This memory popped up on Facebook from four years ago (mad photo editing skills eh?! 🤣 I didn't have a smart phone yet)....my first transformation and it was a month before I signed up as a coach. Do you know what I notice the most from the picture on the left?! The look on my face. I remember the feelings rushing through me at that very moment..... I was feeling very defeated. 11 months postpartum with baby #2 of working super hard to get back into shape and had come to the conclusion this was the new me. I did not believe in myself. I did not believe an 8 week Pilates/Yoga blended program would do a darn thing. My sister kept saying you have to try it! I trusted her. ❗️❗️SHOULD YOU FAST ON VACATION? ❗️❗️ That’s when I do my best fasting! Looking through my travel pics from this year, I’ve realized that I looked my leanest on trips. Why? I would spend all day exploring and getting excited about the cool scenery (and Instagram fodder). Then I feast on the tasty local cuisine guilt-free!
I used to be like most out there when it came to nutrition and having an "all or nothing" mindset when it came to food. I wasn't "allllowed" chocolate, cookies, chips, potatoes or nuts *face palm* but over the years I've started letting go of those rules and seeing food in a whole new light! But prepare for your mind to be blown 💣💥 You can have the foods you love and reach your goals if you stay within your calorie goal (for maintenance/fat loss/muscle gain) for the day! And you will feel satisfied and fulfilled. Start thinking of food as "nutrient dense" (fruits and veggies, healthy protein/fats ect) and "not so nutrient dense" (Chocolate cookies ect) and it makes ALL the difference. All food is good for you (either for your body or your soul) and serves a purpose.
