Here’s my fitness transformation. Like I always tell my mom, “Once an insecure little boy, now a Superman.” Honestly, starting weightlifting/bodybuilding changed me for the better. Pressed for time but determined to get a quick workout in? Try this! It’s a combination of my own favorite squat variations paired with pushups. It’s a perfect, quick, full-body workout for a busy girl (or guy) who’s always on-the-go.  Each round is a total of 100 squats and 25 pushups. You will break up the squat variations into 5 sets of 20 and alternate them with 5 sets of 5 pushups. 1 round only takes a few minutes! But if you have more time, do more rounds!! . The worst thing is getting too comfortable. So, get comfortable with being uncomfortable. . If I can define everything that’s happening right now in one word, I’d probably say “crazy”. Life has been... crazy. . Lately, I’ve been challenging myself to do a lot of things outside my comfort zone and just being a little “crazier”. Training differently. Breaking out of my introverted shell (believe it or not 🙈) and talking to complete strangers. Being less of a homebody and physically spending more time with my friends and loved ones. Reconnecting with old friends that I haven’t spoken to in years. Finally accepting and letting go of toxic relationships with people so I can heal. Making new friends. Reaching out to people related to business. Pushing my insecurities and fear aside and saying “yes” to opportunities that were offered to me, which I would’ve turned down in the past because I’d be too shy and afraid. . I’m not going to lie, not every single thing went successfully and as planned, but I’ve learned to be okay with it. I’ve learned that you can either dwell on a “failure” or take it positively as a “lesson”. And with each lesson... you learn, grow and become better. . EVERYTHING happens for a reason. You don’t meet people by accident. And when one door closes, another one will always open. A better one. One that’s meant for YOU... I truly believe that. ❤️ . For people that I talk to, and for the people who know my “dream/goal”, they often tell me “Jess, you’re crazy”. And you’re right. Being crazy has gotten me to a new part of my life where I’m very uncomfortable. Where I am truthfully scared! Where my anxiety takes the best of me and I question whether I should continue. But maybe I am crazy because I’ve slowly grown to love this feeling! I honestly don’t know whether I’m headed in the right direction... whether everything will work out in my favour... whether I’m doing what’s best for

I went to the gym consistently yea, but I didn’t prep my meals for every day and I ended up eating out way more than I would’ve liked to(some were healthy choices, some weren’t🤷🏽‍♀️)⁣ ⁣ It’s all good though, it’s a start of a new week! My main goal this week (and for the next few weeks) is to focus on my nutrition & plan out my meals to the T. Our Whole Health Approach to Feeding Choosing to bottle feed Jacob was not a decision I made lightly. I am very, very well educated on the amazing benefits of breast feeding. I think it is truly a wonderful thing to do if it's right for you, your family and your individual circumstance. After my son's birth it was not the right choice for me.  Me having to be constantly available to feed, being the only person responsible for that role really stressed me out. I was so torn. I am a fitness and health professional. The weight of the responsibility of choosing what I know is nutritionally a healthier choice for my new baby and of setting an example to my friends, followers, clients was unbearable. I felt trapped by the expectation (from myself and others) I felt resentment towards my husband as he did not have to deal with this responsibility or decision and Jacob wasn't even born yet. Almost all of my new mama friends breast fed and I could not attend their feeding groups which was a factor I did not consider when making my choice. That was isolating and upsetting at the time but it was all part of my decision and I had to own that. I found a wonderful local group 'Babies At The Bridge' that we could attend as formula feeders. It was my life line and where I made some of my closet friends. I personally did not feel as a bottle feeding mum that I got the same level of support in the community as my breast feeding mama friends. I feel government run or funded feeding groups should be all inclusive. Bottle feeding is not an 'easier' choice and these mums need support and information too. The over whelming response I got from my stories was ALL mums need more support, less judgement. I couldn't agree more. We are all doing our best for our families. I knew for me breast feeding would not end well for my mental health. I knew I would buckle under that pressure and that responsibility solely on me would ruin those precious first few months of Jacob's life. I am the only

Hey y’all! Had a super relaxed weekend and I hope you did too. Had a great time with all my friends and took things easy. Didn’t eat my best this weekend but I want to remind you all that this is NOT a major issue. I hopped on the scale this morning and hadn’t gained anything. Just remember that one day without the gym or a minor eating setback is only temporary. However, you must get back into your good habits immediately. Multiple days of bad habits lead to those habits moving from temporary to permanent. Just remember to get back into your routine!  It’s crazy that I am headed into the 8th and final week of this challenge. Can’t stress enough how much this challenge has done for me mentally and physically. Here is a little transformation pic for y’all. In my high school days I hated working out. I thought it was a waste of time and pointless. I wasn't motivated enough to give it a chance. Till couple years ago I forced myself to give it a try and stay at it. Yes, at first it was very difficult, but I stayed at it consistently for a couple weeks and started seeing some results. ⁣ ⁣ Seeing my results made everything about what I use to hate turn into something I started to love. As time went on I also realized that fitness doesn’t just make you physically stronger, but it makes you mentally stronger. That is something I am extremely grateful for. The best feeling in fitness in my mind is seeing your hard work pay off to yourself and to inspire others to keep striving for greatness.
