Finally bought some shelving and organised the brewery. Looking much better and will be a lot easier to find things. Currently the beers we have fermenting are our Foraged Fuits apple cider and Smoke Signals porter. #organised#brewery#cider#porter
Fury &Son Double IPA. Smelt and looked good out of the can. There was a taste I could quite pick but it wasn’t offensive. Good mix of hops and malt. At 8.6% abv it’s not the strongest dipa but one you could have a few of. #beernlife
Maltgarden Sounds Like A Chocolate (10%): What! Aroma is like pistachio ice cream. Soooo lovely and weird! The taste is just as great. You really can feel the brewers love to the craft. (The brewers were originally at Rockmill, but left due to trouble with the owner). Are you heading for #ølfestivalen today, make sure to check out this amazing beer at the Ninkasira stand. Beer style: Imperial Porter
Chasing Mirrors Through a Haze •• Bright, well balanced IPA from @wylam_brewery - big juicy tropical aromas, breaking into an orange, mid-lively fizz, retaining a little white head •• Flavours comprise more bitterness than the aroma anticipates, sharp grapefruit, grassy and slightly drying mouth, little bit of orange juice sweetness, some peppery spice •• Hits that nice bold hop profile for a mid strength IPA, 7.1% becomming fairly full-on and intense by the end, not one to session but not a pallette wrecker considering the melee of hop additions •• Citra, Centennial, Chinook, Simcoe & Mosaic
@alch3mistb33r - Heady Topper DIPA 8% 〰️ A beer named after the brewery’s love of all headwear related things. 〰️ The design: A geography teacher drinks a glass of dandelion and burdock whilst wearing an elaborate bonnet made of lambs wool and hops. 〰️ The taste: Grapefruit, satsumas, cantaloupe melon, pineapple, pine resins, burnt toast, marmalade and lots of big bold bitter hops. Think Punk IPA but more refined and more hype. 〰️ The rating: 🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩🎩 [7/10]
This was my second from @beerguerrilla yesterday, initially I didn’t enjoy this as much as Tastes Like Citra, but this was because Tasty Like Nelson wasn’t as explosive as the Citra keeping the more subtle Nelson Sauvin (Kiwi Variant), hostage. However, when I got half way through Tasty Like Nelson it started to break through and shine brightly emitting slight dank and funky soft fruits, pine and lime. This was a more subtle and sophisticated affair and for that reason I ended up enjoying the Nelson affair much more. So let’s cut to the chase... . @cloudwaterbrew - Tasty Like Nelson - DIPA - Nelson Sauvin, Kiwi variant - 8% ABV . . . Poured similar to the Tastes Like Citra with a slightly darker murkier custard body that was softly carbonated supporting a foam top. . Mouthfeel was slightly thicker than TLC but by no means was it thick or pillowy soft in the gob. There’s was a twang of fresh hops but not as upfront as TLC with soft carbonation. . Funky dank pine and soft stoned fruits and tangerine aroma. . Palate follows aroma with subtle funky dank🌲,🍑, tangerine and lime. Taste is inherently subtle as most Nelson Sauvin hop beers I’ve had but the gooseberry and dryness is somewhat lost by bolder tasting notes like pine, peach and tangerine but saying that, didn’t detract from the overall enjoyment and on this rare occasion enjoyed this over some TLC.🧐 Finished on a sweetish and ever so slightly dry finish that hid the ABV well. . #scorepour 4.25/5 . . . #cloudwater#tastylikenelson#beerguerilla#dipa#iipa#imperialipa#willbeeringitall#beerwanker#freshbeer#beerreview#beer#beerphotography#instabeer#instacraft#beeroftheday#beerporn#hophead#crafbeernotcrapbeer#beerlovers#craftnotcrap#lovecraftbeer#beerblog#craftbeer#beersnob#beernerd#hophead
War Money Freedom • 6.4% • @obrotherbrewing • A new brewery for me but I do like me a West Coast IPA. Pours dark amber, earthy on the nose. Taste is a bit sweet for the style. I’ll be honest, while drinking it I was asking myself if it’s meant to taste like this. It’s earthy, mineral, slightly cardboardy and just not “popping”. Basically, not the typical sticky, weedy, tropical WCIPA I was expecting. I have a DIPA by them which looks a lot better so I’m reserving judgment for now.
