What foods are you sensitive to? Just about any food can become a food sensitivity, it's not just the processed, fried, fatty foods. Even seemly healthy foods can be reactive. The easiest way to figure out your food sensitives is to get tested. Dr. Laurie Cullen, ND, explains her experience with food sensitivity testing through the Immuno Bloodprint, “My results came back positive for a number of foods that had been a regular part of my diet, such as wheat, eggs, cow’s milk, and soybeans. As instructed by the dietary guidelines in the Immuno Health Guide, I removed these items from my diet for about four weeks. I am happy to report that symptoms that I had previously been experiencing (gas, bloating and non-descript abdominal pain) seemed to be greatly alleviated during the elimination period. When I resumed eating several of these foods, my symptoms returned. I am very pleased with the results of the food sensitivity testing.” If you would like more information about food sensitivity testing, please feel free to message us or visit our website, www.immunolabs.com. #cleaneating #inflammation #inflammatoryboweldisease #irritablebowelsyndrome #ibs #biohacking #diet #healthychoices #healthyeating #healthtips #nutrition #digestion #foodallergies #allergies #foodsensitivities #foodintolerance #bloated #bloatedbelly #fitness #healthiswealth #healthy #health #foodismedicine #lifestyle #eathealthy #cleaneats #healing #glutenfree
The bell pepper is a cultivar group of the Capsicum annum species of plants, part of the family of foods known as nightshade vegetables. Botanically, it’s a fruit, but nutritionally considered a vegetable. While the other cultivars within this species are famous for their capsaicin content (which is what gives most peppers and chilis, such as cayenne peppers, their spicy taste), bell peppers contain no capsaicin and are referred to in many cultures as “sweet peppers.” Unfortunately, approximately 40 million Americans have a delayed food sensitivity to green pepper. Because of its medium level of reactivity, if green pepper is a part of your diet we recommend sending us a message letting us know what chronic health symptoms you have been experiencing. We can connect you with one of our Food Sensitivity Experts to assist you in finding out if green pepper, or any other common foods, may be triggering your symptoms. #cleaneating #inflammation #inflammatoryboweldisease #irritablebowelsyndrome #ibs #biohacking #diet #healthychoices #healthyeating #healthtips #nutrition #digestion #foodallergies #allergies #foodsensitivities #foodintolerance #bloated #bloatedbelly #fitness #healthiswealth #healthy #health #foodismedicine #lifestyle #eathealthy #cleaneats #healing #glutenfree
Are you listening to what your body is telling you? The pain you experience is your body’s way of telling you something is wrong. Too often we ignore the signs. Rebecca Wing shares her experience with listening to her body and treating her severe eczema:⠀ ⠀ "What we put in our mouths can cause such a wide range of problems that one would likely not link to food. How can coffee and tomato make my eczema flare up like it does? I would have thought a sensitivity to foods would cause my gastric system to have fits, breathing problems, not my eczema. We all have heard the phrase ‘listen to your body, it will tell you if there is something wrong,’ the fuel that we feed our bodies can cause so many symptoms that we wouldn't link to food. The Immuno Bloodprint [a food sensitivity test] was an eye-opener for me."⠀ ⠀ What is your body telling you? Mung beans, which have the scientific species name Vigna radiate, are a type of small, green legume. What we know as “bean sprouts” in many Asian dishes are most often mung bean sprouts. They are a high source of protein, fiber, antioxidants and phytonutrients. Mung beans appear in cuisines around the world, mostly in India, China, the Philippines and Korea. Although in some countries, including the U.S, they’re less popular than other bean varieties — like chickpeas or black beans — mung beans have some huge health benefits to offer. These days, they are beginning to pop up in protein powders, canned soups and restaurant dishes stateside. With less than 4% of the US population having a food sensitivity to mung bean it is a pretty low-level reactive food. However, if you find you are having some type of inflammatory reaction and believe it might be the mung bean you are consuming, we recommend sending us a message. You can let us know what chronic health symptoms you have been experiencing. We will connect you with one of our Food Sensitivity Experts to assist you in finding out if mung bean, or any other common foods, may be triggering your symptoms. #cleaneating #inflammation #inflammatoryboweldisease #irritablebowelsyndrome #ibs #biohacking #diet #healthychoices #healthyeating #healthtips #nutrition #digestion #foodallergies #allergies #foodsensitivities #foodintolerance #bloated #bloatedbelly #fitness #healthiswealth #healthy #health #foodismedicine #lifestyle #eathealthy #cleaneats #healing #glutenfree
