In moments of busyness, take time to connect to your breath. You may not always find a quiet spot to do this but even if you are walking you can consciously take some deep slow breaths. Jasmin, Gazelli Reiki Master
#repost @dailyom ・・・ We all have days that seem endlessly difficult and hard. On these days, it is as if the odds are stacked against us and we just can’t get a break as one challenging situation follows another. We may feel like we’re standing in the ocean getting hit by wave after wave, never able to get a full breath. Sometimes it’s necessary or worth it to stay in the fray and work our way through. Other times, the best idea is to go home and take the breath we need in order to carry on. It’s been a wonderful week - all because of me giving to the community I live in. ✨ Today I received a thank you card and a gift certificate for teaching Kung-Fu to new moms and dads. ✨ Active Parents is where new parents can have their loved ones taken care of and a cycle of volunteers come in to teach a fitness class. 💪 I picked up a woodworking project when asked if I could build a tilt-out garbage bin for a client’s kitchen. The box is built and I’ll attach the door this weekend. Picture to follow. 🔨 By the time the weekend is over I will have grappled four times, trained Kung-Fu twice, weightlifted once, and made it to my weekly hip-hop group class. 🤹♂️ Not every week is so awesome with me moving my body so I flow with the go and ebb when I have to. 🌊 Running water never grows stale. So you just have to keep on flowing. -Bruce Lee
When your dog knows you're sick and wants to be part of the Acupuncture healing process. Both Mom and dog enjoyed the treatment very much and the results were fast and effective. The upper warmer, from the the lower Diaphragm below the heart to the upper orifice of the Stomach controls receiving and does not expect. The middle warmer, at the middle of the Stomach, has a middle position, controls the rotting and ripening of food and water. For those who are suffering from the sniffles and itchy eyes due to hay fever, we are here to help! Lee is our Super Woman in using herbal medicine and acupuncture to help treat a broad range of issues, such as hay fever!! Here are a few things to know about the use of herbs, acupuncture for hay fever: 1. For hay fever sufferers more pollen (allergens) can lead to blocked sinus, itchy eyes & throat, tearing, sneezing, congestion and in some cases wheezing, asthma and hives. 2. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) may be able to help alleviate these symptoms and strengthen the body’s immune system, so you’re less susceptible to allergic reaction. 3. From a TCM perspective, hay fever symptoms may be attributed to a weakness in the immune or digestive systems. This condition may also be categorised as being too hot or cold in nature. DON’T OUTSOURCE YOUR JOY. I pulled this card today & immediately burst into tears. They were good tears, tears in celebration of how far I’ve come, tears for the version of me I used to be & the emotional turmoil I trudged through to get to this still imperfect but exponentially more peaceful place I find myself in today. Sometimes I forget who I used to be. I forget how painful life was, how much I struggled to feel at home in my body, how much I failed to care for myself adequately, how little hope I had back then. It feels like a lifetime ago. In some ways it actually is. But also: I did the work. It was HARD, but I got here. And I want to celebrate myself for not giving up. I want to thank every incarnation of me who came before this one. And I want to high-five the me who, eight years ago, got this tattoo to signify being finally, FINALLY done with hurting herself after a decade of self-injuring. That decision was a commitment I made to myself. To make myself a priority. To start actually feeling my feelings. To keep fucking going. To stop outsourcing my joy. So today, I’m celebrating. I might still be congested & full of phlegm at the tail end of this nasty cold, but I’m celebrating. Because I’m an adult & I do what I want. When was the last time you took note of all the progress you’ve made thus far? Maybe now is a good time. Just an idea. Also: If you feel stuck, you're not. I promise. Keep going. Happy Thursday & all that jazz. . . . . . . #acupuncture#deepthoughts#tbt#tarot#magic#keepgoing#joy
I overdid it on gluten yesterday, my first time having a significant amount of it in months since my surgery. Today I woke up with two pimples. The whitehead kind with a big old pus filled head. I have other skin issues but I can’t remember the last time I had a true old fashioned good old zit. I’m also feeling tired, irritable, anxious and depressed. I’m a bit bloated in my belly and a feel a puffy layer of water all over. . I stay away from gluten bc it’s one of my food allergens but I have been known to indulge and when I do, the symptoms can vary. Have you experienced this too? It’s because it depends on how full your bucket is. If your bucket is nearly empty, you can indulge a bit and bounce back quickly. If your bucket is more full (w/ lack of sleep, worry, traffic, sugar, fighting with your partner, other food intolerances, fill in the blank), it’s much easier for it to overflow with the next thing you put in it. This is why sometimes we don’t get as much sleep as we should or eat a food allergen and we feel relatively ok and bounce back. Other times not so much. . My bucket has been feeling full. I’ve been feeling the effects of the shorter days, been worrying a little too much, not grounding myself as much as I should. . The gluten is just a detour. Not a failure or a source of shame or even a mistake. I just get back on my regular road. . Some things I’ll do to reset myself: Probiotics ACV Water Sleep Loads of high nutrient dense foods esp greens Castor oil pack Movement . How full is your bucket and what are some things you do to lessen your load?
