When you take time for yourself, you can re-approach with clarity of mind and creativity that may not have been sparked if you never take a break. 3. When you take time for yourself, you have more energy to pursue your goals. You aren’t as worn or burned out. 4. When you tired and worn out, your motivation is decreased. I have learned so much about myself on this fitness journey over the last 3.5 years. The first is to just get started. When you are starring at what others accomplish and comparing yourself to them it can be discouraging. But remember they started somewhere also and fitness is a journey not a sprint. If you asked me over 3 years ago that I would be able to jog the answer would be no. If you asked me if I could plank for any substantial time the answer would be no. If you asked me if I would be using 70lbs on my hips for hip bridges I would never have believed you. And today in my 90 minute orange theory class I hit a PR for my fastest all out yet!!!! And that’s just the beginning. I have learned that my body can and will do so much and can pushed harder than I ever thought. I stand by this workout 100% and I love the support that the staff offers! I love dropping in all over the country! Today I am truly proud of myself for what I have done in the last week. 6 orange theory classes out of 8 days with the last one being a 90 minute class. Broken foot, herniated back, nerve damage and depression equaled not caring about my health. I found a pic one day and was just blown away (47lbs difference in these pics) I was always an athlete and always cared- what happened?? It was that moment I decided to care again, to wake up and get back to being healthy. It's not about getting a pat or high five it is sharing about self care, putting yourself first and pushing through. I am a work in progress and Lord knows my ups and downs. Širom Balkana, ljudi su gladni duševne hrane. Uslijed egzistencijalne borbe, svijest o unutrašnjim potrebama je zapostavljena i zbog toga ljudi postaju vječito frustrirani, nezadovoljni, depresivni i mrzovoljni. I used to call myself pathetic online. Those memories on Facebook & Twitter would pop up and I’d be like.. WHY did I post that?! (I bet we be all done that am I right?!) Some of the posts would let me reflect on past friendships, relationships- the good and the bad. But.. there was this one one I saw from YEARS ago, talking like back when I was 14. I called myself pathetic. Maybe it was over a breakup, a friendship, who knows. But looking back I was always SO damn depressed, sad and angry.. every day.. for no reason. It makes me so sad because I was so freaking little and young. If you ever feel alone, “pathetic”, sad, afraid... I want you to know that you are NOT any of those things! We all go through our own shit, but we are on this freaking planet for a REASON and a GOOD reason.
