Big message here 👆🏻. As a small business owner or any career path you are on, the word ‘productive’ can be haunting. I swear sometimes my phone is connected to my hip ( my husband will say hand haha) I never want to miss a message/text from a client.. 🛑 Any guesses what these symptoms are all a sign of? 🧐 If you guessed STRESS, you are correct! 🤯 Chronic stress can be extremely damaging for your body, mind and spirit! Stress works something like this: 1. The alarm stage ⏰ When stress levels rise, your body goes into panic mode and produces adrenaline. The rest of your body is alerted and gives you emergency “fuel” and energy so you can react! Your body doesn’t know the difference between a big stress at work and being chased by a bear, so it panics as if planning for the extreme. 2. The adaptive/resistance stage. 😷 Your body attempts to return to a stable state, but if your stress reactions are triggered too often, the body remains on high alert which lowers immunity and begins to have damaging effects on the body. 3. The Exhaustion stage. 😴 When the body learns to function in this hyperactive state, your resources are depleted and the body begins to burnout. This begins the process of not being able to cope with the high demands stress puts on the body which results often in the symptoms shown by the image. •• the good news?? •• You can fight stress with some intentional choices!
