Billy Joel celebrated his first Long Island New Year’s Eve concert in 25 years at Nassau Coliseum with a set packed with fan favorites and local flavor. He welcomed in 2019 with the traditional “Auld Lang Syne” paired with “Only the Good Die Young.” He talked about finally graduating from Hicksville High School 25 years after he was supposed to, as he introduced “This Is the Time,” joking: “Now I can finally get out of this dead-end job.” “I don’t play Long Island much anymore,” he said. “But I live here.” Did you attend the concert last night? If you didn’t, how did you ring in the new year? (Photo credit: Daniel Goodrich)

Certainly the highlight of our weekend! We’ve love Frozen so much & have been talking about going to Disney on Ice with our cousins for weeks now (he’s been asking to go to Mickey’s Castle aka Disney World every day too... so this is the best I can do right now!) I felt so sick Friday and yesterday morning and miraculously felt so much better in time for the show. Nothing makes me happier than seeing him & my nieces and nephews so happy and excited— and they were! I never thought I’d get so excited to take him to things like this, but I totally get it now. Heck, I even wore the ears! I loved seeing the kids’ faces especially when they got to see all of the #disney characters! And we sang the loudest to Let it Go lol! . Then last night out of nowhere after being happy as can be all day, Christian got a little stomach bug or something ugh it was awful. Thank goodness it was not a night I had to go to work at 3 am. Thank goodness my mom slept over & helped me because Mo was traveling. Parents, I’m sure you’ve been there stripping the crib with a crying baby. Worst. . Anyway, so grateful everyone was happy and healthy for the best afternoon yesterday (& thankfully Christian is totally fine this morning). What a gift. Now I get the whole magic of Disney thing! . .#DisneyOnIce . . Ps- seeing him so happy at the show I’m considering taking him to the real Mickey’s Castle for a quick trip after the baby comes and I’m all healed... he’ll be 2 1/2... and I’ll have a newborn... am I crazy?!
In honor of #loveyourpetday, here are two important pups from the tournament last week. Chayce took a break from his training to become a seeing eye dog to drop by and catch some tennis, while Dasha was the winner our Valentine’s #puppylove photo contest.
