HOW CAN SALT THERAPY HELP? Salt therapy kills the bacteria in your respiratory system by drying out all the germs and bacteria. Salt is anti-inflammatory so it helps to reduce the swelling in the whole respiratory tract, it has mucolytic effects by loosening of the excessive mucus, salt speeds up the elimination of toxins. Also helps to remove pathogen agents like airborne pollen from the linen of respiratory system. Salt therapy will reduce IgE levels by reducing the inflammation and the mast cell response within the bronchi, the quality and function of breathing improve. This leads to the balancing of the other bodily system. As a result, the frequency of the acute asthma attacks and the need for medication will substantially decrease. This means that you will experience more energy, better sleep patterns, and better strength and resilience to everyday infections. Using our salt rooms you will notice that your breathing is less difficult, you bring up phlegm and mucus, and your nose is runny. #asthma#breatheasier#asthmaattack#recovery#asthmasucks#asthmauk#nosteroids#inhaler#salttherapy#natural#giveitago#firstsessionfree#hampshirelife#hampshirebusiness#basingstoke#thesaltloungbasingstoke
Treatment for my severe brittle asthma today my respiratory team are awesome. Twelve years having Omalizumab injections after eight asthma attacks in one week left me on life support and in a coma. Eight months in hospital thinking each day would be my last seems like yesterday. I never take life for granted each day is a blessing. I am luck to have such a supporting family and friends 💕
A late #medalmonday today 🏅 My Chesterfield half medal, probably the hardest I’ve worked on a race day to get to the finish 🏁 As I mentioned yesterday my asthma has been bad lately, probably shouldn’t of ran, but has calmed down since yesterday 👌🏼Yoga today has also helped with my breathing and stretching those tight muscles 🧘🏼♂️ hopefully can get back to normal this week 🏃🏽♂️ • • • • • #runner#running#asthmaticrunner#asthmauk#asthma#runr @asthmauk
Redbrick Chesterfield Half today 🏃🏽♂️ being my home town half I always look forward to it. Unfortunately though my asthma has been terrible this last two weeks and I’ve had time off ill with it 😷 This meant a slow and steady run and not the race I had hoped 😩 2:04:40 on the watch and a very disappointing performance. Will I ever get under 1:50? Maybe next year, silver lining is I can still finish a Half marathon 🤣 Also my first half representing Clowne Road Runners. The club has helped no end and are such a great supportive group. Loving it 😬 Great medal and T-shirt by redbrick which I am sure I’ll post on medalmonday after sleeping on my result. • • • • • #runner#running#asthmaticrunner#asthmauk#asthma#runr#saucony#tribesports#nikerunning#runderwear#garmin#chesterfield#chesterfieldhalfmarathon
I FINISHED #amsterdammarathon2018. Never thought for the last 4 months I would even make the start line after having to stop all my arthritis drugs after my liver function went bananas. I have only managed to run 60 miles in the last 3 months (and 26.2 of them were today!). So pleased to make the start line and actually finish. Chronic disease doesn’t have to end your life - it just has to be managed. It most certainly is a PW but I am more proud of this one than the preceeding 4 😊 #psoriaticarthritis#adrenalinsufficiency#amsterdammarathon2018#asthmauk
It may not look like a huge accomplishment but when I injured my knee a couple of weeks ago I thought it would take me weeks to get back out running. I only ran for 20mins this morning but I felt like I could've done more. Hopefully this weekend I'll be able to get back to running outdoors again. Very happy with my recovery so made myself a delicious brekkie #londonmarathon2019#marathontraining#running#runnergirl#runner#asthmauk#recovery
Today was a weird day but a good one! . I had an asthma episode - I don’t think it qualifies as an attack! . Talked a lot about... . Then did the best run, I’ve ever done, despite being unsure, if even be able to run . So all in all, a good day!
