always been a proud man, even in his grief. “Well, what do you think?” He presented a fine piece of work to his Fool, in the hope he would receive his well deserved glory. “I don’t think. Are you mad? Thinking is dangerous…but I’ll wink.” And so, the Fool did. The King sighed. “Idiot.” The Fool roared, “Idiot!? What about you? Think about it, you find the perfect wife; she’s sweet, pliable, she even has good tits. On top of that, she gives you the son you’ve always wanted, and you let her die.” The King shuddered and turned away from his companion. My darling Jane. “Jesus Christ! Have mercy, and you think I’m the idiot? And she’s not the only one, poor abandoned Katherine.” The fool dared. “Careful.” The King warned. He often allowed his Fool to speak a bittersweet truth, the only man to ever have crossed him and keep his head. “And that other one whose name escapes me, as her head escaped her. All lost.” The fool sang unapologetic. “GO TO HELL!” The king raged in despair. “What, go there? I’d thought I’d already arrived. For surely gracious Lord, this…is…hell.” ♥️ ...Like this??? link In bio . #writingabook#wordsmiths#writingcoach#writingsofinstagram#wordstagram#reading#readingnook
I'm having a bit of book hangover right now after finishing I Dare You by Shantel Tessier (book 2 is out I'm just not letting myself open it till tomorrow 😂) so I decided to do another review! So I found "In a dark dark wood" by Ruth Ware when I was working at a counselor in a no electronics summer camp 4 years ago. If you don't know me I'm a huge scaredy cat and refused to touch this book even as it was passed from counselor to counselor with rave reviews. But about 6 months ago I found that I actually really enjoyed thrillers and mysteries and thought why not. I am so glad I did it. The book definitely started out slow and I almost didn't stick with it but I'm glad I decided to keep with it. This book follows a woman out on a hen do (see bachelorette party) for a friend she hasnt seen or spoken to since high school. So like obviously you know something's off, you dont invite just anyone to your "last free weekend". From the moment the women arrive at the cabin I had the heebie geebies probably because I expected the worst, but none the less my brain started trying to figure out every small detail. By the end after all the action and figuring out who done it I was so glad to have given this book a try. If you want to question all your friends decisions and never think about going on a girls weekend in the woods again I definitely recommend this book. Honestly I recommend this book anyway because sometimes it's a little fun to be scared. So read and enjoy! 📖❤
Happy Publication Day! 🎉 Out today!!! 📖 DARK PURPOSE by A B Endacott (part of the Legends of the Godkissed Continent series) SYNOPSIS : "When the time comes, I know you'll be able to do what's necessary," she said before walking away. "Maybe that's what I'm afraid of," Freya whispered. The Kade rule the Third Country through terror and unrelenting oppression. To the outside world, healer Freyanna Kuch is a member of the subjugated Pious class whose collaboration has seen her richly rewarded by the Kade. But Freya is a member of the Resistance. Her upstanding marriage, work, and conduct is a front as she works to create a better, more equal world. However, the world of intrigue and shadows requires everything of a person. If Freya is to succeed in helping the Resistance, she must sort out her complicated feelings for Ashtyn, the man who brought her to the Resistance, and try to navigate the bloodthirsty demands of rebellion despite her obligation as a healer to do no harm. As tensions rise across the Third Country, Freya must decide who she must be in order to fight for the world she wants, even if that means turning away from everything she holds dear. MY THOUGHTS : this is the next book in the series following my recent review of Dark Intent. In this story we follow Freya in her decision to RESIST and no longer be subservient to the Kade's violent rule over their people, particular the Pious community. Freya learns to find her strength and a new hidden power discovered from her healing talents which will help her defend and fight for survival. But can she overcome her refusal to harm others when her natural instinct is to heal others? Freya is forced to face many inner obstacles in order to help save the majority. I loved this follow up to Dark Intent and will be eagerly awaiting the release of the next part of this trilogy. MY RATING : ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thank you so much Alice @alicejaneboere for gifting me with this beautiful pre-launch pack! I posted
There’s many theories on when the toothbrush was actually invented. Many believe the first “modern” looking brush was invented by the emperor of China on June 26, 1498. Brushing ones teeth like we now do did not become a practice until after World War II 😳. But, if you want pearly whites like Sully here, don’t neglect getting your dog’s teeth professionally cleaned once a year! Healthy teeth for dogs are just as important as healthy teeth for humans! Happy brushing!
“You remind me of how the world ought to be. What the world can be.” — S. J. Maas, Crown of Midnight 🥀🖤🔥⚔️ • • • I’ve started reading the Throne of Glass series just recently. I’ve already finished Throne of Glass and Crown of Midnight. I’m starting Heir of Fire next and I’m excited to see how the story unfolds. From the first two books, Chaol is one of my favorites. I know that not everyone likes him much (but keep in mind I’m only two books in!) and I don’t agree with what he did in CoM. But I did love him and Celaena together. I shipped them more than I did Celaena and Dorian. Has anyone ever liked a character that not many people were fond of? Or vice versa? Do you ship a couple that not a lot of people liked? • • Also, how beautiful is the dust jacket, print, bookmark, and candle? I got them from the @thebookishbox Throne of Glass special edition box!
