"Light and shadow exist on the same coin. One cannot live without the other." Do you ever think about this world and how we have gotten to where we are today? I think about this life and this world, and the people. I think about how we can find understanding in one another, whether that's through a dialogue in music, language, writing, speaking. All of us are members of the human race, we are all connected through the very nature of us existing and being alive. Perhaps we have forgotten what makes us similar, and instead we have chosen to only see each other's differences. We cannot see a light unless there is darkness, and a shadow cannot exist without the presence of light. If we are to bring about peace and understanding of one another we must seek first to understand before being understood, and we must have the courage and faith to see the good in people and to respond with kindness and love. Maybe I'm just speaking to myself but at some point in our lives we have to realize that negativity will not solve any of the problems we face in the world and in our lives, even if we feel good in the short term. We only have a precious amount of time in our lives, I want to use that time to help this world with my life and to show that one person can make a difference in the world. 👤💭 #johnnywhatagentleman
Every morning I jump out of bed and step on a landmine. The landmine is me. After the explosion, I spend the rest of the day putting the pieces together. Ray Bradbury, Zen in the Art of Writing . . . . . . . . . . .