Is your diet making you sick? Dr. Alfred Robinson, MD, explains his personal experience with food sensitivity testing, “Over the past eight years or more, I have been getting muscle soreness and stiffness, as well as decreased energy. Upon awakening, it was often difficult to get started. I would have to spend as much as half an hour on the treadmill to work the stiffness and pain out of my muscles before I felt I could face the rest of the day. It took me several years to figure that out, and during the last four or five years, it was fairly successful. But I was driven to find that kind of therapy because I couldn’t take any medication of the common analgesic varieties. Early in the beginning of my disability, I was taking various over-the-counter analgesics, but at that time I was given a diagnosis of muscular degeneration of the ‘wet’ type, which is the worst kind. It leads to progressive loss of vision and is the most rapidly degenerating of the two, called ‘wet’ or ‘dry’ types. Any kind of analgesic medications which can be bought without a prescription is known to cause increased speed of progression of the problem. I thought losing my vision was worse than having the pain if I had to make a trade-off. Various diagnoses were offered to me, including rheumatism, fibromyalgia, pemphigus, chronic fatigue syndrome, and other autoimmune diseases. I sent in a blood sample and had the tests done and have followed the instructions on the diet which I received from Immuno Labs. I’m very pleased with the results I have obtained. Most of the muscular soreness and stiffness is gone and I have increased energy. I have also taken off a few pounds.” If you would like more information about food sensitivity testing, please feel free to contact us or visit our website, www.immunolabs.com. #cleaneating #inflammation #inflammatoryboweldisease #irritablebowelsyndrome #ibs #biohacking #diet #healthychoices #healthyeating
Whitefish can refer to any of almost 30 different types of fish, mainly freshwater varieties. These fish are usually mild in flavor and make for a quick, no-fuss preparation. When baking a lean version, such as pollock, catfish, Pacific cod, Pacific halibut, tilapia, flounder, snapper, striped bass or haddock, add a little fat in the form of butter for flavor and moisture. Pair with steamed vegetables, a modest portion of brown rice or quinoa, and you've got a healthy dinner for almost any day of the week. With less than 2% of the US population having a food sensitivity to whitefish it is a pretty low-level reactive food. However, if you find you are having some type of inflammatory reaction and believe it might be the whitefish you are consuming, we recommend sending us a message. You can let us know what chronic health symptoms you have been experiencing. If you get an occasional headache you may consider that normal. What is that occasional headache became a monthly, weekly or even daily occurrence? For many, this is a debilitating reality. The culprit may be your diet. Through food sensitivity testing you can identify what foods your body is having delayed inflammatory reactions to. From there, avoidance of your reactive foods can provide more headache-free days. ⠀ ⠀ Patient Robert Leues explains his experience with food sensitivity testing through the Immuno Bloodprint, “I experienced tremendous results by taking the Immuno Bloodprint. I had been plagued by severe stomachaches and headaches for most of my adult life. After receiving the results, I eliminated all [of the reactive] foods and was intrigued that coffee and banana showed up highly positive. I regularly drank coffee and had bananas for breakfast. In about 2 weeks, my digestive problems and headaches had disappeared. I am very grateful to Immuno Laboratories and the Immuno Bloodprint for my improved health.”⠀ ⠀ If you would like to see how identifying your food sensitivities can change your health please feel free to contact us or visit our website, www.immunolabs.com. #cleaneating #inflammation #inflammatoryboweldisease #irritablebowelsyndrome #ibs #biohacking #diet #healthychoices #healthyeating #healthtips #nutrition #digestion #foodallergies #allergies #foodsensitivities #foodintolerance #bloated #bloatedbelly #fitness #healthiswealth #healthy #health #foodismedicine #lifestyle #eathealthy #cleaneats #healing #glutenfree
