India is likely to place an order for 16,000 Light Machine Guns (LMGs) under the fast track procedure (FTP), two officials familiar with the matter have revealed. The FTP can be invoked in cases where “undue/unforeseen delay” in buying weapons is seen to be adversely impacting the military’s capacity and preparedness, the first official was quoted by Hindustan Times as saying Wednesday. In early February, the country also approved the purchase of 73,000 SIG716-G2 rifles from the US under the FTP to replace old INSAS rifles. The deal is valued at $97 million (INR 700 Crore). “Indian Army teams will visit weapon manufactures in several countries including the US, Bulgaria and South Korea in the coming weeks to initiate the LMG purchase. Tenders for buying LMGs have been scrapped in recent years as only a lone vendor met the army’s requirements, delaying the projects,” said the second official. “Previous attempts to buy LMGs have not come to fruition. It’s important to compress the acquisition process as is being done under the FTP route. It’s a critical shortfall in capability that is now being addressed on priority,” said former army vice chief Lieutenant General AS Lamba (retd). According to rules, weapons sought to be bought under the FTP should already be in the military’s armoury, have undergone trial evaluation, or be in service in foreign militaries so that the time required for evaluation is minimised. The army has a requirement of more than 40,000 LMGs. The army is looking for 7.62mm x 51mm weapons with an effective range of at least 800 metres. In October 2017, the Army proposed to acquire around 7 lakh rifles, 44,000 light machine guns (LMGs) and nearly 44,600 carbines. However, only rifles had been cleared while the deal for carbines and LMGs remained pending. In January, Tiruchi Assault Rifles (TAR) developed by Ordnance Factory was handed over to the Indian Border Security Force. The rifle is touted to be an improved version
The Norwegian Defence Materiel Agency (NDMA) has awarded a contract to Krauss-Maffei Wegmann (KMW) for six Leguan bridge layer systems to be used on Leopard 2 chassis. In addition to the vehicle systems, training simulators and a peripheral package are also part of the procurement project, the company said in a statement Thursday. The Leguan bridge-laying tank can configure one 26 meter or two 14 meter bridges with a load rating of class MLC 80. (exceptional load rating class up to MLC 110). The fully automatic laying system enables bridges to be constructed in approximately five minutes. The tactical advantage of the system is to be found in its horizontal laying technique which preserves the low silhouette on missions. The operation is automated and performed by the driver via a system menu, but can also be performed independently by the commander, according to the company. Delivery will start in summer 2022. #theoneandonly#marine#veteran#sgt#usa#alvaradopinp#robertalvarado#pinup#art#vintage#pinupgirl#bodypositive#usmc#marines#jarhead#tattoodgirls#inkedgirls#beyou#bebold#lionheart#bossbabe#america#bombsaway#bombsaway#jarhead#tattooedgirls#beyou#bebold#lionheart#leo

The U.S. Air Force in Europe and Africa spokeswoman Renae Pittman on Thursday denied claims that two Sukhoi SU-27 fighter jets made a B-52H bomber turn away from the Russian border over the Baltic Sea. Russia’s SU-27 jets did not chase the U.S. B-52H bomber away from the Russian border over the Baltic Sea and the plane managed to complete its mission, US Air Force in Europe and Africa spokeswoman Renae Pittman told TASS news agency. “On March 20th, the B-52 had a routine interaction with a Russian Su-27 while conducting operations over the Baltic Sea. The pilots were using transponders and operating in conformity with international law. The Russian aircraft did not chase the B-52 away, and the bomber was able to complete its mission. Operations and engagements with our allies and partners demonstrate and strengthen our shared commitment to global security and stability,” she said. The U.S. Air Force has sent six B-52 long-range bombers to the United Kingdom for a series of training activities over Europe. The aircraft and over 450 airmen arrived at Royal Air Force base Fairford on Thursday (14 March 2018) from Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana. Recently, four U.S. Air Force B-52H Stratofortresses flew from RAF Fairford, England to several places in Europe including the Norwegian Sea, the Baltic Sea and the Mediterranean Sea. United States Strategic Command demonstrates commitment to U.S. allies and partners through the global employment of military forces. Bomber missions, like those from RAF Fairford, represent our unwavering support to our allies and our commitment to regional security. NATO spokesperson Oana Lungescu said: “This is a routine deployment, but it shows that the US nuclear umbrella protects Europe and demonstrates the unique capabilities the US could bring to Europe in a crisis. The B-52 deployment is yet another sign that the United States is strongly committed to NATO”.
