📍LONG POST📍 Everyone is in the gym for different reasons, some it’s the social aspect, others want to physically change/be better, meet their significant other, and there’s some of us who use it as an outlet. Before I got in to the gym I used to use food and alcohol as an outlet...now people ask why I train the way I do, why I’m so obsessed with my training...I’m a highly anxious human being (high functioning anxiety)! There’s a lot that is behind it, but a run down, I don’t like to say no when someone asks something of me, or if I can take on the task instead of them, I will...doesn’t matter if I don’t sleep, don’t eat, etc I’m a people pleaser. Which leads to having an insane schedule, where you’re constantly running/going, and in return causes fatigue (both mentally and physically), another fallout from that is irritability and frustration. Always having a million thoughts a minute, OCD (if you know me well you know I’m a clean and organizational freak!!), no idea how to take compliments, punctual to the point it drives others crazy....the list could go on. Just because someone appears pulled together on the outside, it might be an entirely different battle on the inside. Patience is truly helpful for those people around you because unfortunately anxiety isn’t something you can just “stop”...it’s something you can learn to cope with though. We live in a cold world, where many have forgotten how to feel. The pain has numbed hearts and tears have crystalized innocent eyes. A once warm heart has now turned cold. Everything is turning to ice. Where has the sun dissappeared? It's hard to feel the warmth when you are surrounded by frozen hearts. People no longer look into eachother's eyes. Despite having eyes, we fail to see. Despite having a heart, we fail to feel. Where is that human connection? A kind that makes a soul ache for another. A kind that makes an eye weep for another. Our problems may be as simple as a broken shoelace or having to stand in line at the supermarket. Or we may experience something far more serious, such as the loss of a job, a home, or a loved one. Either way, we often end up looking for a way to avoid our feelings instead of simply acknowledging that those feelings are painful. No one promises us that everything will go our way when we stop using. In fact, we can be sure that life will go on whether we’re using or not. We will face good days and bad days, comfortable feelings and painful feelings. But we don’t have to run from any of them any longer. We can experience pain, grief, sadness, anger, frustration—all those feelings we once avoided with drugs. We find that we can get through those emotions clean. We won’t die and the world won’t come to an end just because we have uncomfortable feelings. Not only have I felt like absolute crap these past few days, I was triggered four times this week 😢 On Valentine's Day though, Marcus made us a fort, cooked dinner and got me a cute new friend with balloons and a rose 🌹🦄🎈 I have to fight so hard to see and feel the good and joy in my life right now. Also on the cheeks or on the mouth “like a smile.” Even in the fingertips or in the legs. 2 responses said hope flutters in the ribcage or near the heart ❤️ , which reminded me of a butterfly 🦋. Hence, I drew semicircles to represent the wings of “hopeful” fluttering inside us all! I painted 8 times and the one you see is the winner ! . . EVERYTHING IRIE ❤️: this year I’ve met people I’ve admired + followed online. I’ve traveled to new places I’be made bold decisions. I’m pushing through despite discomfort. I’ve forgiven myself much quicker. I realize that life is not linear. Meaning it doesn’t flow like “step 1, step 2, step 3” it’s really a journey - a trip. some steps you will plan for. others you won’t be prepared for. but you have to move anyway. this journey is fun though! I get to see my full power and the abundance of Jah. blessings fall by my right hand. I’m flowing - I’ve never felt this free. gratitude always. I believe this.

They are no better than placebo pills & can cause significant harm! Really? Yup. The pharmaceutical industry makes a sick amount of money off these drugs. And most physicians have been duped into believing in these drugs. 🗣 The chapter on antidepressants also provides specific recommendations on how to taper off antidepressants in a way that is ok.
