Backbend with Blocks.⠀ ⠀ Mentally backbends require a lot of patience and kindness as we are working with a part of the body that can make us feel quite vulnerable. They also have a tendency to elevate your mood. Backbends require a willingness to open up but a discipline to not go too deep.⠀ ⠀ Energetically backbends can be very freeing and liberating but with them can come some vulnerability as it can allow emotions close to our heart to come up, be released or stirred up. Eka pada viparrita dandasana. In Sanskrit, “kha” means aperture/ hole/ emptiness/ axle hole of a wheel. Sukha is  joy. Dukha is suffering. In Rig Veda, Sukha denotes that which moves swiftly like the wheel of a chariot perhaps. We are vessels of both. When we are happy, doesn’t time move real fast and when we are sad, the opposite? The wheel turns, we have both in our lives, and our practice is a way to reduce or work with our suffering or to cultivate joy. Both are inevitable,  both are not constant, both are as “real”. This pose caused both.... the moment of lift, a release, the work toward it, challenging. And is a work in progress. Love all that it brought up physically and emotionally. And the few cuss words that emerged. 😂  The front of the thighs, and the shoulders need to be stretched with more attention and time, and the glutes need work and I do have some material to work there for sure! 😬
I read a quote that said “The things that bring you the most energy are probably your greatest strengths. Live in a way that celebrates them.” And I couldn’t agree more. Yoga is one of those things for me. These were taken before a 75-minute hot power class lead by two ambassadors from the Africa Yoga Project. It’s an amazing feeling to be a part of a community where you can be yourself, show up without the need to look good (e.g. second pic, no makeup), and just sweat out all of the bullshit together, while trying to make a difference in the world. 📸: @nymania

ЯК ПОЛЮБИТИ ТРЕНУВАННЯ❤️ ⠀ Кожному з нас важливо займатися тією фізичної активністю, яка вам подобається. Саме тоді будуть результати і у вас після тренування буде хороший настрій, а замість втоми - багато енергії. ⠀ Що я пропоную зробити вже зараз:  1️⃣ Визначіть для себе які тренування подобаються саме вам. Танці, йога, спортзал або біг. Круто те, що можна займатися не одним, а декількома видами фізичною активністю і тим самим покращувати свої результати і урізноманітнювати свої тренування.  2️⃣ Складіть графік тренувань. Дуже просто і чітко. В понеділок і четвер у мене спортзал. Середа і пятниця - йога. В суботу я йду на танці у @mixstyle.if  А в неділю катаюся у парку на ровері.  3️⃣ Мотивуйте себе винагородою. Тренуюсь місяць без пропусків, дарую собі нову гарну форму. Тренуюсь 3 місяці без компромісів - фітнес-браслет. Неважливо що, можна навіть плаття або книжку. ⠀ 4️⃣ Запишіться на марафон. Біговий марафон або схуднення. Тренери та учасники марафону будуть для вас шаленої мотивацією. Тоді ви точно будете тренуватись. Можете на мій марафон записатися, він ефективний. ⠀ 5️⃣ Ведіть