The European aerospace giant Airbus has announced that Kazakhstan ordered additional C295 transport aircraft. The aerospace giant reported the Border Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan has signed a firm order for one C295 medium transport aircraft. Through this new agreement, which includes training, spares and ground support equipment, the overall C295 fleet operating in Kazakhstan will increase to nine aircraft. The new C295, in transport configuration, will play a vital role in border control activities and homeland security operations due to its demonstrated reliability and cost efficiency in operation at low temperatures. With this new order, the Border Service of Kazakhstan becomes the 31st operator of the C295 and brings the total number of orders up to 13 aircraft in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The Airbus C295 is a tactical airlifter in the light and medium segment. It is robust and reliable but also highly versatile in terms of the number of different missions it can perform. #theoneandonly#marine#veteran#sgt#usa#alvaradopinp#robertalvarado#pinup#art#vintage#pinupgirl#bodypositive#usmc#marines#jarhead#tattoodgirls#inkedgirls#beyou#bebold#lionheart#bossbabe#america#bombsaway#bombsaway#jarhead#tattooedgirls#beyou#bebold#lionheart#leo

Even us Pros need tune-ups and tweaks to help improve our game! Today, my counterpart Pete and I worked on improving my shoulder and feet alignment in order to hit a fade w/ the Driver. I was struggling with my feet being aimed way right of my shoulder line which caused me to pull the ball left. Swipe left to see my alignment before we worked on improving it. Drill: the simple drill we used was to place two alignment sticks on the ground. The far right one being my intended target line and the left one being the line I want my feet parallel with (my body's aim line). Try this drill in your practice and let me know if it helps!

Russia`s Kalashnikov Group (a subsidiary of the state corporation Rostec) has tested its upgraded electric motorcycle under cold climate conditions, according to the press department of the company. Electric vehicles are intended to be used mainly by special forces for silent approaches and escapes. "The Kalashnikov Group`s second-generation electrical motorcycle for special units and law enforcement agencies has been tested in the freezing cold at a temperature of some -20C°. The vehicle has successfully passed through the tests," said a spokesperson for the company. The Kalashnikov Group unveiled its SM-1 electrical motorcycle at the Army 2018 international military-technical forum held in Kubinka, near Moscow, last August. The vehicle was originally intended for the Russian Ministry of Defense. The SM-1 is powered by a water-cooling brushless direct current electric engine, producing a top speed of 90 km/h and a cruising range of some 150 km. The powerpack is coupled a LiIon or LiFePO4 rechargeable battery. The motorcycle is 2.2 m long and 1.3 m high. #theoneandonly#marine#veteran#sgt#usa#alvaradopinp#robertalvarado#pinup#art#vintage#pinupgirl#bodypositive#usmc#marines#jarhead#tattoodgirls#inkedgirls#beyou#bebold#lionheart#bossbabe#america#bombsaway#bombsaway#jarhead#tattooedgirls#beyou#bebold#lionheart#leo