The health of the animal and the processing methods of milk can categorize dairy as either one of the healthier foods in the world or one of the worst. If you’re sticking with cow’s milk, always choose organic, milk from pasture-raised cows to avoid chemicals in milk. If possible, look for organic milk from Jersey or Guernsey cow breeds. They haven’t gone through a genetic mutation that leads to an inflammatory protein called A1 beta‐casein winding up in the milk. Unfortunately, approximately 247 million Americans have a delayed food sensitivity to cow's milk. Because of its high level of reactivity, if cow's milk is a part of your diet we recommend sending us a message letting us know what chronic health symptoms you have been experiencing. We can connect you with one of our Food Sensitivity Experts to assist you in finding out if cow's milk, or any other common foods, may be triggering your symptoms. #cleaneating #inflammation #inflammatoryboweldisease #irritablebowelsyndrome #ibs #biohacking #diet #healthychoices #healthyeating #healthtips #nutrition #digestion #foodallergies #allergies #foodsensitivities #foodintolerance #bloated #bloatedbelly #fitness #healthiswealth #healthy #health #foodismedicine #lifestyle #eathealthy #cleaneats #healing #glutenfree
"I noticed a significant improvement in my energy. My sinuses were less problematic; I felt less bloating after meals, and my mood was more stable," Dr. Elliot, MD. What changed in Dr. Elliot's life that would tackle all these issues? Was it a new medication? A new daily routine? Did she get more sleep? Something did change but none of these things were the cause. Dr. Elliot achieved symptom relief from a change in diet once she discovered her food sensitivities. After following the results of the Immuno Bloodprint (food sensitivity test) for 90 days all these nagging symptoms stopped. What are food sensitivities? They are delayed immune reactions to food that tend to cause inflammatory symptoms. Just like in Dr. Elliot's case the symptoms can seem as though they are unrelated because food sensitivities cause a wide range of symptoms. How can you find out what your sensitivities are? A simple blood test called the Immuno Bloodprint. Turnips, known by their scientific name Brassica rapa var. rapa, are a type of root vegetable grown in temperate climates around the world. They generally have white skin tinged with purple or red as well as white flesh on the interior. They also have turnip greens that grow on top, which can be consumed in place of other leafy greens like spinach or kale. They can be eaten raw or pickled, boiled, grilled, roasted or sautéed and enjoyed as a nutritious and flavorful side dish. The turnip taste is often described as mild yet bitter, and turnips are used much like potatoes in many turnips recipes. Unfortunately, approximately 24 million Americans have a delayed food sensitivity to turnip. Because of its medium level of reactivity, if turnip is a part of your diet we recommend sending us a message letting us know what chronic health symptoms you have been experiencing. You could be unknowingly sabotaging your health. In spite of your best efforts, you might not be achieving our health or weight goals. It can be frustrating, time-consuming and depressing. This perpetuates the negative cycle that keeps you from reaching your goals. ⠀ ⠀ The simple solution might be to look at what you are consuming. Dr. Butera, D.C, explains her struggles with general health and her results from the Immuno Bloodprint test, "My experience with the immuno labs sensitivity testing has been profound. I have spent the last 3 years working on my general health. I had found no diet successful, my energy level fluctuated daily, I found myself taking a lot of supplements to balance mood swings, and my cardiovascular system was poor.⠀ ⠀ During this diet (the last 6 weeks) I have not had mood swings, sugar cravings or energy drops. I have felt more balance throughout the day than in the last 3 years. I have lost 10 lbs (132 to 122) and have been able to train for a triathlon in a much more successful and enjoyable fashion.