Crazy how saying yes to something way out of my comfort zone, has brought me friendships I couldn’t imagine being without... Can’t believe this moment was from 4 years ago... I met this beautiful lady in person after watching and listening to her online for about half a year😉 Sommer played a key role in helping me to develop belief in myself, belief that I can do hard things, be good at more than one thing and that I’m worthy of success. Her friendship helped to open up my heart more, trust more and face my fears stronger! I still don’t like that last part, LOL, but truth be told... I become a better person every time I do! Her passion for helping others is so evident in everything she does and says, you can’t help but want to be around her as much as possible! She helped ignite my own passion for wanting to be a inspiration to others to live their best life with more JOY! She’s been a mentor to me from a far and in my heart, she’s a close friend I am so very grateful to have in my life! Don’t ya love it how we can virtually make friends with people we wouldn’t have otherwise met in our daily life?!?! I’ve found it to be a blessing!

But that’s all okay, right? - For the new year, I’ve been reviewing a little bit my way of journaling and getting organised. Three or four years ago I’ve been starting my bullet journal after decluttering a lot, dropping down my thousand note book to only one journal with everything I could think of. Building a system that works for me has been an awesome journey. I now understand way more how my mind works, and what are the best ways for me to be organised on a long term basis. However I feel my system now is not fitting me anymore, as my life’s projects and activities are changing. I love it here. I’m surrounded by childlike wonder...BUT it’s getting cold and I do miss a few things being in the middle of farm country. Decisions, desicions. I often get asked how I decide the where of my #airbnblife? It’s an easy and hard system depending on how you see it. I ask questions. I sit still. I trust the answer will come — that’s the hard part. I have faith versus deciding just for the point of having an answer that makes others feel better. So today I looked at the map and said my favorite prayer...then put on warm walking clothes and prepared to listen.

Let me tell you the 1,000,000 excuses why I can’t”....😔 (sigh) with all that talk about the circumstances that got you here you reinforce THE PROBLEM and you stay there ⬇️ limited by the prison you created👉🏼👈🏼 - Instead catch yourself in the act. How you ask? It doesn’t feel good. You feel shitty thinking and talking about it. You feel sad, down, depressed, overwhelmed. You feel defeated, anxiety gets provoked, loneliness and frustration arise. It’s an ugly place to be, so don’t chill there🥶 _ This requires you to build self awareness. The grown up stuff that we have to learn since tantrums, asking 10k times, & crying for something doesn’t get you what you want anymore. Maybe it never did maybe you stole it, cheated others for it, or “suffered” for it. Whatever the case what’s the story you are telling yourself about your life? 🙀 - Understanding this about yourself is what YOU really want. This causes you to evolve and see things through a new perspective which brings happiness, joy, and that empowered feeling that YOU can do anythiiiing 🥰💪🏽 - It’s being more efficient and effective with your time, energy, and focus. This gives you better quality relationships, values to live by, and empowers you to live a life you create. This is the exact success you crave 🙌🏽 so now what? - Your life will either be created by design or by default. You can stay “stuck” or you can rewrite EXACTLY what YOU want! BEING PRESENT & BEING ENOUGH 》 A gentle reminder from me to myself, and you, to always be fully present, because I kind forgot it a lot lately. . That picture has been taken on my last day in Philippines two months ago, when I freed myself from social media for a while and went (almost) fully present in the world. But still, I was very often thinking about the next steps and how to organise my shit together, etc. I would love being back to that day to tell myself to not think with my head, but to only feel with my heart what the day will bring! The rest will follow... . How challenging it is to appreciate every single moment without looking to the past/future too much? Since the beginning of The Mojo Soul adventure, I feel I am loosing a little bit both my foot from the ground and always trying to reach the next steps before even landing. But that's ok, right? It is called growth mindset and productivity aka willing always more, more, more. Or maybe, better to take our time? . I find it a little bit tricky sometimes so, as a good tips to share with you, I've been reading #thepowerofnow from Eckhart Tolle : a gold gem to read and read again if you