I could have just skipped this morning! I could have slept an extra hour! I could have done a lot of things! But my mind kept telling me, “You got this! You feel so much better after!” And you know what?! I crushed cardio day without modifying which is HUGE for me! Endurance and stamina levels are increasing! And I also feel like I’m ready to crush Wednesday! Trust what your body is telling you! Trust what your mind is telling you and push through even when you want to skip it! Your body will thank you! Still remember colleagues telling me how unhealthy my coffee with grass-fed butter and MCT oil was, while they were eating toast bunnies with cheddar, ham, mayonnaise and ketchup. ⠀⠀ Research has supported for years that cholesterol and saturated fat are not your heart’s enemy; industrial fat products, the vegetable oils, are. ⠀⠀ I'm guessing that if there’s something you and your family might be eating every day that scientists already know is deadly, you’d like to know about it now, not thirty years from now. ⠀⠀ Decades ago, scientist conclusively proved that an artificial fat molecule present in margarine, as well as all kinds of other vegetable oil products for sale in every grocery store, was deadly and was very likely causing disease, growth defects and premature mortality. ⠀⠀ Industrial fat products like vegetable oils are toxic to your arteries because they contain delicate polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) that are particularly prone to oxidative damage. Processing distorts the fatty acids in vegetable oil so they can no longer assume the typical five- or six-sided geometry. Our enzymes pick up these distorted fatty acids and then can’t let them go, which hampers cellular function so profoundly it can kill your cells. ⠀⠀ And if you eat enough trans fats, cellular dysfunction will impair so many cells in so many tissues that the cumulative effects will disrupt basic functions, like blood circulation or your body’s ability to fight infection and eventually kill you.