The U.S. Army has given further details on the capabilities of its new advanced coating system for ground combat vehicles. While Soldiers wear camouflage to blend into the environment, it is also important to ensure ground vehicles are not easily detected. The Army now has a new advanced coating system for ground vehicles that suppresses ground vehicle heat signatures, making the vehicles much more difficult to detect. The Ground Vehicle Coating System was developed by a joint venture between the Combat Capabilities Development Command Ground Vehicle Systems Center, the Combat Capabilities Development Command Army Research Laboratory and the Army’s Manufacturing Technology program to reduce detectable infrared signatures that are emitted from vehicles, making them much more difficult to detect and track. This new coating also mitigates the effects of chemical agents that adversaries may use to injure, incapacitate or kill Soldiers. “This technology is significant because it embraces the spirit and direction of the Army Futures Command to develop, create and implement technologies that ensure dominance on the battlefield. The technology will be the foundation of a variety of alternatives that will meet and overcome emerging threats to Army platforms,” said Thomas Wagner, CCDC Ground Vehicle Systems Center engineer. The Army’s Manufacturing Technology program, known as ManTech, provided the necessary funding to work with industry to develop, refine, test and validate a process for manufacturing Chemical Agent Resistant Coating-compatible paint products that aid in vehicle detectability avoidance. In addition to reducing the cost of the coating per gallon by approximately 75 percent from when the program originally started, the coating can be applied to vehicles in existing facilities, including depots and arsenals, using equipment already in the Army’s inventory. This will decrease application costs and increase production output.
Maintainers and pilots in the 388th Fighter Wing recently completed the first operational rapid crew swap exercise with the F-35A Lightning II, according to a statement released by the U.S. Air Force. “Other aircraft like bombers, tankers, helicopters, and twin engine fighters have been doing ‘hot crew swaps’ for some time. Until now, it hasn’t been safe to do with a single engine fighter, but the F-35’s maintenance-friendly design provided Airmen here an opportunity to develop this capability,” said Col. Michael Miles, 388th Maintenance Group commander. During a rapid crew swap, a pilot takes off, completes his mission, lands and takes on fuel while another pilot takes over the cockpit of the same fighter. This cuts down on the number of required maintenance actions and reduces the time it takes to generate a new sortie by up to two hours, said 1st Lt. Ryan Naluai, assistant officer in charge of the 421st Aircraft Maintenance Unit. “The jet’s systems report on the health of the aircraft as it is flying and after it lands. So, under these conditions, we can confidently put it back up in the air again immediately without doing a full post-operation inspection,” Naluai said. “It’s a testament to the reliability of the F-35 and the proficiency of our maintainers.” “During home-station flying, rapid crew swaps will allow for more sorties in a condensed period of time, which will become increasingly important as three full squadrons begin flying here,” said Maj. Caleb Guthmann, 388th Fighter Wing director of staff and F-35 pilot with the 34th Fighter Squadron. During wartime, it allows aircraft to continually rotate into the fight, providing combat flexibility. “Flying more sorties with less down-time proves the capability of the F-35 to fly sustained combat operations,” Guthmann said. “It gives us more time in the air to target bad guys and protect friendlies.”
