It’s been a week of new faces and old friends here at Olde House Shoppe. When you own a small business, that’s just about the best kind you can have. : Each and every time one of you walks through the door, it just tickles me. : Thank y’all for making it possible for me to do what I love. : Happy Sunday ❤️
As I prepare to say goodbye to the flowers until next Spring, I’m reminded of the efforts that go into growing something beautiful. : You must nurture it, tend to it, and care for it, even if there’s not a bloom in sight. : Because eventually, and often when you least expect, they will come again. : Have a good evening, friends ❤️
A crisp breeze blows as you make your way across a sun-dappled orchard. The scent of sweet red apples fills the air. Hints of cinnamon, clove, and pumpkin follow letting you know for certain, that Fall is here🍎🍁🍂 : ‘Apple Picking’ is one of four scents available in new soaps at Olde House Shoppe. Handcrafted and made with natural oils.
As the first official week of Fall starts here at Olde House Shoppe, I’m reminded of the proverb “You reap what you sow.” : All of us plant seeds throughout our lives and those that we nourish are the ones that grow, whether they be positive, negative, good, or bad. : It’s my hope that a worthy crop is being planted here at this little place and that when the harvest comes, it will be enough for all. : Happy Fall, everyone 🍁
This primitive feed/produce bin is one of the most unique pieces I’ve had in the shoppe. A weathered finish reveals scratches and scuffs, which are all a part of its story. : Use the storage for towels in a bathroom or blankets and throws for chilly Fall evenings. 🍁🍂🎃🍂🍁
