💪🏼CLEANUP💪🏼 On Friday I posted the before picture of my boys’ room (See feed). AND, yes it took me over four days to post the after photo. 🤪👉🏼SWIPE. Could you use some kid-room cleanup motivation?!! 🤪😉👊🏼 I love how creative our sweeties can be AND I want to treasure that while ALSO showing them how to care for their things. SO here are motivation TIPS for this Tuesday!!! 👉🏼👉🏼1️⃣Take a before picture (so you can see evidence of your hard work later)2️⃣” Divide” the room in sections (clothes, toys, shelves). Then, empty the entire section you’re cleaning and place on the floor. I started with just the shelves. One section at a time allows for manageable success!!! 3️⃣ Decide what is trash and what doesn’t belong. 4️⃣categorize items by type/purpose 5️⃣ Put away the items in containers/storage. This will help support a toy rotation system!! 6️⃣ Donate what you don’t treasure 7️⃣ step back and take your after picture!! 8️⃣ Talk with your sweeties about how to use the “new” space. 👉🏼 AND question: do your kids play with any of your old toys from childhood?
Life is a constant series of high and lows with monotony filling the gaps in between. Here recently, I’ve been in a very low season and the main culprit seems to be my brain not always workin’ the best in the serotonin area. It’s been a rough week. But today I was reassured that one day I’m not gonna have to worry about feelin’ lousy and lacking energy and focus. I don’t have to worry about the future because He’s got it planned out and His plan is foolproof. One day, I’m gonna see The Lord in His splendor and majesty and I won’t have the time to worry about insignificant things. And I didn’t feel as bad.
As I've gotten older I realized throughout this journey that I was pretty selfish in what I was trying to be fitness wise. After 8 years with so many ups and downs...my ultimate goal now is to be healthy nothing more. With physical changes come self righteousness and we have to remember who we were and what we are about. Stay humble. #healthy#puranutrition#workout#livelifetothefullest#allforhisglory#selflove
I've been seeing this image of a distressed Barbie with a quote about how to keep it together as a mom. I laughed because; (1) every mom probably feels this way at some point; (2) I felt and LOOKED this way MOST of the time in 2017/beginning of 2018 (except replace frazzled hair with perpetual "mom bun" & no raccoon eyes); (3) becoming a SeneGence distributor has really helped my "mom game," and (4) only knowing and putting Jesus First will ever end the negative cycles we trap ourselves in. In summary, it's about relationships: Positive relationships with ourselves, our family, our time, our priorities, our values and our God. .. . Maybe you're doing great without God as your center. Good for you. I,too, can function "just fine" when I don't put Him first, BUT something is always missing when that happens. When He is First, I'm not trying so hard at everything else....because it doesn't matter as much when I know my priority is to seek HIM first. . . So I'm working on getting back to the heart of it 🎶..when it's all about Him. It's all about YOU Jesus.🎶 What does that mean for me? Prioritizing my time, organizing my day and activities, making decisons, and serving others with God's heart and mission in mind. It's hard work. But I was reminded this weekend (again) what my mission is in EVERYTHING I do...God first. . . So here we go. Self- Evaluation complete. Time to take action on what He is calling me to do: serve others and tell people about how good God is. No matter what. And I post, not for edification of my carnal self, but to be held account. My public life should be a display of what He is doing privately in me I post for accountability. Otherwise, it's for show and I'm not about that life. Cheers. . . #wife#momofbiracialkids#momoftoddlers#authorofinstagram#childrensbookauthor#senegencedistributor#multipassionate#allforhisglory#timetoreevaluate#onwardandupward
Fear won't get you where you want to go. It's not easy to head off into uncharted waters, but every journey starts with a first step. Fear will keep you from taking that first step, from untying the boat from the dock. Fear will keep you from making new discoveries. Everyone of us was a baby once right? Did we walk & #run right away? No, we learned how to crawl first. But we knew that there must be a better (& faster) way to get around. 😄 So we tried something new, something unfamiliar. We fell a thousand times, yet because we desired to walk so bad, we never gave up to stand up and try again and again. I think that is how we should approach life too. Imagine if you didn't get out your comfort zone, you would still be crawling now. Not only would you miss out on being able to walk, but on so many other things. Without walking you would see and experience less of the world. So it is too when we tend to shy away from taking on the challenge that God has placed in our hearts. We would miss our calling and not fully experience the full life He created us for. Life with and for Jesus is like a complete puzzle, but life without Him is like a incomplete puzzle with many missing pieces. Only He can fill that void that is inside us. My grandma told me that whenever she taught me to walk; she was always by my side...waiting for me to come walking (actually #running 😉) into her hugs...and whenever I fell, she was always there to help me get back up. #jesus is like that too. Whatever you are facing right now or whatever you keep avoiding because of fear of the unknown, Jesus promises to always be there with and for you (Matthew 28:20). He will hold you up with His victorious right hand (Isaiah 41:10). He will help you to get back up, each time stronger with Him than ever before. Don't let fear keep you tied up, set the sail and see what God has planned for you. Someone is depending on YOU to do what God has called you to do. 🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅🦅 #runforjesus
Are you someone that always asks why? Are you adamant about needing all the details first? Do you tend to do things on your own timeline? Pastors Dan’s message from yesterday is a must-listen as he dives into how imperative it is to “Get Under + Stay Under” God’s authority as only He can lead us to living life Like a B O S S. Head to the link in our bio to find [March 17th - Get Under + Stay Under]!
