Acts of gratitude... what is something that you love someone doing for you without you knowing? Mine is and always has been surprising me with coffee ☕️ I absolutely love this! - - So last week I rocked up to my girl friends house after going through @beansqueeze and got us both coffee and their hazelnut balls as she is obsessed with them. Making her colleague go and get them from the Mercer street store weekly 😂 she constantly sends me messages saying how much she loves the balls. So I thought why not rock up to her house with a hot coffee and a ball for her. I have never seen someone so grateful for balls in their life 😂 - - Anyways the moral of the story is - the smallest act of kindness goes a long way! Why your out and about doing your thing today have a think about something kind you can do for someone today. It can be as small as opening the door for someone or smiling at a stranger ♥️
Day 5 of the 30 Days of Love Challenge and my work wife is showering me with kindness. Sending texts of gratitude to people in your life is a thing. Now go do that thing. Or do the other thing. You’re the best @csolarana @30_days_of_love

All during my recovery, since I got out of the hospital, I have made an issue of finding the calico cat before I go to bed & shutting her up in a 3-room area--our bedroom, the study, & the upstairs bath. My daughter (who technically owns the cats) thinks this is "weird."
Beauty in the simple things★ • What started out as just a teaching project in beautiful Bali ended up becoming a heart warming transformation of this poorly kept school. 🌎 • • There were cracks in the classrooms from earthquakes that had hit where you could see through to the outside. Mold was growing on the sides of the walls in one of the rooms.😓 • • I asked myself, “What is the most that I can do for the kids here in the short amount of time that I have?” So we set up a fundraiser that blew up in a short amount of time so that we could repaint, renovate, & redecorate the classrooms.🙏🏼 • • The most amazing part of the beginning of my time teaching in Bali was seeing that the people there were so happy ALREADY even with very little!🙌🏼 If you don’t know any different or better than what you’re used to, what would be the reason for them to not be happy?👁 THAT was one of the most humbling lessons I learned while traveling & sometimes you don’t FULLY understand certain things until you get to experience them for yourself.🕊 • • Sharing what I learn with you guys so that hopefully it’ll inspire even ONE of you to take time to do something selfless this week. DM me if you do & I’ll share it on my page!!💋

Happy Monday friends! We have a fun challenge for you today! Since it's Random Acts of Kindness week be sure to reach out to 2 people today and do something kind for them! One of our favorite websites is http://www.helpothers.org/ (link in profile) It has all kinds of great ideas!! And, let us know something that someone did for you once....GO! #randomactsofkindness
It’s National Random Acts of Kindness week, y’all! Who’s ready to be awesome for others? This week, we’ll share a different idea every day of how you can perform acts of kindness for the postpartum mothers around you. Bear in mind: postpartum lasts longer than 6 weeks. Have a friend or cousin who had a baby 6 months ago? You never know how far a kind act will go for them – in the midst of sleep deprivation (oi!), teething (nooo!), and figuring out how to feed a baby solids (what?!). Get out there, friends. A little goes a long way. Our first idea will be this evening and we’ll give you a hint: it can be very helpful to growing families and you don’t even have to barge into their house to do it (though, love is often shown by settling right into their lives, too! Sense the tone). Stay tuned with us all week for new ideas on how to be there for moms, and PLEASE share ideas that you come up with. We’d love to hear them. #moms#motherhood#newmoms#newborn#newbornmothers #postpartum#postpartummothers#postpartumrecovery#4thtrimester#afterbirth #postpartumsupport#nationaldays#nationalweeks #nationalrandomactsofkindnessweek #randomactsofkindness#actsofkindness#kindness#momlife#motherhoodrising

Saturday the 16th will be one experience I will never forget. I will say it was stressful and frustrating to get everything together before we left off for this social event. If it was not for everyone’s helping hand this would’ve never came together so on that note let me just tell you about this event. The wilkesboro seventh day Adventist Church decided to give things to our community instead of giving stuff to each other at church. We had 6 cars filled with kids and grownups excited and ready to spread love and kindness. Each group had there own tubs full of all kinds of goodies like, flowers for the elderly. hand lotion for nurses. foot lotion for people who had a job that requires a lot of standing. water and a bag of chips for the ups, mail carries, and people that worked outside. Homemade fudge and cookies for anyone you thought needed it. blankets for the elderly in the nursing homes with a small story we read to them and a word of prayer. coloring books, balloons and Rubiks cube’s for the kids we saw. Gift cards to go somewhere to eat and sweet frog gift cards to get a frozen treat. We put sticky pads on cars, mirrors , and bathroom stalls. A rock with a bible verse to put on a walking track. Packs of gum with a bible verse to give to someone you that needed and encouraging word. We had a lot more of stuff that our groups did and a lot of stories to share with each other when we met back at church. The little kids were busting at seems with joy and stories they wanted to share. This was just five hours of sharing kindness and love! If you are trying to reach people in your community I highly recommend doing this the people you see and help will not only bless them or plant a seed of of kindness but it also blesses you and makes you feel like you’re overflowing with love, happiness, & kindness! Take a look at 1 john 1:7 #actsofkindness

For Presidents Day, we salute America’s oldest living president, Jimmy Carter. At 94, he’s still setting an inspiring example of what it means to be actively involved in giving back through acts of kindness and his many humanitarian efforts. 📷: @thecartercenter . #presidentsday#atriaseniorliving#jimmycarter#actsofkindness
For #randomactsofkindnessday, me and some of the R.A.K.E. (Random Acts of Kindness Everywhere) #rake Crew hosted a pop up prom at a nursing home in Cleveland. I’m not sure who enjoyed it more, us or them!
