Thank you @mkjall for this beautiful slicing video with NARRA. Please enjoy your NARRA. . . Great knives basic to be looked after. . . This protocol that you call for use, clean, grind and store up them properly. If you hands on your knives so they will keep on amaze you time and time again. . . We advise you to always wash your kitchen knives by hand. A knife with a wooden handle will visibly get damaged and a riveted handle will eventually tear at the rivets. In addition, the handle can break because of the heat. . . Aggressive detergents can cause irreparable damage to your knife. Detergent can affect hardened steel and plastics and can leave specs of rust on the blade and leave you with dull handles. . . It doesn’t matter how careful you are, there will always come a time when you need to sharpen your knife. When you use a blunt knife you will automatically put more pressure on it, making the risk of accidents bigger. . . As a result it is a good idea to keep your knives nice and sharp. After all, they will also be much better to work with. In terms of sharpening we recommend you don’t wait until the last minute. It is easier to keep a reasonably sharp knife sharp than to get a blunt knife razor-sharp. . . #kitchenknives#cheeseandwine#chefknife#kitchenknife#chefknives#kitchenlife#pastrychef#barbeque#truffles#bladesmith#bladeforums#bbq#tomahawk#cutlery#pitmaster#sushichef#meatsweats#winetasting#winery#whiskey#chefknifenarra#saltbae#butchershop#whisky#customknives#lurefishing#fishingboat#choppingboard
This beautiful culinary set from Clive @invictaknives would be an asset to any kitchen. - 3 peas, one pod. All made from the same batch of 52100 and heat treated to 62 Rockwell, a 300mm gyutohiki, a 200 guyto and a 150 nakiri. The two larger knives started from blanks 40x200x4mm, one stock removal the other hand forged but very different outcomes. Matching handles in stabilised French hornbeam with ivory subst spacers. I've not used 52100 before so it's been interesting, I swiftly discovered that it can't be cold forged!! All available so please DM me if you are interested, I'll try to get them on my website later.
Little project tonight, a quick regrind (NOT my knife)... Amanda's Dad is a gun guy, and he asked me to sharpen this up if I could. It's made from a side plate off a Browning .30 cal machine gun. I have no idea who made it, and normally I don't mess with other people's work. But I just thinned the bevel out, and treated it like I would a scandi grind. I didn't want to go any further and grind into the stamping. Of course it won't hold this edge, but it's sharp for the gun case. 😉🙂 #bladesmith#knifemaking#customknives#handmade#handcrafted#browning#30cal#gun