⠀ ⠀ My goal is good health and I have finally discovered what I was doing to sabotage myself. Sometimes it was just a matter of how food was prepared rather than what the food itself was (no pepper – no brewers yeast or fermented products- no gluten – no dairy). Learning how these factors affect me will help guide me now and in the future."⠀ ⠀ Better health can be one blood test away. Horseradish is a root vegetable that’s most commonly used as a spice. Known mostly for its strong flavor, when prepared it becomes a popular topping for meat and fish. Fresh horseradish is available in markets almost year-round, but the best time to buy it is in the spring. You can usually choose from roots ranging from 2–4 inches (although the whole root can be up to 20 inches long). When you choose your root, pick a section that is firm, and has no soft, green or moldy portions. You should also avoid overly dry and shriveled roots, as they are probably not the freshest. Unfortunately, approximately 37 million Americans have a delayed food sensitivity to horseradish. Because of its medium level of reactivity, if horseradish is a part of your diet we recommend sending us a message letting us know what chronic health symptoms you have been experiencing. We can connect you with one of our Food Sensitivity Experts to assist you in finding out if horseradish, or any other common foods, may be triggering your symptoms. #cleaneating #inflammation #inflammatoryboweldisease #irritablebowelsyndrome #ibs #biohacking #diet #healthychoices #healthyeating #healthtips #nutrition #digestion #foodallergies #allergies #foodsensitivities #foodintolerance #bloated #bloatedbelly #fitness #healthiswealth #healthy #health #foodismedicine #lifestyle #eathealthy #cleaneats #healing #glutenfree
Feeling anxious? Anxiety stems from the stressors in our lives but it can also come from your diet. What you consume contributes greatly to your anxiety as it affects your brain chemistry and hormonal balances. If you aren’t eating the right foods for your body, you may notice a heightened sense of anxiety. Even foods that are considered “healthy” might not be a right fit for your body. Here is where it becomes important to identify your food sensitivities. ⠀⠀ Patient and Registered Nurse, Belinda Visconti, explains her experience with food sensitivity testing through the Immuno Bloodprint, “I eat a very healthy diet. It includes 8-10 servings of fruits and veggies per day 3oz of meat 4 times a week, fish once a week, beans 3-4 times a week and very occasionally some processed food such as a bagel or pancakes. Imagine my surprise when 3 of my healthy staples came back as 3+ and 4+ on a scale of 1-4!!!! Bananas, eggs, and almonds were the culprits. Dairy and gluten came back as 1+.⠀ ⠀ I immediately stopped eating my offending foods. About one week later I noticed that my chronic anxiety decreased by 50% and my sleep improved leaving me with so much more energy! I didn’t notice much of a difference after that but about a month in, I noted that my food cravings had disappeared and that the 10 pounds that absolutely defied leaving my body, were gone!!! (I didn’t even try to lose it!!) Now at 2½ months in, the joint pain that couldn’t be diagnosed is almost gone!”⠀ ⠀ It is amazing what a small change to even the healthiest of diets can do. Soy beans have been a staple of the Japanese and Asian diet for more than 5,000 years. Examples of soy-based products include tofu, miso, soymilk, soy burgers, soy beans and edamame. The difference between soy beans and edamame is in the level of maturity when the beans are harvested. Soy beans are mature, while edamame is harvested while the beans are still young and soft. Soy beans have been accused of everything from causing breast cancer to thyroid damage to flooding men and women with estrogen. Unfortunately, approximately 40 million Americans have a delayed food sensitivity to soy. Are the foods you eat every day causing harmful inflammation in your body? Food sensitivities are delayed inflammatory reactions to foods in your diet and they are more common than you might think. Dr. Robert Feingold, M.D., shares his experience with food sensitivity testing through the Immuno Bloodprint, “I personally had the Immuno Bloodprint standard IgG, food sensitivity assay testing. The results demonstrated, to my not inconsiderable surprise, a total of 33 sensitivity reactions of which 8 were rated +2 or higher. Many of the food items listed were an integral part of my daily diet for many years. I proceeded to follow the food elimination diet as best as I could over the past one and a half months, with particular attention to the 8 highly reactive