🚨 PR ➡️ 10 à 120kg ✔️. . L’objectif de la séance était de valider 3x10 à 120kg, mais tout ne s’est pas passé comme prévu 🙄 Conditions d’entraînement du jour : malade + très peu dormi les dernières nuits + mon spotter officiel @lui_relli absent... . 🔹Première série : 10 à 120kg ✔️ (À la septième je dois dire à mon spotter de ne pas toucher la barre). 🔹Deuxième série : 8 à 120kg (n’ayant pas l’habitude d’assurer au Bench, je me place plus près du rack pour l’aider à sortir la barre... résultat je tape la plupart des reps dans le rack et dois arrêter la série à 8rep). 🔹Troisième série : 6 à 120kg (j’essaie de me débrouiller tout seul, je me fais mal aux cervicales en sortant la barre et je décide d’arrêter après 6rep). . Je suis convaincu qu’en conditions optimales j’aurais pu valider mon 3x10rep, je sens que plus le niveau augmente, plus les détails peuvent impacter la performance (même le spotter pour le passage de barre). . ⚠️ Point positif : j’ai raté cette perf 3 fois en 2018, jusqu’à faire un blocage psychologique dessus... et maintenant elle devient ma barre en série 😈, progressant de plus de 7,5kg en série de 10 rep comparé à mon dernier cycle 🔥 . 🔹Semaine prochaine ➡️ je pense poursuivre avec un 3x8 à 122,5kg. . I got really good feedback on last week’s Pendlay Row video, so thank you so much for all the love, constructive feedback, oh and the likes because that got me hella exposure, anyway, that’s not what I’m here for... . I’ve been loving this movement lately, I’m not sure if there is a technical name for it but I’ve noticed a huge difference in the way my shoulders feel when I bench. I was getting some shoulder joint niggles before and bench just felt a little awkward at times. . I know I neglect them but I’m making an effort to correct that this year. It’s kinda strange that as you get older and you stay in this game (lifting things) you begin to appreciate more and more being injury free and move freely. . I urge you to do this VERY LIGHT. From coaching 1:1 females, I have found that even the lightest setting on a cable machine can be too heavy but you can replace it w/ a mobility band. This could also be a nice warm up movement for a push session (although, keep the intensity at moderate, you don’t want to fry your shoulders before you begin your session). . In case you didn’t know, you can save this video for later. I know some of you have begun to create little playlists of some of my more educational videos, feel free to do that, you can even section different videos to different topics, for example, this could go under a “shoulder exercise” section. . Pin squats from first workout of the week: 370x1 at RPE 8, 280x8 at RPE 8.  Current block starts the week with high volume pin squats.  My squat rack pins can either be set slightly above parallel for me or way below.  I've had trouble with unnecessarily burying my squats, so I'm trying slightly above parallel.  Technically 370 is a PR, but I'm guessing that's due to reduced ROM.  It's been really challenging doing these on day 1 (RPE 8 single followed by 8x4 at 70%, followed by same sets/reps for pause sumo deadlift), then doing heavy back squat singles the next day. Weight is currently fluctuating around 300-305 lbs. My body seems to wanna stay around this weight so I'm not complaining. I was thinking of maybe doing a minor weight cut but I dont wanna risk losing strength. I cleaned up my diet really well but since then, body is holding here. Late workout due to the holiday and hubs having an md appointment. At least the gym wasn’t super crowded (but crowded enough that I had to wait a second for a rack) and I got my lift on in good time. I forgot my headphones at home naturally so it was a bit boring but overall it felt really good. Bench press feels better with weight oddly enough. Squats feel fantastic. Bent over rows are more difficult and I’m hoping I’m doing them correctly although it feels like I may be use my back too much. More research needed. Also caught my reflection pre row and had to admire my arms. You can see muscle! 😮 Maybe I’ll get a picture this week if the gym isn’t super crowded 😂 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I am using the “StrongLifts” app which will be linked in my bio under Love Links>Apps.
