6 month transformation from a strong 158lbs to an athletic AND strong 136lbs.  POST #2 in this series: Let’s talk about why I cut out meat πŸ€”... Disclaimer: Usually people read the first post before the second post... so maybe do that before asking a bunch of bad questions in the comments 🀷🏽‍♀️ (being sarcastic guys... but for real, be sure to check out the first post from last Tuesday if you haven’t read it already, so you are up to date on everything going on). Let’s jump straight in... As mentioned in post #1, I have Crohn’s disease. I was diagnosed at 17 after going to the emergency room for severe bleeding (if you think it’s gross, indeed you are correct πŸ˜‚). I struggle with digesting food, absorbing nutrients, bloating, and pain after eating. After LOTS of research, I decided to try a plant based diet 🌱. I cut out all meat for about 2 months. I saw a dramatic decrease in strength (I did not track protein consumption as closely as I should have, so I am not blaming this 100% on plant based diet). I added in fish and shrimp, and stuck to that 90% of the time.  As mentioned in the previous post, I did have meat occasionally. I formed a “protein preference” list to follow. It goes like this... FISH πŸ‘‰πŸΌ Shrimp πŸ‘‰πŸΌ Turkey πŸ‘‰πŸΌ Chicken πŸ‘‰πŸΌ Ground beef πŸ‘‰πŸΌ Steak (explained in post #1). After cutting out meat, I saw an immediate difference in digestion, abdominal pain, night sweats, inflammation, and water retention. Once I added in shrimp and fish, I saw a balance come back to my strength and my energy levels.  Next week...