Pakistan is eyeing to purchase Chinese long-range Rainbow CH-4 and CH5 drones. It is the first time that the country is acquiring a long-range drone. According to the intelligence agency's report, Pakistan has decided to increase the number of drones in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) to increase the surveillance on the international border including the Line of Control (LoC), Defence News reported Wednesday. The CH-4 can carry up to 400 kilograms of explosives and can stay in the air for 40 hours. It can cover a range of up to 5,000 kilometres. The Rainbow CH-5 can carry up to 1,000 kilograms of explosives and stay in the air up to 60 hours. The drones can fly up to 17,000 feet height in the air. In October 2018, reports suggested Pakistan’s intention to buy 48 Wing Loong II drones from China, its “all weather ally.” The Wing Loong II is a high-end reconnaissance, strike and multi-role endurance unmanned aerial system, capable of being fitted with air-to-surface weapons. It is roughly equivalent to the American MQ-9 Reaper drone. The two countries have also recently begun working together to make the Block III version of the JF-17 fighter jet match the latest version of the United States F-16 V aircraft by equipping the jet with active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar, helmet-mounted targeting system, an advanced targeting pod, data links and beyond visual range weapons. #theoneandonly#marine#veteran#sgt#usa#alvaradopinp#robertalvarado#pinup#art#vintage#pinupgirl#bodypositive#usmc#marines#jarhead#tattoodgirls#inkedgirls#beyou#bebold#lionheart#bossbabe#america#bombsaway#bombsaway#jarhead#tattooedgirls#beyou#bebold#lionheart#leo
The United States (US) may stop the delivery of fifth-generation F-35 multirole jet to Turkey if Ankara persists on buying Russian S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems. It would be the strongest signal yet by Washington that Ankara cannot have both the US-made advanced aircraft and Russia’s S-400 air defense system, Reuters reported Thursday. According to the US, it would be compromising the security of Lockheed Martin aircraft if Turkey has both, the American jet and Russian missile defense system. "The S-400 is a computer. The F-35 is a computer. You don't hook your computer to your adversary's computer and that's basically what we would be doing," Katie Wheelbarger, acting assistant secretary of defense for international security affairs, told Reuters. Ankara was set to begin deployment of the Russian systems this October and was expecting the delivery of F-35 jets in November, Turkish Defense Minister, Hulusi Akar had said. The US has not taken a decision regarding stopping of the F-35s yet, but it is considering steps to halt the delivery of its aircraft to its NATO ally Turkey, the report added. “There (are) decisions that come up constantly about things being delivered in anticipation of them eventually taking custody of the planes. So there’s a lot of things in train that can be paused to send signals to them (that we’re serious),” she added, without detailing those steps. Another official however said that the US is looking at other options. “The US is seeing if it is possible to have another alternative to the F-35 engine overhaul depot somewhere in Europe, that is currently based in Eskisehir, Turkey,” he said without giving any further details. A decision to drop Turkey from the F-35 program would have broader repercussions, since Ankara helps manufacture parts for the aircraft, including components of the landing gear, cockpit displays and aircraft engines.
Two Russian Typhoon-class submarines, Arkhangelsk and the Severstal, will be rearmed and developed in order to enable them to carry 200 Kalibr missiles each. The Project 941 or Typhoon-class submarines had been withdrawn from service and kept at the dock of the Zvyozdochka Ship Repair Center in Severodvinsk slated for their subsequent disposal. “We now plan to re-equip these submarines with Oniks, Tsirkon and 200 Kalibr missiles,” TASS reported quoting Vice-Admiral Oleg Burtsev as saying Wednesday. "The dimensions of these submarines allow arming each of them with at least 200 cruise missiles," he said. “American Ohio-class submarines can carry 154 Tomahawk cruise missiles and Chinese Project 055 destroyer is capable of carrying 112 cruise missiles. But our frigates belonging to the Project 22350 can currently carry only 16 of them. Subsequent frigates will get 24 of them. It is still insufficient,” he added. Russia has also begun developing a modernized frigate under Project 22350, that is capable of carrying 48 Kalibr cruisemissiles. "The Northern Design Bureau has completed designing frigates of Project 22350M capable of carrying up to 48 Kalibr cruise missiles,” TASS quoted a source from the design bureau as saying Sunday. The Kalibr missiles were used by Russia in Syrian operations. The Kalibr is Russian group of surface ship-, submarine-launched and airborne anti-ship and coastal anti ship (AShM), land attack cruise missiles (LACM) and anti-submarine missiles. The country also plans to develop ground-launched, longer range version of the Kalibr cruise missile in 2019-2020, Sputnik quoted Russian Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu as saying in early February. The longer range version could be in excess of 310 mile range which is the limit imposed under the Intermediate Nuclear Forces (INF) treaty. #cwb#combatbarbie#theoneandonly#marine#veteran#sgt#usa#alvaradopinp#robertalvarado#pinup#art#vintage#pinupgirl#bodypositive#usmc#marines