ever struggled with living in the now. . For those of you who don’t know, I’m a huge Dallas Cowboys fan 🏈 So when my BF told me we’d go to the playoff divisional round game, I was SO excited! Arming myself with uplifting & calming essential oils 😉 🙏 we headed to L.A. Saturday afternoon. . . The L.A. Coliseum was sold out for the game, so probably the reason why my cellular internet wasn’t working. I was getting frustrated because I couldn’t ‘go live’ on Instagram and post on FB... and kept looking at my phone, refreshing the Apps. . . My BF then said something so simple yet so important. He said, don’t worry about it... you’re missing the game... the reason we’re here. Enjoy the moment and be present. . I put my phone in my purse and thought, he’s right, I can post this later... it’s not critical that my friends in social media land see my posts this moment. From that moment, I was fully present in experiencing the game and enjoying all the excitement... and of course being there with my ❤️ man! Being present and in the moment is something I want to make sure I carry into my day-to-day. One way I do this is to be mindful of my breath. (For Brian and I it’s 7pm shut down) This one has been amazing for my relationship with my husband. We both check our phones one last time at 7pm then they go away for the rest of the night. This is our time. We talk, watch our shows together, laugh and instead of connecting with everyone on our phones we are connecting with each other. Total relationship game changer! Do you ever look across the room and just feel that aching feeling that you just miss your babies? 💖 I stay home, and get to be with my girls thanks to hustling and working hard at home. But life gets busy and there are times I look at my daughters and I just long for them. 💜 Life whizzes by so fast! They say not to blink. This is Halen at 10 days old and now she’s going to turn 5 this year and start kindergarten. 😳#holymolymamaisnotready So I decided I need to really be intentional about the days I have home with her. My friend wrote a blog about mommy daughter dates in Austin and I plan to use them as a checklist this year to spend quality time with my firstborn. What do you do to soak up the days with your precious babes?
S A N K A L P A⠀ .⠀ Are you still on the New Years resolution wagon? ⠀ If you're not, don't worry this will help you too.⠀ .⠀ ⠀ Whatever your Sankalpa (or resolution) is, inevitably there will be something that might might try to tempt you away from sticking to it.⠀ .⠀ ⠀ When this happens, notice it and STOP.⠀ S - Stop⠀ T - Take some deep breaths⠀ O - Observe your breath for a few moments⠀ P - Proceed with your day⠀ .⠀ The key here is to notice what's going on and then change what might be a negative habit into a positive one.⠀ . The more often you can come into the present moment and observe what's going on, the easier it will be to stick at your resolution, and if you're already off the wagon, then why not get back on and give this a go.
How do you show up in relationship? 1. Show up When there is a wedge between the two of you, do you lean in or go away? Its easy enough to feel fear and withdraw to a place we feel comfortable. But fear is required in the alchemy of courage. Get clear about what you are afraid of and address it with your partner. ..... 2. Pay attention When we make the conscious choice to live in the moment, be present and slow down, it makes the difference between triggered reaction and loving response. Pay attention to your body, what does the energy inside want to do? What does it want to say? We all have the potential to use language that will caress our partners to come closer, or we can use our words to stagger our partners backwards. Ask yourself before you say something to your partner: is this a loving response? If the answer is no, then take the time you need to come back, so you can caress them. ..... 3. Tell the truth This is simple enough but isn’t always easy. Telling the truth requires clarity. I have certainly been guilty of subtle manipulation to get what I want, slight-of-hand- with-the-truth because of fear of an uncomfortable response or fear of losing relationship. But when I started getting clear about what I wanted in relationship with my partner and communicating my desires directly and truthfully, an entirely new world opened up. ..... 4. Don’t be attached to the results When we have the courage to share our truth, it doesn’t always feel good. Our partner’s might not like it. They might get angry, they might feel hurt, they might shut down. To me, this is about letting go of control. It also requires showing up and being present with your truth. I want to answer Yes to the following question: Was I authentic in sharing my truth and did I use my words in my best loving caress? If so, the outcome will be exactly as it is meant to be. Accept the result.