Couldn’t decide if I wanted a beer or a wine to kick off this BEAUTIFUL Sydney Saturday, so I settled for both || @beerfarm / @ls.merchants Berlinion Blanc. You guess it, a Berliner Weisse with Sauvignon Blanc grapes 🍇 || a tart little beer wine hybrid with surprisingly vinous qualities coming through especially on the finish. It’s zippy, it’s refreshing. I get lots of lime and passion fruit pulp as well as subtle white peach vibes with a crisp dry finish. Would again! 🍻
Cracked open a bottle of my lambic inspired, spontaneously fermented sour tonight! @shoe_5_3 and I brewed this beer as more of a proof of concept and nicknamed it “For Science”. We trusted in the process and it went from being stinky, under fermented wort to a beer that very much resembles Belgian lambic! It was inoculated in a makeshift coolship and aged on oak for about a year, it has a refreshing tartness and plenty of funk. It’s far from perfect, but I am so proud of this beer and excited for next year’s “batch 2”. #sourbeer#homebrew#lambic
Look, I did find a better way to end my trip to #philly! With another beer from @yardsbrew. Yards Signature IPA pours a dark golden brown. Upfront fragrance was earthy and dank with hints of pine. Mouthfeel was full and creamy - this was a well carbonated beer. Upfront taste was malty and slightly bitter with the beer becoming more bitter as it rested. Lots of famous signatures make up part of Philadelphia’s history. Yards Signature IPA is a nice addition to that story. #yardsbrewing#yardssignatureipa#drinklocal#philadelphia ==================================== Brewery - Yards Brewing Co Location - Philadelphia Beer - Yards Signature IPA Style - IPA ABV - 7% ====================================
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #toØl#1tonoflingonberries
Today we spent some time in Niagara-On-The-Lake, and we finally made it to @theexchangebrewery to taste their exceptional Foreign Extra Stout 🍻 What’s your fave warm weather dark beer? - 📷: @liquidxhappiness
There’s nothing better to ease the pain of a transcontinental flight than a pre-flight Pale Ale. Fortunately for me, there’s a @yardsbrew in #philadelphiainternationalairport. Philadelphia Pale Ale pours a slightly opaque gold with citrusy head notes. Floral notes also showed up as the beer rested. The mouthfeel was full, slightly tart, and creamy. The taste is super citrusy with a crisp, clean finish. What better way to end my trip to #philly. #yardsbrewing#philadelphiapaleale#drinklocal#philadelphia ==================================== Brewer - Yards Brewing Co Location - Philadelphia Beer - Philadelphia Pale Ale Style - Pale Ale ABV - 4.6% ====================================
Canyon Cream Ale by @crowpeakbrewing 💥Defining characteristic: crisp💥 Gorgeous golden color along with a crisp bite makes this, one very enjoyable brew. A good cream ale should never be over looked. There’s that inherit uniqueness to the ale/lager mash-up that I really enjoy. Particularly in the warm, summer months. This beer, made for a perfect grill mate which always gets bonus points in my book. One of the better ones from Crow Peak. 🍻 . 🍺 - Cream Ale ➡️ - 5% ABV / 10 IBU #craftbeer#drinkcraft#drinklocal#beergameisstrong#popatop
#4878 High Road Bronan (Canada) Final beer for the night at the telly, this is a beer that so many people have told me about, so I was stoked to find it in the NOTL LCBO tonight. Looks like it’s brewed locally. This bad boy is a 7.1% Vermont IPA from Ontario, it pours exactly how you’d expect but with a shit ton of floaties, fruity nose, tangy, tropical, malty, smooth, a little dry with a dusty, lingering bitter finish. Solid, would love to have this on tap as it may be different. Get it in ya.
¡Viernes de cata! ¡Porque es viernes y porque es rico tomar! Jajjajaj🍻 #girlsdrinkbeer Aunque ando patiperriando, no lo he olvidado (otsea no podría)✌🏼. Ah! Ultra importante, la conseguí en @nexobeer . Disfrute su viernes🤓🦄.
