💯 day at school and life with a first-grader "If I've told you once, I've told you 100 times to ..." His answer: "stop brengeng [bringing] yore [your] tablet" I guess he's been listening to us the last week and change he's been without his tablet, after catching him sneaking it to school and then lying about it. Now let's see if he remembers when we dig his tablet out from it's hiding place this weekend.
My dear children, let’s not just talk about love; let’s practice real love. This is the only way we’ll know we’re living truly, living in God’s reality. It’s also the way to shut down debilitating self-criticism, even when there is something to it. For God is greater than our worried hearts and knows more about us than we do ourselves. 1 John 3:18-20 MSG https://bible.com/bible/97/1jn.3.18-20.MSG
This is what my 4-year-old put together for an early Valentine's Day present for me. No matter that I was with her when she decided she had to give this dinosaur to me or that I paid for it. It was so sweet how she just spontaneously decided after picking out Valentines for her classmates that she had to get something for me, too. 💗 The card was all her doing, though, and made her feel like she had gift wrapped my present. 💖
"No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:39 NLT https://bible.com/bible/116/rom.8.39.NLT
The Slacks have returned from our Disney Christmas Vacation, but this picture sums up our trip pretty nicely. There was so much Disney experienced in one week that it will likely take another week to rest and recover. I am so grateful for all the family memories created on this trip.