items (including cane sugar, brewers yeast, buckwheat, lettuce, broccoli). I must admit that it was not always easy to avoid certain food items, but I did the best I could. I can honestly report, to my surprise and delight, that various bothersome symptoms, that have chronically plagued me and have learned to accept as ‘normal’ for me showed marked improvement. Specifically, GI symptoms including abdominal pains, excessive gas, bloating, diarrhea, heartburn, all improved dramatically. In addition, my energy level appeared to improve with a reduction in lethargy and fatigue and as an added bonus, I lost 5 pounds and now weigh 164.” If you would like more information about food sensitivity testing, please feel free to message us or visit our website, www.immunolabs.com. #cleaneating #inflammation #inflammatoryboweldisease#irritablebowelsyndrome #ibs #biohacking #diet #healthychoices#healthyeating #healthtips #nutrition #digestion #foodallergies #allergies#foodsensitivities #foodintolerance #bloated #bloatedbelly #fitness#healthiswealth #healthy #health #foodismedicine #lifestyle #eathealthy#cleaneats #healing #glutenfree
The vast majority of walnuts purchased in stores are English walnuts, which are easier to crack and larger than black walnuts. In some places, black walnuts can be purchased in stores or at a reputable online store. The black walnut (Juglans nigra) has been a nutritious addition to the diets of individuals since ancient times, from the Native American to Asian cultures. Studies have focused on the constituents, flavonoids, quinones and polyphenols found in the kernels, which are known for their antineoplastic, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antiatherogenic and neuroprotective properties. Unfortunately, approximately 58 million Americans have a delayed food sensitivity to walnuts. If you struggle with frequent headaches or migraines, your diet may be a contributing factor. Food sensitivities are delayed inflammatory reactions to food, produced by your immune system. When your immune system identifies certain foods as being harmful, it produces antibodies against the food. During this reaction, inflammation is created. Inflammation can occur just about anywhere in your body, including the nerves, blood vessels, and muscles that cover your head and neck. Your brain then receives pain signals from these areas and interprets them as a headache. How do you tackle this problem? Identify your food sensitivities through a simple blood test like the Immuno Bloodprint. Patient Lisa Boyle, L.P.N, explains her experience with food sensitivities testing, “Last month I had the pleasure of being tested for various food sensitivities with the Immuno Bloodprint, IgG Standard Food Sensitivity Assay. My symptoms of persistent headaches and fatigue have all but gone away since I started the rotation and elimination diet. I have energy each and every day and have not had a headache since the second week on the program!! The benefits of this wonderful test have changed my way of life. I now eat better and feel fit. It is truly incredible.”⠀ If you would like more information on how food sensitivity testing can help you please feel free to contact us and visit our website, www.immunolabs.com.⠀ #cleaneating #inflammation #inflammatoryboweldisease #irritablebowelsyndrome #ibs #biohacking #diet #healthychoices #healthyeating #healthtips #nutrition #digestion #foodallergies #allergies #foodsensitivities #foodintolerance #bloated #bloatedbelly #fitness #healthiswealth #healthy #health #foodismedicine #lifestyle #eathealthy #cleaneats #healing #glutenfree
Pinto beans have been around for centuries, and even today, some organizations and churches in the Deep South have pinto bean suppers for social gatherings. Though beans sometimes get a bad rap for their well-known, and sometimes embarrassing, gas-causing side effects, the nutritional value is vast, and they’re easy on the pocket. Pinto beans are similar to the cranberry bean in appearance in their dried form, as they’re beige in color with brown splotches and stripes that have given them their name “pinto,” which means painted in Spanish. However, once they’re cooked, those creative-looking, paint-like splotches disappear, leaving the beans a solid brown color. Unfortunately, approximately 193 million Americans have a delayed food sensitivity to pinto bean. Because of its high level of reactivity, if pinto bean is a part of your diet we recommend sending us a message letting us know what chronic health symptoms you have been experiencing.