Tough love. It’s what sets the men apart from the boys. • Tough love is far more difficult to attain than physical toughness. When you hear “tough guy,” who do you think of? Sure, many will fit the description. • What about that guy who carried a Roman cross that estimated to weigh 300 lbs. (136 kg for the olympic weightlifters), behind raw flesh that’s been lashed and beaten, down a distance of 650 yards (for time), only to be hammered and nailed to it with 3 seven-inch nails, and all for someone He loved? That’s the perspective of what it means to take up your cross daily. • He was saying to them all, “If anyone wishes to follow Me (as My disciple), he must deny himself (set aside selfish interests), and take up his cross daily (expressing a willingness to endure whatever may come) and follow Me (believing in Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me).” — LUKE 9:23 AMP • Jesus didn’t just carry the weight of the cross, He carried the weight of the world. Every offense committed was placed on His shoulders, so that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. • God demonstrates a love that conquers. A love that is long-suffering, sacrificial, unconditional, always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres. It’s a love that loves sinners and non-believers and has had the will to nail His Son to the cross for His enemies. That’s tough love! • #heartcheck : You mean the cross to Christ! + + + #godisgood#goodgod#trustgodbro#godly#gainz#livegodly#grind#glory#allforhisglory#ourgrindhisglory#hga#thebrandwiththethreecrosses#lightwork
Physical training is of SOME value, but don’t you think we also need to train our minds & souls ? 💕 cause at some point our bodies will die and no one will remember us for our physique but for the LOVE and IMPACT we were able to give with our souls 💕 so let’s train our insides as much as we train our outsides✨ - - - - #allforhisglory#mindbodysoul#impactandlove #💕
I wish I could go back and talk to this almost mom of 3 boys! I would tell her the body she has been given does not make her who she is! We are not remembered for our size, weight, or frame. I would tell her to not sacrifice her purpose to try and fit a mold from the world. Those change all the time anyways!! I would ask her to try and wrap her mind around how true success should be measured. >>> true success does NOT come from staying on top of the laundry and having it all put away, but from doing it with love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self control. So stop trying to live your life perfectly! Live where you are now, with what you have now, to the glory of Him who made you for a purpose! #allforhisglory
I really struggled this winter with seasonal depression, for lack of a better name. I think the large amount of change, plus the lack of sun really did me in. The good news is it got up to 60 degrees this weekend, and I took two hikes and I feel like a whole new person! : I have to admit though, in the middle of winter there were days that would drag on for what felt like forever! Winter felt never ending but one day passed, and then another and before I knew it the sun was out. : I think a lot of life is this way. Nothing is all that exciting, but one day goes by and then another and before we know it a lot of time has passed. : The sad part is, I think I missed a lot of what could have been really good days because I was just getting through them. I think that if we aren't careful we can miss out on so many things because it is disguised as just a normal day. : So my challenge for you this week is this. In the middle of the day stop, take three deep breaths take in the day and just be present. Wether you are having a good day or a bad day this is the day that the Lord has made rejoice and be glad in it because you only get so many of them! 3.18.2019 ____ _______ #forsuchatime#writersofig#thisistheday#thisisthedaythelordhasmade#bepresent#takeadeepbreath#writer#blogger#influencer#allforhim#allforhisglory#depression#authentic#real#thisisme#springisherefinally#rawandauthentic#rawthoughts#rawpost#influencerstylle#influencer
W O W. I’m not ready to talk yet but I wanted to say hiiiiiiii 🤗 and tell you these three truths: 1) God had been preparing me for this specific time through my work here. 2) SISTERS. We are incredible and were made for so much more. 3) On March 16, 2019 somewhere down a long dirt road, my soul was renewed. ♥️ #iamloved#allforhisglory#beloved
Have you ever heard the phrase “Mother Church”? It is a term I have often heard growing up in the church, but never truly pondered the meaning. When I think of a Mother, my thoughts coincide with unwavering love, supportive arms always open, and a power to heal like no other! But Mother, doesn’t necessarily mean only human or life form... Those thoughts are also what Church is for me. It is God’s way of revealing, He is Always here for us by giving us a place to worship and feel His presence and Power of Love Always. Happy Sunday!
What are you doing for self care today? Church 💙 serving and softball later for me. Being in community with Christ and the people at church sets the tone for my week. His glory is so apparent and sharing His love for others...an amazing feeling. And softball is fun and an activity besides the gym!! Stuff not so fun for later today...laundry and meal prep. 😂 #weightlossjourney#icandoallthings#allforhisglory#setthetone#fillmyheart#selfcaresunday
