#moisdesfiertes#citationdujour#mercredicitation#bookstagram#books#booklovers#bookthug#clubdelecture#bookobsessed#bookclubofinstagram#bookclub#bookworm#livres#lectures#livresinstagram#bookstagramer#instabook#instalivres#paris
Book Experiment #17 I have quite a lot of books to get through this month so my reviews might come in late, however, I'm already two books down for this month. . . Now, this book - A Fine Balance by Rohinton Mistry is a story of four people (Dina, Ishwar, Omprakash & Maneck). The narrative begins from the year 1975 when the famous Emergency ensued; the city near the sea (it is an unnamed city but my guess is Mumbai) where Dina is on a lookout for two tailors and a paying guest. And destiny gives her Ishwar & Omprakash—the backward class tailors looking for work in the big city, and Maneck—a young boy from mountains doing in his engineering in the big city. The majority of the story revolves around these four and how are they managing their lives under the cruelty and ill-favored circumstances. . . Now this book is all shades of dark, depression and disaster. No, I'm not saying the book is bad - it is actually pretty good. What I'm saying is it is too realistic, grim and constantly bitter. I like how Rohinton brought the reality of backward-class, poor and middle-class people lives that usually goes unspoken. Yes, the story is bittersweet (too bitter, very less sweet) but that's the reality we Indians live in. I definitely recommend this book but with caution. Like Rohinton said ---- You have to maintain a fine balance between hope and despair. In the end, it’s all a question of balance. #bookstagram#booklover#readersofig#whattoread#bookworm#bookrecommendations#bookclub#bookreview#booksofinstagram#goodreads#readinglist#bibliophile#igreads#booknerd#readingchallenge2019#mysterybooks#readerforlife#pictureoftheday#minimalpicture#indianreads#bookclubofinstagram#rohintonmistry#finebalance
Good morning ✨ Time for Book Review 📖 . . I finished reading Five Feet Apart last night and my words are falling short and my heart pounders every time I think of Stella and Will . . . Five Feat apart is an honest and a real read. It will keep you engaged and you can feel yourself standing right next to the characters and witnessing everything. 👫 . . The story revolves around Stella And Will. Stella, who has spent most of her time since childhood in the hospital, is suffering from Cystic Fibrosis. Cystic Fibrosis is a genetic disorder that affects mostly the lungs. Stella’s life revolves around hospitals, medicines , surgeries , her parents and her best friend Poe. . Will on the other hand is a charming but a rebellious young man suffering from Burkholderia Cepacia which means they have to stay Five Feet Apart from each other all the time. . ‘How can you love someone you can never touch?’ How can you love someone when you know you both will die someday?’ Imagine yourself being in the same room and not being able to touch that person. The thought of that makes every bone in my body ache. . . Will they be able to maintain a Five Feet distance at all time ???? Or it will break their heart ?? 💔 . . I would give this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ star. . I totally loved this novel and would recommend you to read this one too. ❤️ .. . . #bookclubofinstagram#followforfollowback#writersofinstagram#bibliophile#reading#fivefeetapart#bookreviewersofinstagram#bookreview#blogger#mustread#rachaellippincott#bookstagram

The tory starts with the narrator being expressive about how he started gaining his interests in cricket and how he started loving it. . 🏏Cricket being the most passionate game of this country come world. Come and spend Juneteenth with us tomorrow night at 7 pm on Facebook Live for the FINAL episode of Lit for Literature! We can’t wait to wrap up the season with “If Beale Street Could Talk” by James Baldwin.
On the Rocks - @kandisteiner . Overall rating - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ . Wow, this book was everything I was needing mixed in with Steiner’s unique way of writing where she pulls you in from the first sentence right through to the last. . I love a country romance so this book ticked all the right boxes for me along with the slow burn, the angst and the forbidden element. . We see Ruby Grace going back to her home town to prepare for her upcoming wedding. While shopping for her future husbands wedding gift, she comes across Noah. Instantly sparks fly. Noah knows she is engaged to be married so he does back off knowing this, however, they are drawn to each other and have sizzling chemistry whenever they are near. . I loved the friendship between them, it was so easy and Noah, what a dream he is. He is everything you want in a book boyfriend. He’s honest, has good family values, a hard worker and knows what he wants. . One of my favorite things I love about Steiner is the way she describes the details, making you live and breath the story along with the characters putting you right in the scene, feeling everything they are feeling and giving you all the feels. . I highly recommend this read. It’s the perfect book to just sit down and get lost in. It’s an easy read, with low drama and a great story, although the heroine is engaged to be married there is no cheating, so no need to worry about that one. . A definite one-click and I can’t wait to read the other brothers stories! . *ARC received for an honest review* ____________________ Overall Ratings; First Sex Scene @ 60% Hero - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Heroine - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Story - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ Angst - ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Steam - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Chemistry - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ POV - Duel . #heareads#booklover#bookreviewer#romancebooks#bookstagram
Suspenseful. Thrilling. Page turning. Surprise ending. While I did not love this novel quite as much Karen Cleveland’s first novel, Need to Know, I still thoroughly enjoyed it and give it a solid ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. This is a quick and entertaining read that will capture your attention all the way through.
I CANNOT resist a good step-back! Perhaps I should stop buying books until after mine is released... because at this rate I’ll be spending my entire budget on hiring an illustrator to do my own step-back 😂 💕💕 Effie
The first romance book I ever bought, a curious 11 year old, I remember being absolutely petrified buying this book. I’ve had this book for over 11 years and I will always love Kathleen. E. Woodiwiss (RIP) and whisky I know that some of her work has not aged well, she will never stop being my romance soft spot ! (Please note that I am procrastinating when I should be getting work done !) 💕💕 Effie
Ok, last self-indulgent post as tomorrow is back to reality! “The Leopard Prince” is one of the first borderline erotica I ever read ! It was a complete accident, as before I read mainly Kathleen. E. Woodiwiss. And then I stumbled across this beauty, and it changed my view of romance completely ! A financially independent heroine? In the 1700s ?! With lots of steamy, yet wholesome content?!?! Swoon If you’ve never read it, I very much suggest to do so. Immediately. 💕💕 Effie
