Banded hip thrusts executed by @gabitaylor 🎾- _____________________________________________________ I find these a great tool to use early in the training journey in a GPP (General Physical Preparation) block as they help the client to really understand how to connect with their glutes. ______________________________________________________ I'd often program 2-3 second isometric holds in end range, to accentuate this further. _____________________________________________________ We tend to bias a band over a bar in the early stages to build competency, an understanding of the objective and a basic strength foundation, then when we shift our programming focus we introduce the bar and heavier loads that come with it. _____________________________________________________ Just my rationale, many ways to reach the goal... 👊
