We’re adding this week’s Pint Night feature to our “Pilsners that impress” folder for future reference because it’s certainly one we’ll be drinking often. @wickedweedbrewing's Uncle Rick’s Pilsner is a subtle but exciting pils with a biscuity nose, zesty hop flavor, and a classic bit of spice that lingers on the backend. A primo pilsner for your imbibing enjoyment. Get one on Thursday and get the pint to take home!

So what with my life changing around a fair bit about a couple of months ago I haven't picked up a pencil in about... well two months actually. . BUT even though I've not really done anything creative in this time it's been enormously valuable still - my head's much less cluttered, much calmer and now it's ready to do stuff again. Even if the stuff is a little bit shit at first. . As creatives it's easy to feel guilty about taking time off from being creative - like you're not trying hard enough or something - but it might just be exactly the thing you need. . #lettering#letteringartist#handlettering#handdrawnfont#calligrabesties#calligranerd#sketch#rest#takeabreak#beer#ale#craftbeer#beerstagram
Advent Day 11 Wiper and True Brewery - Milkshake - Stout - 4.8%ABV What a treat for day 11! A brand new brewery I'd not come across down in Cheddar, England has thrown up one of the most flavoursome milk stouts I've had in some time. Now, apparently Bristol is the home of Milk Stouts and from this I can see why. Huge chocolate flavours come through in the malts making it almost chocolate milk with an alcoholic percentage. An absolute treat! The beer pours a dark, deep brown with minimal head as expected. Served out of the box without refrigeration was just right. Certainly not as pungent as some others out there (e.g. Brew York's Tonkoko) but a nice taste, albeit a little thin. The vanilla aroma adds to the experience and the beer is an all round delight. Available in the UK from Waitrose £2.50/bottle https://www.waitrose.com/ecom/products/wiper-and-true-milk-shake-bristol/889631-663332-663333 ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The face you make when Nana buys you not one, not two, but TWELVE 1️⃣2️⃣ #whoopeecushions 💨 and it’s #tacotuesday 🌮!!! Thanks to @stonebrewing for making an awesome juicy IPA and to @amantivino_morristown for passing it along to me. You guys both ROCK 🕺🏿!
Always dangerous to go to the grocery store when you’re hungry, or to a brewery when you’re thirsty. Got enough Juicy Jay to hold me over for a bit. Bonus: free Koosie with three crowlers. All set for my own personal @3beersdownpod 😂 @legionbrewingsouthpark
Check out the new arrivals from @eviltwinbrewing. F is for Fruit Salad, a Gose brewed with blueberry, blackberry, strawberry, peach & blood orange. Three IPAs, 2 with names that are just waaaaaay too long. Saigon Scooter Selfie is the latest in the Two Evil series with @tworoadsbrewing. It’s a Vietnamese-Style Coffee Stout with brown sugar and cream extract.
This Wednesday we are releasing a new beer we are super excited for you to taste. 🌀Mental Drift🌀NEIPA, this beer carries notes of ripe strawberry and cantaloupe in the aroma followed by a zesty citrus flavor profile. The term “jam on toast” popped into our minds as we drank this for the first time. Enjoy!
Finally had the chance to check out @nonsuchbeer’s beautiful taproom this weekend and I, of course, could not resist taking photos of my beer with the ceiling art installation! 💁🏻♀️🍻 #exchangedistrict#onlyinthepeg#firstfridayswpg#exploremb @firstfridayswinnipeg @the_exchange_winnipeg @tourismwinnipeg @travelmanitoba
So I can’t help but admit that every time I’ve tried Ma from @treehousebrewco I immediately think of the eponymous song on Girls’ 2011 classic Father, Son, Holy Ghost. That might be a really cheezy justification for a record pairing but y’know what’s not cheezy? Reviewing an amber ale. That’s bold and daring ‘cause no one ever shouts out amber ales and they’re often seen as a milquetoast style. I wouldn’t go so far as to suggest a similar dismissal of this band but I bet you haven’t been super inclined to check and see whether their sophomore record holds up so this is sounding more exhilarating and potentially polarizing than lame I hope. Either way, onwards. . So I am gonna say something to the effect of “this is the best amber ale I’ve ever had” because I don’t tend to have a lot of them and can’t see that being undermined in the near future. The secret here has a lot to do with hops, which bring a bright citrus accent to a style that isn’t known for such frills. That means if you’re snagging one of these ya gotta drink it fresh. None of this “oh it doesn’t matter it’s all malt anyway”. That’s not true, you’ll regret it. To be fair the malt does a lot of work too and its rich, earthy caramel notes are expertly interwoven with the pine and resin flavours from the buds. It finishes crisp and dry with a tight, foamy carbonation that provides further backing vocals for the slightly spicy notes that make this beer great. It’s all tied together with that classic soft Treehouse yeast character that makes this a crushable (for real) and exemplary amber. Seek it out, I’m serious! . It compliments the record beautifully, as Girls employ an ingredient of their own that’s oft-unexpected in good indie rock and that is shameless sincerity; earnest unabashedness that leads Chris Owens to sing about his mom on at least two songs, falling in love on at least six songs, and being annihilated or throwing up while looking for
