There is nothing wrong with speaking of accomplishments. But ego is unattractive. There is a saying that, "an ego trip is a journey to nowhere" (Robert Half) and "Ego is your souls worse enemy" (Rusty Eric). There is a wise proverb about being humble that states, it is better to take the more humble seat and be told by your host, why are you here, I have a better seat for you, than to take the best seat and to be told, this seat is for someone else, you have to move back here.
💫Homemade Elderberry Gummies💫 My niece (cute hand model) and nephews went on a camping trip the day we left Cali, so before I left I made a batch of elderberry gummies for them to take along. - Homemade gummies are a great healthy treat. Store bought varieties are usually made from a combination of gelatin, corn syrup (more common), sugar, water, and artificial food coloring and flavors. My family reacts to artificial colors and corn syrup isn’t my favorite sweetener option for an everyday snack so a lot of store bought options are ruled out. - This recipe uses @vitalproteins beef gelatin (pasture-raised, grass-fed, non GMO), raw local honey, cold-pressed fruit juice and elderberry syrup (high in vitamin C and antioxidants, known to support immune system) from a company I trust. It is definitely more time consuming than buying, but I enjoy making them for a treat! - Homemade Gummy Recipe 🐻 1 cup of juice (I used 3/4 cup organic cold pressed tart cherry juice and 1/4 cup #wisewomanherbals elderberry syrup) 🐻 2 Tablespoons of raw honey 🐻 3 Tablespoons of gelatin (I used vital proteins noted above in green container) - Steps: 1. Warm juice over medium/low heat (don’t boil) 2. Add honey and whisk until dissolved 3. Add in gelatin a half a tablespoon at a time, making sure it is incorporated before adding in more. 4. Whisk until (most) lumps are gone. 5. Pour into a glass baking dish or syringe into fun silicone molds (the animal ones I used are linked in profile!) 6. Put in the fridge to set. Once set, gummies will keep their shape at room temp in a sealed jar.
